[The person crashing into him is enough to send John off his feet, his miltank lowing with concern as his skinny frame hits the ground below, the pokemon immediately moving to help her trainer. The aging man grumbles, face tightening, as he glares up at the young man that's knocked him flat.]

Just peachy.

[He brushes off Chai's assistance, instead letting his miltank help him to his feet, the pokemon snorting indignantly at the stranger.]

There's this really fun concept I think you should try, though. It's called watching where you're going.

[Chai blinks, then lets his arm hang at his side. He shakes his head, running his fingers through his hair. Looks like his music player dropped onto the ground, along with the tangle of wires that his earbuds have become.]

H-Hey, I said I was sorry--

[The Chatot flutters to Chai's shoulder, and the two of them tilt their head to the side in tandem.]

Is...that a cow?

[His brow furrows with consternation, and the short form of John Gaius puffs up like his life depends on the display.]

She is not a cow. She's a Miltank. I would know. I'm deeply familiar with cows.

[That's... A concerning sentence. Probably?

But he bends, picking up the music player. And instead of handing it back, John immediately begins scrolling through the music.]

At least your taste in music is better than your attention span.
