Route 29
Isabela is still in shock of what happened to her right now. She has went from tending the gardens at Casita only to be blacked out to waking up at a strange house and being sent off her way by a cheery woman who certainly isn’t Julieta. There was apparently no time to ask questions of her current whereabouts or about her family. And yet she got no answers

She barely survived countless Sentrets and those squirrel things whose name evades her as she tries to get to the end of the route for what might have felt like hours and yet Isabela manages to get out of the forest, pretty much out of breath and with a little green bud like Pokémon with stubby legs.

“Bud, Budew, Dew? Budew,” the little bud creature wonders if they have escaped those pesky normal types by now.

Violet City
After a few days have passed, Isabela manages to find her way into Violet City to make a stopover, rest up and get more supplies. She is looking around the city for some stuff for the trip ahead and the Budew (named Carmen) is wobbling behind her, practically in awe of what she is seeing. Turning to find a PokéMart, she enters the establishment, hoping to find supplies she would need within her budget since she has not applied for a job just yet despite being of age by Jotho standards.

“Hi, I’m looking for some stuff for the next couple of weeks. Is there anything I can find within my price point?” she asks to anyone near her while Carmen happily dances around her feet.

Bellibolt-Oh No!
It had to be her most unlucky day that she has taken the moment to have a nice relaxing lunch by the pond and possibly catch some water type Pokemon while it is raining. The young lady does wish that she could have gotten a sturdier umbrella and yet it somehow managed to slip out of her mind as she fights to keep the one she has in place. But that is nothing compared to what happens next. While she is trying to steady the umbrella for her and Carmen’s picnic and fighting the March rain showers, Isabela could hear noises from near the water’s edge though it is hard to tell what species it could come from due to the current weather.

The little Budew nervously shakes as she turns her small body around to find it. Isabela can tell that those noises are giving her quite a fright that she gets up to walk up to the edge to find a big green smiley frog thing(?). This is clearly the first time she has seen something like this. Yep, that is enough Pokémon spotting for her as she tries to return to her resting spot and yet the frog Pokémon is following as if it wants to hug her. This is getting her to be pretty nervous as she tries to back away from it, not knowing how powerful this thing could be. And yes, Isabela might have made an unlikely new friend in this unbelievably friendly wild Bellibolt.

Radley is in town filling an order or two and happens to see the scene. He has never seen Bellibolt before and also has no idea what to expect. And now his adorable Evie the Eevee wants to make new friends!

"Vee-vee-vee!" she exclaims, barreling towards them both.

Radley gives chase, trying to hold on to his own umbrella. "Evie! Wait!"

Evie sits down and tilts her head. "Vee?"

Isabela is still spooked out by the Bellibolt’s desire to find a friend when she also hears other voices coming into where she is at. Soon she is able to catch a glimpse of a fluffy brown fox Pokémon running towards her and the Bellibolt. This little one is so cute and adorable.

“Bud?” Carmen squeaks up from the blanket she is sitting on to keep it from flying away.

“Oh why hello there,” Isabela greets Evie while exchanging glances at the big electric frog, “You want to get a closer look at this fellow too?”

"Eevee-vee!" Evie squeals.

Radley catches up. "Hi. This is Evie. I'm Radley." He smiles. "Any time she sees potential new friends, she runs over."

“Nice to meet you, Radley,” she turns to meet Evie’s trainer, “I’m Isabela and that little bud creature is Carmen, she is my starter Pokémon. That big frog is a, um, Bellibolt as my Pokédex has told me.”

“Bud-Dew! Dew,” Carmen calls out from her picnic blanket sitting.

“Belli-bolt, Bolt! Bellibot!” the Bellibolt happily croaks.

"Hi," Radley smiles.

He pales to hear the frog's name. "Belli ... bolt?" It's electric?

"Eevee-vee-vee!" Evie says cheerfully to Bellibolt.

[Eda sighs and shakes her head at the question.]

Your guest is as good as mine, sister. I haven't been here long myself. I was planning to swipe what I needed from this place, [The way Eda sees it, this realm owes her big time.] but their security isn't as pathetic as I'd hoped.

Oh wow. That’s pretty fair. I heard that the Jennies are very diligent to find any criminals on the loose. I certainly didn’t expect them to this tough though.

Bud? Budew.

“From what I read in the Pokédex, it is definitely an Electric type. And for a wild one, he sure is being absolutely friendly to strangers,” Isabela awkwardly confirms it with Radley, “Unless I have a Ground type to shoo him away, he might be following me and Carmen around Jotho until I could somehow catch him.”

“Bellibot! Bolt,” the frog croaks again.

Radley tries to back away without it being obvious he's backing away. "I don't think you should make him mad," he says. "He's so friendly, he probably wouldn't be hard to catch. Maybe he wants to go with you and he'd just agree to it without a battle. A couple of mine just followed us around and came with us willingly."

I. New Bark Town

You know, just once, I wouldn't mind if this supernatural stuff would send a postcard or something to let me know when it's coming.

[Said a brunette with a distinctive hairdo that was taking this waayyyy too casually given the situation he was now in. All he had on his person were the few items that had been conveyed to him, and the clothes on his back.

He sighed, and ran a free hand over his face as he debated what he should do first.]

If I'm here, chances are Yugi and the others are too.

[In the past they always were.]

Didn't mom say something about a communication device..?

[With that, he found a shady, out of the way place to step out of the road and search through his bag]

II. Network

So, I'm not sure who is out there reading this but this is Tristan Taylor and I'm looking for my friends.

Have any of you seen anyone answering by any of these names: Yugi Mutou, Joey Wheeler, or Téa Gardner? Yugi's a short little guy with tricolored hair, kind of looks star-shaped. Joey is well.. he's blondish, kind of scruffy looking, has an accent? And Téa is well.. Téa.

[Descriptions are so difficult, apparently.]

Anyway, if you guys are reading this- give me a buzz and then let's figure out what's going on here.

III. Route 29 - Of course it's a Monkey

[Strangely, this isn't the first time Tristan has been thrown into an alternate dimension or virtual one and been made to battle his way out of it. So the idea that he now had to rely on "real" monsters just takes him back to the fateful trip to India. So which ancient dead guy would ultimately end up being behind this one?

Wanting to ensure that his first meeting with his new pokémon didn't lead to any collateral damage, he moved off a ways from the nearest town and extracted the pokéball from his bag.]

It's kind of like one of those capsule monsters, huh?

[With that said, to no one specifically he gave the button a press and tossed it into the open field. As the light faded a chimchar stood in it's place. Almost as soon as he noticed what the species reminded him of, his expression fell.]

You gotta be kidding me, is that a monkey?!

[A flashback to being trapped inside a robot monkey flashed through his mind. What he should have been doing was paying more attention to the tall grass. Having startled the local fauna, he didn't realize he was about to get jumped]

“Wait, I could catch him if he doesn’t want to fight? He doesn’t look like the type to start a fight.”

Radley, did you just encourage her to catch this electric frog? She does have some PokéBalls laying around for her to use. So maybe she can get her first catch right about now. Rushing back to her bag to retrieve one, the Bellibolt happily cheers as she returns with it.

“Belli-bolt!” the Bellibot croaks again as she puts it near him so he could touch the ball’s button.

“Um here? Try to touch the button on this ball to get inside,” she tells him.

The Bellibolt happily taps on it before he gets sucked into the ball via energy. It took a while for the ball to register it but the Bellibolt has now joined her team.

( azalea town : adventure park )

( serenity hasn't been to an amusement park in a while and certainly not this sort. there are people whizzing past on zip lines and other interesting arbor related courses. she heads along a canopy bridge until she comes across the rope climbing. zipping along and climbing trees might be a little too much for her but she's willing to give rope climbing a chance. it's a good way to work out the arms and legs, right?

she approaches and looks around at the safety gear before adjusting it on herself with the help of the instructor. once all settled, she heads to a rope and while double checking herself, she reaches for a rope but it happens to already have some hands on it! she raises her brows and blushes, letting go! )

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to grab the rope you're using!

( dark cave : just off route 45 )

( it's very, very dark in the aptly named "dark cave." serenity only ducked into it because it happened to start raining and she was in need of somewhere to keep both herself and her sweet eevee safe from the potential for a storm. she was crouched down next to eevee, petting her lightly, shivering from the drenched clothing clinging to her small frame. )

I, It's okay... The rain will p, pass...

( she shifts on the ground floor of the cave and peers around it some. it really is extremely dark and she isn't sure she wants to go any further than the mouth of the cave. there's a clattering of stones behind herself, though, and suddenly a skorupi appears from seemingly nowhere. she lets out an undignified shriek at seeing it and feels the ground give out behind herself. soon she's tumbling and winds up separated from her eevee...! )

( serenity is minding her own business and meandering around the routes to try and acclimate herself with this new "world" she's found herself in when a familiar voice reaches her ears. ) Huh? Could it be...

( picking up the pace, she hurries along the path until she sees him and lights up! she opens her mouth to call to him but spots the shaking grass and instead just boldly rushes over to him to yank him away from the grass as an applin leaps out in an attempt to attack...! )

Tristan, be careful!

Radley has to smile, touched, at how excited the Bellibolt is.

"Awww, that's sweet. He really does like you."

Evie dances and warbles.

[The rustling behind him finally catches his attention enough for him to look back over his shoulder. He's still not all that concerned until the mutant-bug-eyed apple emerges and lunges for him. Emitting the most undignified cry of alarm, Tristan is stunned a second time when he feels someone tugging him out of the direct trajectory of the creature.]

Thanks, I owe you one. [As he turns to look at his rescuer it dawns on him that this person not only knew his name, but he recognized her voice] Serenity?!

[The reunion had to be put on hold for a little longer as the applin geared up for another pass. Tristan angled himself between it and Serenity, then called to his own pokémon.]

Hey ape! A little help here?!

[The chimchar is a little slow to react, unsure if it's the one being addressed, but who else could his trainer have meant? So it leaps into action making a chattering noise of challenge, as it viciously swipes at the offending wild pokémon]

It... it actually worked? [Then remembered who he was with] Just like we practiced! [~~This teenage boy is so full of it, please be impressed by him~~]

"Hey, uh.. are you alright there?" Catching sight of the lady as she emerged from the forest and could begin trying to catch her breath. He took note of the pokémon at her heels but said nothing about it. It clearly wasn't acting aggressively, so it likely belonged to her.

Tristan was still trying to get the hang of everything himself, so unfortunately there wasn't much he had to offer her other than an ear to tell her troubles to. One forest looks like any other if it's a forest you've never been in before.

Hey, don't sweat it.

[Dana removed her own hand from the line, and took a step back.]

Why don't you go on ahead, I can go up after you.

[She might be in a strange land, devoid of her powers and close allies but that didn't mean she needed to be a jerk to everyone she met. They were all here to have a good time and take their mind of their troubles, weren't they?]

It took Isabela a while to take note of where the voice came but she did get up to find a young man person who happens to be near by. Clearly the route forests are completely different from the jungles near the encanto, she have seen many of them for most of her life.

The little bud squeaks as she sees Tristan as well, “Bud? Budew.”

“Um, I’m definitely alright, but it looks like some of these squirrels and rabbit earred things just wanted to chase after Carmen just because she is pretty small,” she explains to him, “I tried to shield her from them but it did got out of control.”

“Oh gee, thanks. I didn’t expect to get my first catch so soon. He is really adorable now that I think about it,” Isabela can now have a relief now that Bellibot is in her team.

“Bud-Dew! Budew, Budew,” Carmen cheers from the picnic blnaket.

( at first, he doesn't seem to realize who "rescued" him and it causes a giggle to pass her lips when he does a double-take, veering to face her. she lifts a hand in greeting but the pleasantries are cut short because the applin has plans to lunge again. this time she's a bit worried herself about the attempted attack. ) Ack! Oh no, it's coming back!

( tristan is, however, very much on it! as he steps between herself and the offending pokemon, she feels a slight bit of heat rise to her cheeks and watches as he orders his adorable monkey-mon to defend them. she raises her brows, though, when he mentions that they've been practicing. not one to not be totally impressed by tristan's level of skill ~~dueling expert, eh?~~ she brightens up and feels less threatened! ) Tristan to the rescue! I'm so glad you've trained somewhat, I'm still learning with Eevee...

( when chimchar swipes at the applin, the grass-type frets and soon scurries off, afraid of being inflicted with a burn, or worse, fainting. ) You made it go away! Great job, Tristan!

Oh! ( she gives a friendly smile to the girl and nods soft. ) Thank you so much, truth be told, I've never done this before so I'm a bit nervous to make sure that I do it right. Have you ever done this sort of climbing? Because if you have, well, you should definitely go up there first! I'd be able to learn better if I have someone to spot.

well, well. look who just turned up. i happen to have information about your pals. some, at least. but i wonder what i should ask in return if i tell you about them...

"Yeah. I always think it's cute when a Pokemon takes a shine to somebody," Radley says. "I got an Espurr and a couple of other Eevees that way."

[Radley is amazed to see this message come through. He recognizes most of the names from his Duel Monsters tournament DVDs!]
