Truly, it's something to be admired.

[He's just happy that theirs crossed with his.]

[ which of the scions scouted them??? idek
She. Finally has to ask. ]
Pardon me. But Krile led me to believe you were a Miqo'te.
no subject
[He pauses, smiling sheepishly as a hand goes to his head. Gods, his ears, he misses his proper ears.]
I am. And I like to think I am, still. But in this world, it seems, all who come here are made to look as Hyur do, though for what reason or how I cannot say.
no subject
[ She couldn't help but ask. It could be possible - and then, perhaps, people would understand a little more. She sounded honestly quite curious, before cutting herself off. ]
...How many others can hear this?
no subject
[He pauses at her question, really thinking about it.]
I think...anyone can access this conversation, but if you prefer, I do know of a way to make such things private. It is a "setting" of sorts.
no subject
[ A shake of her head. Notably, she doesn't say they should go private - but does imply it heavily. She's been so guarded with her words. ] Anyway! It seems that means that Hyur are the dominant race of Spoken here. While it must have been an adjustment... how long have you been here?
[Private]
[And it is, because. Well, she implied she wanted privacy, and he'll give it. He's not a jerk.]
I have not been here long - two months, approching a third. It is...I do miss what I have lost. There is no denying it. But it is not such a drastic change as to warrant despair.
no subject
As a Student of Baldesion, I feel I can speak openly with you. [ Especially now, she does not add. There is quite the uncomfortable pause, however. There's many things running though her head - but she can ask them in order. As she gets more answers. ] I do not think it would be noticed if you'd gone missing. [ Blunt, but truthful from her canon point. At least she sounds apologetic? ] However, I am concerned the other Scions would be in quite the panic were I to leave them.
no subject
...No, I suppose not. [She doesn't...seem like she recalls anything regarding the First, nor does she appear like the Oracle of Light once did in the tales. So if he thinks back...ah, yes, the Isle of Val would still be lost by her conjecture, ergo his own absence in the Tower might not have been noticed by anyone, and Krile, would she still be missing? What was the timeline for all the things that happened...man was not meant to carry one hundred and twenty-something conscious years of memories, honestly.]
But I can offer what I know of our appearances in this world, and I give my word that the sources from which I've learned of them are truthful. [I mean, Emet-Selch has never lied...but also, he has Estinien's word on things, and he would have been known as the stoic Azure Dragoon, not some lying liar who lies. Or puts star-threatening plans into motion.] Our presence here seems to pause whatsoever was happening wherever we were before, and were we to return, all would be as it was then, with no disruption for our absence.

The only incidents of time being altered that Minfilia knows of was at the end of the Calamity, when the Warrior of Light... when Louisoix...
Yet, she knew it to be possible. Some classes of magic were said to reverse the flow of time, to mend injuries. And Y'shtola, well. Not even she knew how she'd made herself look eternally 23. So, it was logical. And he was a trustworthy Miqo'te, from the tales she'd heard. (If not a bit out there and very silly.) Her expression calms, if only a little. ] Then we do not need to worry about them trying to find their way to me? [ She knows that Thancred, at least, would try. She does not mean to show when she is from, but she cannot help but add, with a little chuckle: ] At least I will not be rude for missing the Sultanas' invite.
no subject
[For if he's learned anything, it is that much and more is possible.]

...You are not incorrect in that respect. There is no threat that I can see of any Ascian machinations to sow chaos and influence the summoning of primals, and whatnot. But you ought to know that those who would call themselves Ascians from our star, are, in fact, present upon this one - bereft of power, I will add, but present nonetheless.
no subject
Her expression turns dark. Dangerous. ] Then this land is not safe. We cannot know if they are simply hiding their abilities and powers.
no subject
If that was the case, then why would no soul here have the powers they ought to? Why would I appear as a hyur, rather than as my true self? The Ascians are powerful, but I think there is a considerable argument to be made that they themselves are just as powerless as anyone else.
no subject
...Even if they hold no power, they have manipulated men and brought darkness for longer then any of us have lived.
[ A deep sigh. She can't do anything. She's unknown to the people here, and her warnings would go unheeded. Still, she has to know: ]
Tell me of them.
no subject
[He can understand why they did what they did, but that doesn't make any of it good or right.]
From what I am aware of, only two of the most powerful of the Ascians are here. Elidibus you have met, I believe, and while here he seems to keep to himself. The other, whom you may not know, is Emet-Selch. From my point in time, I have...had confrontations with him, let's say.
[The kindest way to put it, really.]
no subject
I've not heard of him, no. But I cannot say I would not expect conflict and pain. That is what Ascians do. [ She will keep her eyes out. (but will not connect solus to being emet-selch because shrugs) ] I will not ask for you to recount what happened. I... know how hard it can be for some to speak of such. [ see: thancred ] But know this: even if we did not meet again, I am here for you now. For the sake of lessening their threat and the sake of our shared friend.
no subject
[He's. A little surprised by her response? He expected her to press him for questions, but...it's something of a relief she doesn't. She might not be ready to have an entire conversation detailing
Heavensward to Endwalkerall she would have missed.]I...thank you, Minfilia. Truly, I would not stand here today without the aid of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and the Warrior of Light, nor would many others be able to do so. In that respect, I owe your order much and more.
[Even if they were put in danger because of his
whaling on WoL gachasummoning attempts, he cannot deny that their presence in the First was essential. Who knows if what remained of that little world would have lasted without everyone's help?]no subject
[ Thanking him for the warning about Ascian, that is. She has no idea he's got so much more they need to talk about.
...but he may be able to tell that she's still uneasy sharing too much, even private. Still, she has one more thing she feels she can discuss with him. ] As I showed earlier, Wild Rose - to give her full name - has the intelligence of a beast tribesman. [ Oh, how the term makes her a little grumpy, but she has to make sure the other understands. ] Is this normal?
no subject
From what I have observed, yes. But I have also observed a bit of the culture of this world, and it is no understatement that Pokemon are dearly beloved and integral to everyday life. The, erm...methods, though. The methods of befriending them are a bit...strange?
[He's trying to be kind, but he's. He is Aware of how kinda not cool it is to put a being in a capsule and keep it. It would be as if he toted around a Mord - er, a Kobold, perhaps, as a companion, but kept them in a container.]
While it seems in their nature to test their strength, I don't see much point in seeking out such challenges, and those with me seem fine enough to battle those who might cross our path with hostility. Likewise, I wouldn't...both of mine were given to me by people of this world, and I don't...I am not fond of the idea of capture. But if we were to meet a Pokemon who wanted to join us, and expressed as much, I would not deny them.
no subject
no subject
[Whenever he finds out about where Pokemon go once people leave, he'll feel a lot more at ease, probably. Knowing that no companion goes uncared for. But it's still a sobering thought.]
no subject
[ A pause. ]
Ah... I do not know if Krile spoke often of me. But before I took over the duty of ending the primal threat, I focused a little more on tribal welfare. But I had to prioritize...
But a kind world such as this must have people who seek those who've been abandoned.
