It's time for our fall CR meme. Which will also include the fourth wall happening in November, so feel free to use this CR meme as a plotting post for that event too.

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Cliffnotes: Boober loves laundry and cooking, and is very prone to worrying. He's got some real "disapproving mom friend" energy! In VR, he's still struggling with being here, but he is excited to learn more about how the things his interests are handled in this world. He's traveling with Mando and Riz, in Kanto currently but there are plans for a holiday season spent in Goldenrod, iirc! Also, while he's quite anxious, he can also be quite sassy (or at times just plain passive-aggressive) and that's been slowly coming out as he starts to accept the current situation. Which is a lot of fun tbh

Looking for: Definitely more friends, especially those who are brave and outgoing, and wouldn't be afraid to encourage the same in Boober. Always up for him interacting with other teens, too. I'd also really like him to find more mentor-type figures, perhaps some experienced Pokemon breeders who can help him get a better handle on understanding his Pokemon? Oh, and I'd love for him to cook for more people.

I'm also excited by the idea of some kind of Team Rocket run-ins, honestly! Maybe standing up from himself would give him reason to be a bit bolder, but I'm equally okay playing out a situation where it does not go well and leaves him freaked out.

OKAY HERE'S A THOUGHT. Min thinks Boober's a pretty cool kid and would probably not intentionally target him, but if they're in the right part of Kanto to encounter each other then maybe there could be some kind of ambush scenario?

I don't think he'd go through with trying to rob him once he realised who it was, but it still could be a fun opportunity for Boober to stand up for himself!

He is genuinely kind and loyal unless you dare to tick him off. Also he’s a nosy little sneak. He is coming right after repairing his wand at the end of Deathly Hallows (no 19 Years Later), so he is still shaken from the battle aftermath.

Now on his third month, Harry is hoping to explore Jotho before he can start the Gym Battles. Many of his team will evolve before the Gyms, especially with Godric with the Fire Stone he got in Hisui and possibly Violet the Eevee at daytime. Very much looking forward to see a lot of Pokémon and raise a really great team too. There is a good chance that he will move into the Femblemtrioka commune thanks to Hermione’s inter-, I mean, recommendation. You just can’t leave him alone for five minutes without jumping head first into danger even if you take him out of Hogwarts.

Looking for: Give him Friends, Parent figures, Frenemies! People who would try to stop him from being a reckless idiot. I'm cool with romance as long as it doesn't involve huge age gaps, he hasn’t moved on from his break up with Ginny at the moment. He will also defend kids and teens like a big brother. Also he needs a travel party to join and help him because he can’t just do things on his own, although he does have experience in camping thanks to that ‘treasure destroying quest’ of his own back at home.

He'll be desperately making coin (thanks Meowth) trying to load a few more TMs on.
Looking for: He might be asking other newer trainers about their experiences on the road soon! He's always looking to talk strategy, and though he's a bit gruff, he's especially soft around children. His birthday is on the 25th, but he'll probably be having a low-key moment with his traveling companions.

Right now she and her boyfriend Keith are traveling Johto on the gym circuit, but the cast also has a house on Four Island in Sevii that they visit decently frequently.
Looking for: Always looking for new friends for Allura, especially peers (girl needs more people her age to hang out and relax with). She’s very intelligent and interested in learning about VR!Earth’s and otherworlders’ cultures, but also a skilled warrior and wouldn’t mind a sparring partner. In VR she’s interested in field journals, shell collections, and makeovers including manicures, but you can never have too many hobbies. (Also, it's her one-year anniversary in the game this month, PLEASE point out that she hasn't had a birthday yet and spoil her.) She’s spoken for, so no shipping please. Kazuki’s outward most persona is that of a golden retriever. He’s a sweet, bumbling, clumsy puppy that just wants to give you his paw and get the Milkbone in your pocket. He’s genuinely kind and friendly to everyone, and thus, everyone seems to know his name.

And that really is him. He’s not putting on a front. He loves music (he plays the trumpet professionally, and was studying to become a music teacher). He believes the best in people. He loves to have fun, and having fun with his friends even more. All he wants is everyone around him to feel good and be happy.

However, he’s also fairly self-aware. He knows he’s too much sometimes. He knows that he can be annoying, and he’s not really the smartest, and that he’s “anzen-pai,” the safe senpai, completely nonthreatening. He actually calls himself that.

It's often translated from Japanese as "virgin senpai." Now you know where my Plurk handle comes from.

So he also carries a quiet sort of sadness in him as well, and suffers from imposter syndrome, as he’s not as musically talented as his peers. His lack of self-confidence runs deep. He'll take the shirt off his back to keep someone else warm, but hesitates to make his own needs known.

He's been in VR for coming on 5 years. In that time, he's developed the Silver Horn, an inn for people and a rehabilitation center for wild Pokemon. His doors are open 24/7 to anyone that needs help, or a soft place to land. If a character wants to work there, or help out in general, there's a sign-up on the provided page!

Looking for: Kazuki is definitely my most open character. Because of his kind heart, he's likely to engage with nearly anybody at least once. The Silver Horn also acts as a great icebreaker if you want your character to get to know him, especially if they're new, because newbies stay for free. There's very little that is out of his character when it comes to positive interaction. He's also a pretty easy target for negative CR, but he's not the type to engage in bad behavior. If you're looking for a new enemy, this is not your guy.

I basically just want him to be friends with everyone, because that's what he's good at. I'm also open to shipping and/or relationship attempts from either gender. While he's from a datesim game, he's never been in a relationship. And he's 23 now, lol.

I also want to do more music related stuff with him in the near future. SERIOUSLY. I need to get on this lol,

His time in the pokémon world has really helped him grow as a person but he's still rather closed off on his past and personal life, partially because he's not sure what he can share and the fact that he sees this place as a second chance at a different life.

Marik's been traveling with Kaiba and Atem. Slowly taking on the gyms. Making money with his Persian. His Yamask is his baby and he would kill for him. He's also not looking forward to the coming months. Boy's lived in a desert all of his life.

Cliffnotes: Vinegar Doppio is a somewhat nice, somewhat meek and somewhat dim young man who happens to be in Team Rocket. He was also the right-hand man of a powerful mafia boss back in Italy. Oh, and he shares a body with that very same powerful mafia boss, whose name is Diavolo. It's sort of an anime DID thing but also literally two souls in one body. You know how it goes.

Thanks to his professional experience, Doppio seeks to climb Team Rocket's ranks, but he puts up an upstanding front as a traveling trainer. In addition, he's a member of the Legendary Seekers (though he's actually just spying for Team Rocket shhhh). He enjoyed a few moments of fame as the protector of Phione's egg last year, but has recently been frustrated by a certain inability to achieve success in more competitive Pokémon battles.

Looking for: I would love any and all CR, he needs more of it! Friends to make (note: he is not used to having friends), people to catch on to the fact that he's more than meets the eye... He doesn't have a traveling group, and frankly he's not interested in one, but that means he's a bit isolated from time to time!

Dees recently gave me the idea to use his position in the Legendary Seekers to his advantage somehow, and that's still sort of percolating in my mind...

Heather is a scrappy teenage cult-escapee who also maybe is a reincarnated god??? ... in canon. In VR, she's been around for ~10 years and has matured into an equally scrappy but far more well-adjusted twentysomething. Over the course of her time in Johto and Kanto, she went from being an irreverent punk to a still-irreverent-but-also-dedicated trainer, eventually fighting her way to the top of the Indigo League and becoming one of the small-but-growing number of non-native Pokemon Champions. Given the amount of time she's spent in this world, she's proud to consider it home and rarely talks about the world she's from (you must be at least Level 5 to unlock her secret tragic backstory) unless it's in the form of making obnoxious pop culture references that only she finds funny.

Currently her top priority is working on getting her official Aurora League Gym (which she's sharing with her partner, Envy Animevillain) built and open-- which has taken her so long it's practically a pop culture meme at this point. SOMEDAY... SOMEDAY HER GYM WILL BE OPEN AND THEN YOU'LL ALL SEE.........

As a result of this, she's become a bit of a hermit and is a little more socially-starved than normal. While she's been spending the vast majority of her time doing Gym Building Stuff (tm), she tries to get away when possible. Her recent stint in the Battle Tournament pushed her back into the public eye a little bit, for better or worse.

Looking for:

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! Found family is very important to Heather, as is making good on however much time the people she cares about get in this world. Even though she maintains a convincingly-carefree persona, she's still haunted by a past full of loss and regret. She has a particular soft spot for DADS (she was raised by a single adoptive father and therefore being a single adoptive father can usually land you on her good side) and TROUBLED KIDS (she was also a troubled kid and is now a troubled adult who FEELS like a troubled kid). She makes a good tough big sis who noogies you but also beats up whoever messes with you, and a good obnoxious little sis who texts you RARE PHOTO OF YOU IN THE WILD accompanied by a picture of some ugly off-color plush she saw at the store.

Negative CR is also welcome-- even though Heather is significantly less prickly than she was as a teen, she's still a hothead at heart and her reputation for being a delinquent/troublemaker is NOT unearned.

STUFF HEATHER AND YOUR CHARACTER COULD BOND OVER: Horses (VR has turned Heather into a certified Horse Girl (tm)), parkour, hiking, fond reminiscing about extremely petty crimes long past, being from a horror canon, obsessive watching of Furycutter Kitchen (that show where Magnalton Brown traumatizes chefs by making them do all their cooking on the back of a free-roaming Torkoal or replacing all their MooMoo Milk with cream of mushroom or something).

She also participated in the aforementioned Battle Tournament, so maybe your character watched her matches (one win, one loss), or she watched yours!

Looking for: Right now I think I'd very much like for people to have to get her out of trouble, as she's fairly used to being indestructible. She avoided the swarm of angry pubby, but I think she'll be caught outside during the fossil pokemon swarm, if anyone wants to use that angle.

Other than that, connecting with other breeders to ask questions about how she should handle breeding pokemon would be rad. Trainers looking to score eggs off a breeder who doesn't quite know how to charge for things are also welcome.

Cliffnotes: Min is currently exploring Kanto and getting to grips with the poké world in general. He is very green and also from the 80s, so there's a lot that's new to him! He's doing fairly well thanks to lots of supportive oldbies (thank you!) and previous experiences with other dimensions, but there's plenty he's still getting to grips with. He's that guy who gets all excited about PokéGear maps, but still doesn't trust them enough not to navigate using a paper map.

Looking for: It would be great for him to meet other musically inclined folks! He's in a band called Chicken Choice Judy back home, but in the (temporary) absence of his band mate it would be cool to bond with other people, or maybe play sometime. He's currently only in possession of his stylophone since it's conveniently pocket sized, but also plays synth/keyboard.

It would also be great for him to get to know his fellow newbies!

Cliffnotes: Somewhat asocial old mercenary who thinks immortality's a curse and who's so deadpan good luck telling when he's actually joking. He has a lot of secrets and some very old traumas/emotional wounds he still hasn't gotten over, but if you need some hired muscle he's your man. He's doing the whole getting badges thing in Johto for lack of anything better to do/it's a good way to kill time. Because he's still kind of in the mindset of he just has to stick it out here for however long and then he'll be back with his friends at home, right?
Looking for: Things!! Really more people who will pester him or refuse to leave him alone are always great. People interested in hiring an experienced mercenary for.... things, are also more than welcome. Geddoe can be tricky to deal with sometimes because he doesn't emote much, regardless of how he's feeling, but if you do get through to him he's incredibly devoted to his friends.

She's brusque and a little overly formal and prone to saying deeply troubling things without realizing that they're deeply troubling, but she generally means well and being out of the pressure cooker that is Lolthcult for the past six months or so has been good for her. Maybe one of these days she'll get around to actually starting her gym challenge; for most of her time in game (adventures in Hisui notwithstanding) she's been staying in the Goldenrod area, working part time and supplementing her income by reselling things her Linoone finds.
Looking for: More people to drag her out of her shell, mostly! She's got a deeply weird little pseudofamilial cluster with her canonmates and an increasingly ridiculous will-they-or-won't they with Cordy, but she could use more friends, especially other young adults (she's in her 140s, which is roughly equivalent to early 20s for an elf).

Cliffnotes: Gentle-hearted woman who has recently learned something very horrific about her home world, and also now knows she has no future there. Minfilia is having anger and desires for vengance consume her in the background, but tries to hide it. Coming in Top 8 in the Otherworlder Tournament, she hopes to continue her gym challenge and finish up the Johto gyms by the end of the year. She's doing it to get more respect - because she wants to set up some form of research group into the mysteries of this land, even if she hasn't discussed it with people often.

She... just needs to feel like she has a place, since she is terrified of her future. She doesn't want to become the avatar of a god and never see home again okay. (Also if she's respected maybe people will listen to her about how dangerous Emet-Selch is???)
Looking for: During November - actually beginning around now - Minfilia wants to lead a group to the Safari Zone. The group is mostly open, the people who can't join OOCly know aha. She, well, needs to get her mind off of Things. She'll allow her Pokemon to help bring people to Ecruteak and Olivine, where she'll be stopping for this month.

Also, likely close to the end of November, there's gonna be a blow up due to said anger and bitterness, just letting y'all know. (Also got some silly fourth wall plans. Not as silly as what resulted in her Alolan Persians' personality, but still.)

Cliffnotes: Radley is generally friendly and kindhearted, but he's very capable of snarking at ridiculous behavior and comments. If you're in trouble, however, he'll help you regardless of what he thinks of you. He delights in making friends with both people and Pokemon and is very gentle with Pokemon unless they're attacking him or his loved ones. He's very loyal and protective, and as the cliche goes, you have a friend for life if he likes you (and he probably will; he likes most people). He loves money and is always trying to think of new plans to make it. He breeds Eevees and adores the little darlings. If you visit his restaurant in Goldenrod City, the Eevees are everywhere like in a cat cafe.
Looking for: Radley would love help with grooming his Pokemon. It takes a long time to brush so many Eevees every day. If anyone is passing through or staying in Goldenrod, he will pay for help. Naturally, whoever applies must love Eevees, or at least, not be opposed to them.

He would also be happy with people applying for jobs in the restaurant, cooking or providing entertainment.

He still wants to have get-togethers for all the YGO characters and anyone else interested in learning Duel Monsters. He's not sure when would be a good time to try this for the first time. He would appreciate input from the other YGO characters on when would be good for them.

Radley has a phobia of being electrocuted. This could lead to interesting interactions with someone who has Electric Pokemon. I'm not really looking for him to get over this phobia altogether, as it's pretty deep-rooted in something that happens to him in canon, but him being able to relax a little more around Electric Pokemon would be fun to play out.

Also trying to figure out how to get him to a Galarian Ponyta. I don't think he would deliberately seek one out, but one could seek him out if he could get to one. I think they're only in the Safari Zone? If anyone would like to visit the Safari Zone, Radley would come along if invited.

Cliffnotes: Genius but lazy mage who would find a way to break the laws of physics and sleep 25 hours a day if anyone would ever let him. (No one ever lets him.) Despite a severely traumatic backstory, he's slowly - very slowly - learning how to actually be motivated and a little bit responsible even, though opening up to people and reaching out is still hard for him. He's been in Johto for over a decade, is co-leader of the Collegiate Gym, and is very tired of new regions popping up without any acknowledgement from the locals.

In terms of near-future plans, I intend to write a post this coming weekend where he will be in Azalea visiting a certain nice old couple, because it's been almost ten years since the Yamask incident if you can believe it. So if anyone wants to meet up with him there...

Canon: Thermae Novae Romae.

Cliffnotes: Lucius Modestus is earnest to a fault and approaches every situation he finds himself in with the utmost sincerity. Though his tendency towards formal behavior and his upright personality can be quite funny in juxtaposition with mundane situations it more often than not is more a sign of the way he was raised and the life he's led rather than something outright humorous. Differences between the Rome he hails from and the modern world can lead to some pretty heavy cases of culture clash, but Lucius’s personality allows him to act naturally in situations that would otherwise be extremely awkward or uncomfortable. He’s a sympathetic character, and his intelligence and curiosity allow him to see and experience more than would be possible if he were a more cynical or self-conscious person.

Looking for: Lucius has spent his life as a through-and-through worker bee, only finally stopping to focus on himself and his wife after years of nonstop grinding. Right when he was able to take time to build a family is when he was snatched away to the world of Pokémon though, so it's going to be hard for him not to sink into old habits and become a workaholic once more. As one of the only older people in the world he could really use a friend with similar interest to him, so anyone with predilections towards architecture or a passion for bathing culture would be a godsend.

If he's running in circles of younger folks, having people who are interested in what his decades of work have taught him would be really nice for him as it would be a way for him to share what he's passionate about without having to immerse himself directly. If he's able to interact with people closer to his age relaxing activities would be fantastic, as he's got a lot of mileage for a guy his age. Regardless of what friends he makes, though, he's not looking to butt heads with people. Clashes with Team Rocket are one thing, as Lucius doesn't back down from those he sees as evildoers, but he doesn't need to be engaging in social warfare as well.
