[Radley has also taken refuge in the cave with some of his Pokemon. Hearing the shriek, they come running.]

Are you okay?!

[Several Eevees make concerned trills. Radley stops short of the new hole, trying to peer in.]

“Awww that is really sweet. I honestly thought that I need to have Carmen battle many Pokémon in order for me to catch them. That seems to what I have seen from watching other trainers so far,” Isabela sheepishly admits to him.

“Bud-Dew, dew! Budew.”

( serenity's eevee trills at the new ones, trying to assert to them that her owner has taken a fall and she can no longer see serenity anywhere. the darkness of the cave is definitely acting as a large shadow, which keeps her from seeing her trainer but more importantly, from the trainer being unable to see the way back up again.

serenity is blinded anew when she manages to stand up from the dark. she remembers this. the haunting darkness of being unable to see anything at all. the scars of the past live on in her memories of what it was like before joey managed to win the money that gave life to her eyes again.

here she is, now, crying as she feels her palms against the wall of the the cave and whimpers, trying desperately to see or find something she can grab onto. ) Eevee! ( on top of being terrified, she's worried about the condition of her sweet little partner. ) Eevee!

( her breathing is getting quicker and she's beginning to panic when the sound of a voice-- a person!-- echoes through the cave. she lets out a half-laugh-half-gasp at it, tears springing to her eyes anew. ) Yes! Yes I'm okay, I just-- I just, I can't see... I can't... I don't know how to get back up!

[Luckily, Radley also has his Skitty, who has learned Flash. She lights up the area and leans over the hole.]

I see you! I've got a rope in here I can lower down....

[He goes through his bag until he finds it. He sends it through the hole.

His Pokemon warble assurances to Serenity's that she'll be okay.]

"A lot of Trainers do that, yeah," Radley says. "But it seems like it's not always necessary."

Evie started talking to Budew now. "Vee-vee-vee!"

[How fortunate it is for Serenity that a hand grabs her by the wrist before she fully falls and a Yamask catches the Eevee in his arms. The rescuer grunts a few times before pulling her back up to the current floor as well as away from the newly created hole. The Yamask gently sets the Eevee down and explains to them that everything is okay.

Serenity may recognize the particularly nasally voice that addresses her once they're both safe from any weaker spots on the floor. It's hard to see but she may also recognize the blonde hair, dark skin, and striking lavender eyes.

Seems his eyes haven't adjusted fully to the darkness of the cave for him to recognize who he's just saved while looking for dark and ghost type pokémon.]

Are you alright?

( when the flash illuminates the cave, serenity feels her anxiety slowly ebbing away. she can see. that's all she needed, really, to calm herself. she sniffles and waits until the rope is hanging down far enough that she can grasp it in her hands! )

Th, Thanks...! I... I've got it!

( she wraps the rope around her waist and ties it as tight as she can manage while her eevee trills and reluctantly believes the other pokemon that serenity will be okay. she's still rather worried after all! )

I think it's secured... I'll start climbing, okay?

Sure! Come on.

[Radley holds on tight.

His Eevees have complete confidence in him.]

( there's a sharp gasp from her lips as her arm is grabbed! she dangles for a moment before she's tugged back up. her eyes dart about in the darkness but she can't see anything. ) Eevee...!?

( there's a trill in reply to her questioning whether her partner is safe and serenity relaxes. she pushes her feet against the wall of the large hole she started to plummet down and helps to get herself back up again. with eevee protected and herself back on solid ground, she heaves her breaths to try and get herself back down to normal. )

I... ( she can't actually see him that much because of how dark it is inside the aptly named cave but the voice is very familiar. she stumbles up to her feed and steps backward a few paces. ) N, No way... N, Not you...

Eevee, return! ( she points the ball to her sweet friend and turns on her heel, not thanking him for the hell before bolting toward the opened mouth of the cave back into the rainfall...! it's high time to get the heeeeck away from the guy who tried to utterly destroy her friends, and brother. )

( she does her best to walk up the length of the hole's wall and manages, with his help, to get to the edge where she'd slipped and grunts, pressing her gut against it as she drags herself up back onto solid ground. she's dirty and feeling a bit worse for wear, but, she's alive and out of the frightening darkness ( well, the darker-darkness ) at least. )

Th, Thank you! I'm sorry for causing you to have to help me like that, I didn't realize the ground here wasn't all that safe... ( she breathes a heavy sigh of relief. thanks to flash, she can see her saviour and smiles a bit sheepishly to him. ) What's your name? I'd like to thank you properly at least.

It's fine. I'm glad we were here. The ground giving out was a surprise to me too.

[He's glad he knows, although he wishes he hadn't found out in this way.]

I'm Radley.

[He looks like a biker punk, black leather and jewelry. But he's harmless.]

I'm Serenity Wheeler, it's... really good to meet you. Thanks for helping me. ( she puffs a breath in relief once more. serenity is clad in mostly pink attire, looking pretty well like a sweet, friendly young lady. ) Maybe I can buy you a drink of tea or something as thanks?

Serenity Wheeler?

[Radley stares in amazement.]

Joey's sister?

[The offer is momentarily forgotten with this revelation.]

( she finds herself blushing a bit at the stare he's giving her. ) Huh! You know my big brother? Have you seen him? ( oho, the excitement becomes real because !!big brother!! )

Yeah! He talks about you a lot!

[Radley smiles.]

We're pretty good friends.

( she clears her throat lightly with some embarrassment that joey would talk about her so much but she smiles in turn. ) That's amazing! I hope I run into him soon...

I hope so too. Is this how far you've got in your journey? We've been farther and just came here to deliver some eggs in the area. We were heading back when the storm hit.

[Likewise, it doesn't click with him until she speaks. Serenity was bit a small blip on his scale of schemes during Battle City. As she runs away, he reaches out towards her, about to call out when it finally hits him.

This is Joey's sister...!

If this had been anyone else, he'd have insulted her but knowing Joey, he'll kill him if anything happens to her...!]

W-Wait!

[He'll need to use manipulation tactics but that should guarantee her safety in the long run.]

... I know where your brother is!

[Not fully. But he can easily contact him. And try not to make it look like he kidnapped her. Gods help him.]

[Oh snap is that Tristan?! Joey knew there had to be some more of the gang floating around. Finding da second of the two amigos is just perfection, but definitely gets Joey wondering how long he's been here if he hadn't been able to run into him prior to this.

Sneaking up behind him, Joey would try his best to jump onto Tristan's back and give his bud a proper scare.]

Tristan! How da hell long you been in here ya crazy coot!

[A light would begin to emanate from deeper in the cave, and the sound of footsteps would steadily grow louder as the light drew closer. After a time Joey would become viewable as he rounds one of the caves many bends, old timey lantern in hand and backpack on his back. Spotting that someone is in the cave ahead of him, but unable to make it out with the harsh contrast of the lighting, he squints and stares ahead.]

Hello? Someone der?

Deliver eggs? ( she raises her brows but then puts her palms together rather cutely. ) Oh my gosh! Are you a breeder?

Yeah, I am! I breed these sweethearts.

[The Eevees he's brought all warble.]

( serenity is very nearly out of the mouth of the cave when the echoing sound of marik's comment reaches her. she stops rather dead in her tracks and the panic skyrockets. is that a threat? does it mean he has joey trapped in a shadow game? it doesn't cross her mind that he might actually be trying to help her. )

Wh... What do you mean? Wh- What have you done to Joey?!

( shivering from the cold clinging to her clothing, she slams her fists against the wall she's just slid down. serenity has a deep seeded fear of the dark ever since she'd lived in it for a while. thanks to joey, she no longer had to be that way but this was a heavy reminder of that time. panicked breaths escape her lips as she tries to dig at the wall to get herself back up not only to her eevee but to be less in the darkness of the aptly named cave.

the figure that he can see is the small form of an eevee who is desperately trilling at her trainer down below, trying to think of a way to get serenity back up on solid ground. when the light fills the mouth of the cave, serenity feels the welling of emotions in her chest. firstly, there's light! that must mean someone is nearby and maybe they can help her. secondly... that voice... )

H- Help! Help! The ground i- it gave away! Pl- Please, help me! I need to get back up to Eevee...!

[Joey's eyes widen. Someone was in peril and, unless he was very much mistaken, it was someone truly dear to him.]

Go Red-Eyes!

[Tossing a Pokéball into the hole sets off an explosion of light and a large black dragon Pokémon appears. A fire on its tail casts light across the pit, and allows Joey to see more clearly from the pit's edge. With the ability to better ascertain what was happening in the crevice, Joey's heart stopped. It was Serenity down there.]

Hang on Serenity! I'll get you outta der!

[He points to his Charizard.]

Get her outta der Red-Eyes, and be real careful too!

[The dark dragon holds its arms wide for Serenity to grab hold of it, the warmth and light of rescue made manifest in its hulking form.]
