CR meme - Fall edition!

CR MEME!

It's time for our fall CR meme. Which will also include the fourth wall happening in November, so feel free to use this CR meme as a plotting post for that event too.

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Like before, this CR meme will also include a template specifically geared towards Rocket CR. Please fill it in to let our Rocket members know how you feel about getting your characters involved in some crime.

Name Min-Gi Park; outofsynth
Canon: Infinity Train
Cliffnotes: Min is currently exploring Kanto and getting to grips with the poké world in general. He is very green and also from the 80s, so there's a lot that's new to him! He's doing fairly well thanks to lots of supportive oldbies (thank you!) and previous experiences with other dimensions, but there's plenty he's still getting to grips with. He's that guy who gets all excited about PokéGear maps, but still doesn't trust them enough not to navigate using a paper map.

Looking for: It would be great for him to meet other musically inclined folks! He's in a band called Chicken Choice Judy back home, but in the (temporary) absence of his band mate it would be cool to bond with other people, or maybe play sometime. He's currently only in possession of his stylophone since it's conveniently pocket sized, but also plays synth/keyboard.

It would also be great for him to get to know his fellow newbies!

OKAY HERE'S A THOUGHT. Min thinks Boober's a pretty cool kid and would probably not intentionally target him, but if they're in the right part of Kanto to encounter each other then maybe there could be some kind of ambush scenario?

I don't think he'd go through with trying to rob him once he realised who it was, but it still could be a fun opportunity for Boober to stand up for himself!

Cliffnotes: Tragic backstory is an understatement when it comes to Sion, but if you want to you can read a monster of a summary here and be horrified. Beyond that, he's been in Johto over a decade and has been a gym leader for a number of years now, so he's mellowed a bit. Still a big ball of issues, though, it just hides under that friendly, all-loving exterior.
Looking for: MANY THINGS but most especially people down for first being good friends and then poking/calling out his issues. Because boy does he still have issues.

Cliffnotes: Shy kid sired by a fay who has huge hangups about his appearance. And being social in general. Has been improving on this little by little during his time in Johto, and is currently traveling/staying with Sandalphon!
Looking for: MORE FRIENDS. Shrike is still pretty shy but has been learning to be social, more people for him to hang out with/talk to would be great, since you can still count the people he's come to really trust so far on one hand...

Canon: Suikoden III
Cliffnotes: Somewhat asocial old mercenary who thinks immortality's a curse and who's so deadpan good luck telling when he's actually joking. He has a lot of secrets and some very old traumas/emotional wounds he still hasn't gotten over, but if you need some hired muscle he's your man. He's doing the whole getting badges thing in Johto for lack of anything better to do/it's a good way to kill time. Because he's still kind of in the mindset of he just has to stick it out here for however long and then he'll be back with his friends at home, right?
Looking for: Things!! Really more people who will pester him or refuse to leave him alone are always great. People interested in hiring an experienced mercenary for.... things, are also more than welcome. Geddoe can be tricky to deal with sometimes because he doesn't emote much, regardless of how he's feeling, but if you do get through to him he's incredibly devoted to his friends.

✓ Anything else? Note that both Sion and Geddoe are fairly savvy and Sion in particular has very deep-seated but very high functioning paranoia, so neither are likely to be remotely easy targets. Shrike would be but do you REALLY want to do that to the kid?? Both Sion and Geddoe will also actually hit/punch/stab you rather than just relying on pokemon to battle!

Unfortunately none of mine are in her immediate area to intervene if she gets in trouble though... although if she ends up making a frantic network post Sion's the type to try to help anyway, haha.

So on the one hand, ICly Sion still absolutely refuses to let himself entertain the notion of being in a romantic relationship with anyone. Despite the fact that he's always really wanted to.

On the other hand, I like making him deal with things that make him uncomfortable and, y'know, maybe it would be good for him to get over himself.

Which is to say, if that's a thing that you'd be interested in and seems plausible I'd be down for it! I just can make no promises as to just where things would go, considering that it's Sion and his issues we're dealing with, here... XD

There will definitely be some panic about a dracovolt. I haven't decided yet if the danger will be real or not, it depends on my whims at the time, but there's comedy value there, yeah?

Freaking out over bizarre pokemon is always a classic yes :D

Sion lives in Ecruteak but like. thanks to warp pads and flying types he can be pretty much anywhere in Johto within half a day, so. Freak out and/or look like you're in sufficient trouble and he might just come anyway! XD

I am fairly curious about the Silver Horn, as it seems like a soft landing pad for Naeva to figure out what she wants to do, but where is it located? It might...take her a bit to get there.

Aside from that, Naeva has Powerful Mom Vibes if you want him to get unceremoniously adopted.

ALSO it occurred to me I should probably explain what was up with Sion in his thread with her--I'll skip over the full long story but basically his mother died when he was young, he has a lot of issues related to her death, and Naeva very unexpectedly made him think of her! But since Sion's a pro at hiding his feelings he kept that under wraps other than that brief moment of surprise.

Nah, he has no kids which is actually also related to his issues because he WANTED to before he found out just how messed up his world really was but huge, HUGE mom issues. Feel free to poke at them, naturally!

Cliffnotes: Vierna grew up in a subterranean spider-themed murder cult and therefore is still getting used to things like "seasons" and "unironic friendship." She's brusque and a little overly formal and prone to saying deeply troubling things without realizing that they're deeply troubling, but she generally means well and being out of the pressure cooker that is Lolthcult for the past six months or so has been good for her. Maybe one of these days she'll get around to actually starting her gym challenge; for most of her time in game (adventures in Hisui notwithstanding) she's been staying in the Goldenrod area, working part time and supplementing her income by reselling things her Linoone finds.
Looking for: More people to drag her out of her shell, mostly! She's got a deeply weird little pseudofamilial cluster with her canonmates and an increasingly ridiculous will-they-or-won't they with Cordy, but she could use more friends, especially other young adults (she's in her 140s, which is roughly equivalent to early 20s for an elf).
