For real though I'm always done for Shrike meeting new people! He WILL still be shy at first and slow to warm up to someone because just. a lifetime of being treated poorly by others tends to leave some significant scars, but with time and patience he usually eventually starts opening up. Plus if she's at all familiar with fae/fay/fair folk/whatever you wanna call 'em she might have an easier time understanding some of his quirks* than most.
* Note that it's pretty impossible to tell whether said quirks are actually due to fay heritage or just thanks to his upbringing, such as it was...
