[Miguel is helpless to resist as Odie comes barreling towards him! He lets out a little sound as she scoops him up into the hug, hands hesitating for a moment before wrapping around her in kind. She’s real. She’s real. She’s real. He almost starts to cry right then and there, but fights it back. His voice is a little shaky when he speaks up, though:]

…Man, I’m so glad to see you.

( Truly, this is-- perhaps, the happiest Miguel would have seen her in some time. Beyond waking up in another world, the the trauma over the past several months and holding herself together so the coterie wouldn't worry had admittedly, started to get to her.

But knowing that she wasn't alone, holding Miguel in her arms, and sliding her fingers in his hair to remind herself that he is tangible and real. )

Oh thank goodness, you're alright!

( A beat. )

Not that this world seems all that dangerous, ( compared to tradcath vampires, a Pokemon adventure would be optimal, really. ) but we certainly must stick together.

( She isn't inclined to let go, not yet, noting his shakiness and waiting to see how he feels in a moment or two. )

Oh, you must tell me everything. What starter did you pick? What are your plans? Where do you think we should head from here?

( She is already planning an itinerary in her head Miguel, hELP. )

[It was nice. This sort of warmth of contact. He’d missed this. He is quiet for a moment, taking it all in before responding.]

As alright as I can be, being thrown into a video game world all of a sudden.

…That said, heh heh, I pored and pondered over it and ultimately picked the very BEST starter, befitting a Lord of Darkness!

[Miguel pulls away, just enough to reach to his side and grab hold of a poke ball. He releases the monster within - a little Zorua.]

Ra!

[He looks between the Zorua and Odie, apparently very proud of himself for his excellent choice. The Zorua looks rather proud of itself too.]

Uh. I guess I’m a trainer now - Kind of wild, really - so I guess I should, like, catch some pokemon and head to the gym? That’s how that works, right?

[diabatties]

( When Miguel unleashes his Pokemon, Odette's eyes light up in a dazzling gleam. She's not familiar with this Pokemon, but... it's so cute?? She cannot help but gawk at it for a moment... two.

And then, studiously, kneels on the ground to meet the Zorua at eye level, holding out her hand for it to sniff. )

Hello little one, my name is Odette.

( Hatenna hops down from the shelf she'd been perched on, to take a seat on Odie's shoulder, making a happy little chirp. )
