Yeah, they can be pets. Mine are. Pokemon love to battle each other and some people like indulging them and getting prizes for that called Gym Badges. I don't really see the appeal myself! But since the Pokemon like it, I can respect it.

Birds are nice. I never had any pets until I came here.
