It's time for our fall CR meme. Which will also include the fourth wall happening in November, so feel free to use this CR meme as a plotting post for that event too.

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Cliffnotes: Boober loves laundry and cooking, and is very prone to worrying. He's got some real "disapproving mom friend" energy! In VR, he's still struggling with being here, but he is excited to learn more about how the things his interests are handled in this world. He's traveling with Mando and Riz, in Kanto currently but there are plans for a holiday season spent in Goldenrod, iirc! Also, while he's quite anxious, he can also be quite sassy (or at times just plain passive-aggressive) and that's been slowly coming out as he starts to accept the current situation. Which is a lot of fun tbh

Looking for: Definitely more friends, especially those who are brave and outgoing, and wouldn't be afraid to encourage the same in Boober. Always up for him interacting with other teens, too. I'd also really like him to find more mentor-type figures, perhaps some experienced Pokemon breeders who can help him get a better handle on understanding his Pokemon? Oh, and I'd love for him to cook for more people.

I'm also excited by the idea of some kind of Team Rocket run-ins, honestly! Maybe standing up from himself would give him reason to be a bit bolder, but I'm equally okay playing out a situation where it does not go well and leaves him freaked out.

Cliffnotes: Harry is an hapless angsty young man with magic, PTSD & depression, and bad luck, is a walking trouble magnet, has the people saving thing and chronic hero syndrome. He is genuinely kind and loyal unless you dare to tick him off. Also he’s a nosy little sneak. He is coming right after repairing his wand at the end of Deathly Hallows (no 19 Years Later), so he is still shaken from the battle aftermath.

Now on his third month, Harry is hoping to explore Jotho before he can start the Gym Battles. Many of his team will evolve before the Gyms, especially with Godric with the Fire Stone he got in Hisui and possibly Violet the Eevee at daytime. Very much looking forward to see a lot of Pokémon and raise a really great team too. There is a good chance that he will move into the Femblemtrioka commune thanks to Hermione’s inter-, I mean, recommendation. You just can’t leave him alone for five minutes without jumping head first into danger even if you take him out of Hogwarts.

Looking for: Give him Friends, Parent figures, Frenemies! People who would try to stop him from being a reckless idiot. I'm cool with romance as long as it doesn't involve huge age gaps, he hasn’t moved on from his break up with Ginny at the moment. He will also defend kids and teens like a big brother. Also he needs a travel party to join and help him because he can’t just do things on his own, although he does have experience in camping thanks to that ‘treasure destroying quest’ of his own back at home.

He'll be desperately making coin (thanks Meowth) trying to load a few more TMs on.

His birthday is on the 25th, but he'll probably be having a low-key moment with his traveling companions.

Romance, however, is off the table since he's got Corrin in that regard. Because of Corrin, Sandy's a lot more approachable, so please, use that to bully approach him. Just don't expect him to smile any time soon.

She and Mirabel are finishing up a circuit around Johto, and are looking to find a place to live before taking on the gyms.
Looking for: Always open to more friends! Just more people she can connect with, and can show her new things and to really broaden her horizons. It might be fun to have people she could train with, both Pokemon and themselves, and maybe some older adult figures who can help her just be the young adult that she is. Right now she and her boyfriend Keith are traveling Johto on the gym circuit, but the cast also has a house on Four Island in Sevii that they visit decently frequently.
Looking for: Always looking for new friends for Allura, especially peers (girl needs more people her age to hang out and relax with). She’s very intelligent and interested in learning about VR!Earth’s and otherworlders’ cultures, but also a skilled warrior and wouldn’t mind a sparring partner. In VR she’s interested in field journals, shell collections, and makeovers including manicures, but you can never have too many hobbies. (Also, it's her one-year anniversary in the game this month, PLEASE point out that she hasn't had a birthday yet and spoil her.) She’s spoken for, so no shipping please. Not interested in negative CR for negative CR’s sake, but a bit of friction might be okay.

Looking for: Rock is pretty new!! He doesn't know how to raise pokemon, let alone battle with them! To make matters worse, he has a Buneary who sure loves to fight. She's always punching Rock!! At least Rock knows how to defend himself compared to others. He's also trying to figure out where he could at least get a motorcycle here... though his hopes are getting dashed every single moment he's in Johto.

Kazuki’s outward most persona is that of a golden retriever. He’s a sweet, bumbling, clumsy puppy that just wants to give you his paw and get the Milkbone in your pocket. He’s genuinely kind and friendly to everyone, and thus, everyone seems to know his name.

And that really is him. He’s not putting on a front. He loves music (he plays the trumpet professionally, and was studying to become a music teacher). He believes the best in people. He loves to have fun, and having fun with his friends even more. All he wants is everyone around him to feel good and be happy.

However, he’s also fairly self-aware. He knows he’s too much sometimes. He knows that he can be annoying, and he’s not really the smartest, and that he’s “anzen-pai,” the safe senpai, completely nonthreatening. He actually calls himself that.

It's often translated from Japanese as "virgin senpai." Now you know where my Plurk handle comes from.

So he also carries a quiet sort of sadness in him as well, and suffers from imposter syndrome, as he’s not as musically talented as his peers. His lack of self-confidence runs deep. He'll take the shirt off his back to keep someone else warm, but hesitates to make his own needs known.

He's been in VR for coming on 5 years. In that time, he's developed the Silver Horn, an inn for people and a rehabilitation center for wild Pokemon. His doors are open 24/7 to anyone that needs help, or a soft place to land. If a character wants to work there, or help out in general, there's a sign-up on the provided page!

Looking for: Kazuki is definitely my most open character. Because of his kind heart, he's likely to engage with nearly anybody at least once. The Silver Horn also acts as a great icebreaker if you want your character to get to know him, especially if they're new, because newbies stay for free. There's very little that is out of his character when it comes to positive interaction. He's also a pretty easy target for negative CR, but he's not the type to engage in bad behavior. If you're looking for a new enemy, this is not your guy.

I basically just want him to be friends with everyone, because that's what he's good at. I'm also open to shipping and/or relationship attempts from either gender. While he's from a datesim game, he's never been in a relationship. And he's 23 now, lol.

Cliffnotes: I play Jean post-timeskip, right before the raid on Libero (for those that are in the know). He's 20 now in VR. He's been here for nearly 3 years.

Jean, on the outside, is a very confrontational, prickly person. He's kind of into himself in a looks way. Definitely not into himself in other ways. He kind of thinks he's a horrible person, but that's a badly kept secret.

At first, he tends to interact with people in an antagonistic kind of way, either providing bait or taking it, and seeing what comes from that. It's pretty easy for him to get into a frenemy relationship with basically anyone who will indulge him. But that's just his surface level.

Once someone is able to break through his tough outer layer, they'll find that he's actually quite a loyal, steadfast person. He's very much ride-or-die with the people that make into his inner circle. Despite being an incurable asshole, he has a fairly strong moral compass, and has a tendency to fall into philosophical arguments due to the horrible nature of his world and the life he's led as a soldier.

He honestly should have completed his gym challenge a year ago, I've just sucked at the maintained required since I started working full time lol. He really enjoys Pokemon battles, and high speed trick flying on his Mega Pidgeot.

I SERIOUSLY NEED to finish up his badge requests and get him to challenge the Elite Four, ESPECIALLY after how well he did in the Otherworlder Tournament. I'll just use the excuse that he got a girlfriend halfway through Johto, and that was distracting him for awhile, lol.

Cliffnotes: Like most of the YGO kids, he's an emotionally stunted teen who's gone through a lot of traumatic stuff. His time in the pokémon world has really helped him grow as a person but he's still rather closed off on his past and personal life, partially because he's not sure what he can share and the fact that he sees this place as a second chance at a different life.

Marik's been traveling with Kaiba and Atem. Slowly taking on the gyms. Making money with his Persian. His Yamask is his baby and he would kill for him. He's also not looking forward to the coming months. Boy's lived in a desert all of his life.

Looking for: Everything and anything! Marik can use all types of CR. Positive, negative, whatever. People to encourage him to become a better person, people to bring out the petulant gremlin in him. I love exploring all aspects of his personality.

Canon: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Cliffnotes: Vinegar Doppio is a somewhat nice, somewhat meek and somewhat dim young man who happens to be in Team Rocket. He was also the right-hand man of a powerful mafia boss back in Italy. Oh, and he shares a body with that very same powerful mafia boss, whose name is Diavolo. It's sort of an anime DID thing but also literally two souls in one body. You know how it goes.

Thanks to his professional experience, Doppio seeks to climb Team Rocket's ranks, but he puts up an upstanding front as a traveling trainer. In addition, he's a member of the Legendary Seekers (though he's actually just spying for Team Rocket shhhh). He enjoyed a few moments of fame as the protector of Phione's egg last year, but has recently been frustrated by a certain inability to achieve success in more competitive Pokémon battles.

Looking for: I would love any and all CR, he needs more of it! Friends to make (note: he is not used to having friends), people to catch on to the fact that he's more than meets the eye... Heather is a scrappy teenage cult-escapee who also maybe is a reincarnated god??? ... in canon. In VR, she's been around for ~10 years and has matured into an equally scrappy but far more well-adjusted twentysomething. Over the course of her time in Johto and Kanto, she went from being an irreverent punk to a still-irreverent-but-also-dedicated trainer, eventually fighting her way to the top of the Indigo League and becoming one of the small-but-growing number of non-native Pokemon Champions. Given the amount of time she's spent in this world, she's proud to consider it home and rarely talks about the world she's from (you must be at least Level 5 to unlock her secret tragic backstory) unless it's in the form of making obnoxious pop culture references that only she finds funny.

Currently her top priority is working on getting her official Aurora League Gym (which she's sharing with her partner, Envy Animevillain) built and open-- which has taken her so long it's practically a pop culture meme at this point. SOMEDAY... SOMEDAY HER GYM WILL BE OPEN AND THEN YOU'LL ALL SEE.........

As a result of this, she's become a bit of a hermit and is a little more socially-starved than normal. While she's been spending the vast majority of her time doing Gym Building Stuff (tm), she tries to get away when possible. Her recent stint in the Battle Tournament pushed her back into the public eye a little bit, for better or worse.

Looking for:

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! Found family is very important to Heather, as is making good on however much time the people she cares about get in this world. Even though she maintains a convincingly-carefree persona, she's still haunted by a past full of loss and regret. She has a particular soft spot for DADS (she was raised by a single adoptive father and therefore being a single adoptive father can usually land you on her good side) and TROUBLED KIDS (she was also a troubled kid and is now a troubled adult who FEELS like a troubled kid). She makes a good tough big sis who noogies you but also beats up whoever messes with you, and a good obnoxious little sis who texts you RARE PHOTO OF YOU IN THE WILD accompanied by a picture of some ugly off-color plush she saw at the store.

Negative CR is also welcome-- even though Heather is significantly less prickly than she was as a teen, she's still a hothead at heart and her reputation for being a delinquent/troublemaker is NOT unearned.

STUFF HEATHER AND YOUR CHARACTER COULD BOND OVER: Horses (VR has turned Heather into a certified Horse Girl (tm)), parkour, hiking, fond reminiscing about extremely petty crimes long past, being from a horror canon, obsessive watching of Furycutter Kitchen (that show where Magnalton Brown traumatizes chefs by making them do all their cooking on the back of a free-roaming Torkoal or replacing all their MooMoo Milk with cream of mushroom or something).

She also participated in the aforementioned Battle Tournament, so maybe your character watched her matches (one win, one loss), or she watched yours!

Notes: Hello, I'm new here! I will be a liiiittle busy the next two weeks but still probably getting some tags out into the world.

Cliffnotes: Naeva just got here! She used to be not at all human or...alive, so she's very disoriented, and could definitely use some friends. She is currently working her way across Johto and I think will hit Violet City by the end of the month, but I am very down for shenanigans in her path.
Looking for: Right now I think I'd very much like for people to have to get her out of trouble, as she's fairly used to being indestructible. She avoided the swarm of angry pubby, but I think she'll be caught outside during the fossil pokemon swarm, if anyone wants to use that angle.

Other than that, connecting with other breeders to ask questions about how she should handle breeding pokemon would be rad. Trainers looking to score eggs off a breeder who doesn't quite know how to charge for things are also welcome.
