personal space isn't something that amaterasu really knows about or cares about. she's more concerned with the fact that he seems to be burning up herp and pushes him back from herself enough to set a palm to his forehead. she rolls her eyes at him and this time, since he's so adamant that he be let go, she shoves him first! but, uh-- there's that pesky thing about her strength so she sends him going a lot farther than she means to! widening her eyes, amaterasu covers her face until the telltale CRASH sounds and then she... tries to fly over but can't. bristling, she takes off in a jog to reach him! ) Amaterasu did not mean to thurow you that hard! Are you alurighto!?

Why do you keep calling me that anyway? [Someone is not up on their Norse Mythology] I have a name, you know. [Not that he's ever offered it up to her during the course of this... conversation?]

Are you serious right now? [Look whose not being silent in anyway. With a shake of his head he sucks in a sharp settling breath.

When there's finally some space between them, Chazz thinks he'll be able to recover his composure... but this crazy girl just won't leave it alone. Those soft digits gliding over his forehead befuddle him briefly.] I'm not sick... [He manages to squeak out. This is probably the most that he's ever been handled by a girl and it's mostly been to threaten him with bodily harm, so why was she suddenly worried about his well being? Before he can add much else he goes tumbling backwards when she loses her temper again.]

Gah! [The sound of his cry tapers off after the collision with someone's lawn ornament, and is replaced with a groan.] What are you, crazy or something?! I'm getting whiplash from trying to keep up with your moodswings. [.. but that's about all he has the energy for. The confusion of the day, coupled with a prolonged exchange of verbal barbs, topped off with a collision into whatever this lawn decoration was supposed to be has him totally drained. He just lays there uselessly, letting his head lean backwards as he looks at the sky above.]

[Before the offending kami can reach him, there's a weird popping sound and a flash of light that accompanies it. When the illumination fades there's a monster standing in her way. Druddigon had waited long enough to be released from it's ball and it's master was in trouble.]

( he claims not to be ill but she can sense him burning up and... she honestly doesn't meet to yeet him shove him quite as hard as she did. but, amaterasu never really knows or thinks of her own strength when doing even the most menial of tasks.

as she approaches and the small ( well, maybe small to her ) dragon appears, she raises her brows. ) ...bwuh? A baby of Fafunir peruhaps?

( similarly sensing issues rising, the pokeball hanging from her waist illuminates and breaks apart, releasing the fox pokemon, fennekin, from within. momentarily, this causes amaterasu to be distracted and she glances to it at her side. ) Wha--! A baby Fenurir?!

( chazz, you've been forgotten. sorry about that. )

They were expanding in size!

No, I'm a Princeton. As in Chazz Princeton. [Now to address the elephant in the room he's been ignoring.] .. and who are you supposed to be because there's no way you're actually named Amaterasu?

[At least her 10 second memory seems to be working in his favor after the impact. Now he can just lay there uselessly, play dead, and wait for her to depart so he can try to salvage any portion of his remaining pride.

All the strange noises can't be ignored for long. Although he doesn't try to get up, he cranes his neck in order to see what's going on now. When he sees the dragon he bolts up to a seated position.]

A... duel monster?... but it's not like any I've seen before...

[Huh, did you say something? Look at this thing!]

What is a Duel Monster? Uwaaahhh! Your dragon is so cute! And my baby Fenrir is so cute! Where did you get the dragon!? Uwaaah! Fafnir would be so proud of this one!

( her entire personality seems to have done a complete turn around. she's diddling about on the ground because she can't flit about here and there in the air to express her glee at the small creatures! )

Uh.. huh? [An actual prince? No. Does he look like one? With that coat of his that's tattered on the ends? He wears it as a badge of pride though since it signifies his domination of the school body of North Academy, and his return to glory. When he dies, they'll have to bury him in this beat up coat] .. Duel Academy? [So he answers dumbly] You don't really look like any of your paintings... [but most Amaterasu's were in that outdated style where NO ONE looked good] .. and the Duel Monster's card based on Amaterasu looks more.. I don't know... mature and noble.

You don't know what Duel Monsters is? What.. have you been living under a rock? Everyone knows what it is.. [Chazz, she already said she didn't] He looks powerful, just my style. [Giving himself a push off the ground, he finally stops lounging dramatically and gets to his feet]

.... You just threw me halfway across the town and now you want to pet my monster...? [One shake of the head later] Ok, but if he bites you it's not on me.

Is Duel Academy your kingdom? ( clearly, she thinks he can pass for a prince, it seems. she scrunches her nose, though, when he talks about the stuffily made paintings and puffs her cheeks. ) No one has ever managed to capture my essence and beauty correctly! It is most aggravating and if Amatersu ever finds them, they will pay for their transgressions! ( is she serious? yes, very. you're on her list, artists. )

No! Amaterasu has never heard of it. ( she shrugs but shakes her head. ) Amaterasu does not live under rocks but has sometimes slept against them! ( it's definitely the same thing, right?

she waves her hands flippantly. ) Yes, Amaterasu does not always know Amaterasu's own strength! But! Your baby Fafnir is so cute! ( she bounces about again but this time because she has absolutely no idea what the hell personal space is, she throws her arms around him and smooches his cheek! ) Thank you, thank you, thank you!

( with all that being said, she bounces over to druddigon and giddily holds her hand out to him in the hopes he'll let her pet him! ) Hi hi! Amaterasu thinks you are sooo cuuute! Look! You're as cute as Amaterasu's cuuute creature too! Waaaah, why are you both so cute!? ( she yanks fennekin into herself and squeezes her delightfully with her hand still outstretched toward the dragon. )

I mean... technically? [Given his recent activity they dang well better consider him the king of games of Duel Academy island. A moment later he thought better of the misleading utterance.] It's not a kingdom, it's a school. It is pretty exclusive, and I am one of the top-tier students. [Just don't ask him what dorm he's crashing in because it's not the one he should be] Guess it's like with everything- people just create what fits their talent-level or their aesthetics. [He just tunes out the threat]

.. Slept against them. Everyone's a comedian. [He repeated tiredly.] It's only the most popular card game in the entire world.

Well Amaterasu better watch it or she's going to get a hefty bill from my lawyers. [Does he actually have any lawyers on retainer? No. Does she need to know that? Of course not. Seeing just how delighted she looks at his consent to pet his monster, it's hard not to get swept up in it. A sense of pride washes over him from the sheer random fortune of acquiring a dragon for his first creature. When her features soften like this she slips more into the cute category- which confusing given how annoying she had been. Then Amaterasu has the audacity to put her hands on him.] I said you could pet the monster, not ME. [He starts to reach up to pry her off, but she adds that kiss and it stuns him into a stupor. In a matter of moments he feels his face starting to burn as his "fever" makes a reappearance. Technically this didn't count as a first kiss, did it?! He was saving that one for... well.. you know. Still he didn't find the sensation all that unpleasant.] I...er ... you're welcome? I .. guess. I mean.. [Stop babbling! Forgive him Alexis but this has never happened before!]

[The Druddigon looks Amaterasu over as she hurries over to him, sizing her up. She's just a slip of a thing and not posing a threat so he waits a moment, then takes a step forward and inclines his head to make it easier for her to reach.]

( see, she knew he was some royal guy since it's "technically" his kingdom. of course, that doesn't mean she's going to show him more respect or anything. a deity is definitely higher on the hierarchy ladder than a measly prince. ) "School," mm. Amaterasu knows what you are saying. ( but do you, ama? she assumes he's just trying to hide his royalty or something because who's kingdom is a school? ) Perhaps, but! They should try harder anyway.

Indeed! ( she shakes her head, though. the fuck is he talking about? ) Amaterasu has never heard of it, so, it must not be that popular after all!

What is a lawyer? ( even if she was aware of what a lawyer is, she isn't the sort of deity to care about it, so, you seem to be shit outta luck, kiddo. but also excuse you, amaterasu is always within the "cute" category. still, she is indeed acting more that way since he gave her the okay to make friends with his druddigon and all. she smooches his cheek and then heads over to the pokemon without realizing that she's short-circuited the young man's brain. it's not a first kiss, per se, since it's only on the cheek but perhaps it's his first kiss on the cheek?

the kami is happily scritching and petting at both pokemon so she certainly doesn't notice his face going redder than red and how much he's flustered. it isn't until she finally turns to see him that she spots it and blinks. )

Uwah? Do you have a fever again? Maybe Amaterasu should bring you to a theater?

[Being an heir to an empire is kind of like being a prince- even if he had no current claim on said empire, right? Chazz certainly didn't think of himself as a prince either.. but he still deserved some respect!] Ok, good because I wasn't stuttering when I said it. [They are so on the wrong page and he doesn't realize it] I don't know, the Duel Monsters card is pretty flattering though. I wouldn't slap that artist with retribution even if it is inaccurate.

You know, like a legal team. A person that sees that their client gets what's coming to them, legally. [This is probably the worst explanation of a lawyer that's ever been put to type. Even though Chazz knew what a lawyer was, he'd obviously never actually employed one or thought about how they accomplished their jobs.

For a while Chazz's brain is 100% out to lunch as he struggles with his internal conflict. Although he also tries to convince himself that a kiss on the cheek doesn't count as a "first", it doesn't stick. It would be different if she was like.. a grandma or something but she's not.]

[The misunderstandings abound] Nothing, because there was no stuttering... you're impossible. [It's like they were talking different languages although for all practical purposes they appeared to be speaking the same one] Yeah, there is. Not that I have her in my deck. [Her summoning conditions are a pain, and she has WAY too much atk and def for his Ojama strategy. Also.. she's too.... girly.]

That's just... forget it, for now. [Apparently everything this girl doesn't know could fill an ocean.] It's not like they're even here right now.

[It's fine Ama, he's just.. an idiot. A casual gesture like that shouldn't be enough to send your whole mind into a tailspin.]

How the heck would I know?! I've never been here before. [Druddigon snorts it's own displeasure at having the attention taken away from it, and for the increase in decibels. It lumbers back over to it's trainer and raises a wing over his head. There. You're cooler now.. stop fussing. Maybe you shouldn't wear all black on a sunny day...] Eh-... that's weird. It's like he's trying to help or something...

( they seem to be definitely speaking in tongues with one another in spite of doing no such thing. she is impressed with the idea of being a card in his oh so important game though -- whether she's a cute portrait of her "real" self on it or not. ) Alas! But Amaterasu will hopefully see it another time, perhaps.

that's okay, so is she. apparently it does! but she's not paying mind to it because she's more taken with the cute pokemon. she tilts her head when the dragon-like pokemon raises its wing over chazz's head. she smiles, clenching both fists together with renewed excitement! )

Because that's what is happening! He's trying to block you from the sun! It's a little insulting, but, Midgardians aren't always able to be in the sun for so long. What an impressive creature!
