Karkat actually has. Several feelings about Rakka? Most of which culminate in "MUST PROTECT THE TINY ANGEL," but, mm, okay, let's break this down.
As you probably remember, Karkat's attitude toward Rakka changed dramatically once he drew the connection between her and Tavros personality-wise. First this just gave him a lot more patience for her, uh, Rakka-ness, and that grew into, well. Liking her for herself. :( The floof is adorable and must be protected.
HOWEVER, that sort of, well. Brings to mind Tavros again. See, the fact that he dramaaaaaaaatically failed Tavros/the rest of his team means that he, uh, is probably-definitely unconsciously trying to make up for that with Rakka by being a better, Idk, friend mainly. So trying to be nicer and all that, but then also there's the fact that Rakka isn't a troll and hasn't had to put up with the same rough bullshit that Tavros has, so she doesn't have as thick skin, so then he probably gets hyper-aware of any time he might be stepping on her feelings and asldfgsgdklj
So that can be a little frustrating. Rakka in general kind of frustrates him because, well, she's so damn naive and he is an ASSHOLE and there are a lot of snarky remarks he's been keeping to himself. They're probably going to burst out at some point. Rakka just, well, she's too damn nice and like, kind of doormat too nice, and she's all "umm" and "uhh" and that really kind of pisses him off and reminds him of Tavros, and that part of Tavros pissed him off then too and. Well.
Yeah. HE LIKES HER AND HAS FEELINGS BUT SHE ALSO ANNOYS HIM A LITTLE BUT HE HAS TOO MANY FEELINGS TO ACTUALLY SHOW IT and yeah.

He probably would have been inclined to like her anyway, but the fact that Penny is one of if not the (?) first people (person?) Dave met and befriended when he first arrived here iiiissss, okay, so that counts for a lot. Even before the current quadrant clusterfuck, Dave was, you know, his best friend, and Karkat can only imagine how fucking lost the idiot would have been without someone his own age to relate to and/or ramble at incessantly. THAT ALONE pretty much guarantees that Penny now has x2 knights watching her back.
HOWEVER, Penny is. Well. Likable. Karkat still at this point doesn't entirely Get Her, but she definitely earned his respect after coming to kick his ass after he blew up at Ruby AND surprised him with how painfully relatable their situations are re: the whole dying thing + wishing they could protect others after the fact. She's friendly, tough, knows how bad shit can get, looks after her friends, and has friends in common with him; all that shit combined totally surpasses Karkat's minimum requirements for This Person Is on My Team Now and I Shall Be a Totally Ineffectual but Still Dedicated Leader at Them Whether They Like It or Not.
AND YEAH. HER BEING SAD MAKES HIM SAD??? SHE IS FRIEND, MUST PROTECT although more emotionally than physically because holy shit she could kick his ass six ways to Sunday. Still don't know her too well, but hopefully that will change. :(

Jane would probably be a candidate for a flushcrush if Karkat weren't already involved with people. No, seriously. She's goofy and sweet and he's sort of scared of her (don't ask me why this counts in her favor), and she seems to have a lack of tolerance for bullshit that reminds him of Jade and, okay, that's one of the reasons why he really likes Jade (to put it mildly) plus something he appreciates in people in general. Talking to Jane is surprisingly easy as long as they aren't, you know, discussing the forbidden 80%.
That being said, there's such a huge complicated mass of shit that he really ought to talk about with Jane given that she sort of killed him once. OR OKAY, maybe he doesn't need to talk to Jane about it, but it's something weighing in the back of his mind when they talk along with a bunch of other shit from the Game Over timeline. Karkat never got to know the real Jane before coming to pokéland, and that's fine because he apparently has some ridiculous capacity for forgiving people things he doesn't see them as being wholly responsible for (see also Gamzee killing Nepeta and Equius and yet Karkat became his moirail???) BUT IT'S. HE'S REALLY DREADING IT COMING UP. A LOT.
So, yeah, Jane's a good friend and has potential to be a greater friend, but he doesn't know how the fuck to talk to her about anything serious. He would also like her to prank John more, please.
They also probably have a ton of offscreen conversations wherein they totally do just spam each other with adorable poképictures.

First, yeah, John DEFINITELY annoys Karkat a lot, but this isn't a bad thing! John's probably one of the few people who can withstand the full force of Katkat's rage without it negatively affecting him, and that... is something Karkat actually really appreciates? Because he's a fucking weirdo who likes being able to blow off steam with a good rant or twenty, and John most definitely provides him with opportunities to do that. Basically, this.
I do think, however, that there's a ball of resentment lingering around somewhere because, well, timelines, but it goes hand in hand with guilt over the whole fuckshow because John had to see all of the aftermath of Game Over and Karkat doesn't wish that on anyone. It also probably bothers him that John has probably(?) been able to adjust to seeing him as a human with comparable ease because he hadn't had much exposure to him as a troll. I mean, this is speculation on my part, but John lets so much shit roll right off of him that it'd sort of make sense that more issues Karkat think should be issues simply aren't to Mr. Flighty McBucktooth.
Karkat wouldn't trade John being here for anything because palhonchos 4 lyfe and all, but there's definitely unresolved shit beneath the surface that might come out at an unpleasant moment in the future.

Karkat is so fucking pale for this moron, you have no idea. Actually, you probably do, but THE POINT IS that all of Dave's insecurities + general emotional vulnerability + goddamn knightliness is like. Practically engineered to invoke every sort of "shoosh shoosh let me take care of you you pathetic creature" instinct Karkat has and it's honestly sort of unfair. EXCEPT THAT IT ISN'T because Dave is equally as effective at getting Karkat to calm his damn rumblespheres and melt him into a puddle of goo, so basically yeah there all sorts of diamonds up in this bitch. Karkat wants nothing more for Dave than for him to be happy, healthy, and whole. YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS.
It's difficult to say more on the subject without repeating myself, but uhhh, let's see. Dave being around and being Dave is probably the reason why Karkat hasn't completely lost it after [S] Game Over. Actually, no, the other hamsteaks have helped a lot on that front too, but as yoooouuuu already know, shit was not good while Karkat was settling in with the whole species thing and lingering issues he had about whether he'd be friends with John and Jade again. That and just. Dave has been there for long enough to serve as an anchor of sorts, and I'd be lying if I said that isn't still in play at the moment. Out of everyone, Karkat feels like Dave probably understands how hard all this shit is the best just because of having seen him for three years as a troll + learning a shitton about troll culture whether he liked it or not + generally getting to know him better than everyone else. And that's. Important. Karkat would flip every table if Dave suddenly vanished and then probably collapse in a sobbing heap.
ON THE FLUSHED SIDE OF THINGS, that's, well, still a work in progress but one I'd like to think they've made some advances on since sorta ahhhfdjshhjahahahhaah squaring things with Jade god kill me what is that pun. the fact that both Dave and Jade don't see an issue with smushing those two quadrants together has really helped Karkat to accept it, but he's, ehhh, blargh, how to say this? He's accepted it for himself but sort of has this fucked up mentality of "well I'm already a freak of nature so I guess it makes sense that my quadrants totally defy the actual system too hahaha I'll never be normal ever and I'm an affront to all trollkind." Which kind of ties back to the species thing because if he's human in this place then it's like... he sort of feels like he's losing himself? Or just growing further and further from Alternia and trollhood in general.
THIS GOT HEAVY um honestly just stuff, the lines between moirallegiance and matespritship are sort of immaterial where these two are concerned because yes he would like to smooch Dave and/or be allowed to watch while Dave and Jade smooch and okay suddenly voyeur time what is this. IT'S KARKAT OKAY oh and he wants to do stupid romantic shit with/for both of them and basically it's sort of disgusting what kind of saccharine bullshit is in their immediate future, kill me please.
