CR MEME!
Another six(!) months have come and gone, so it is time for another CR meme. This time a winter themed one.
Please share your ideas for interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you're rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You can find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Otherwise: in VR, a little guy in a big wizard hat! Who... isn't a wizard. Generally trying very hard to give off an impression of a friendly, cheerful jokester - but with a surprising amount of totally mundane topics that will make them change the subject or go weirdly silent. (It's been months and they have yet to tell a single person their name...?)
Possibly interesting to characters who (highlight for spoilers):
- have experience with time loops
- are interested in stars and space
- have feelings about having their body changed without their input (maybe you weren't human before VR?)
- are in Self-Loathing Recovery
and need a support group of peers- love/hate puns
- have past or current Identity Issues (particularly about being replaced, being a "worse" version of someone, etc)
- have complicated feelings about their culture/heritage (or lack thereof/disconnection from)
- have memory problems. Come here, all ye magical amnesiac JRPGs... and folks with unmagical memory issues due to trauma!
Things I'm planning to have them do in the near future: help with Snorunts (around Saffron or nearby towns in Kanto), scoop up a Type: Null from Silph, then return to Johto and mayyybe attempt their first badge. The last is very negotiable, I am a-okay with them getting diverted!
Looking for (expand):
- I want Pokemon team CR! Maybe our characters bumped into each other once, and one of Loop's Pokemon decided it was Best Friends with one of your character's team. Or Bitter Rivals! Or simply Casual Acquintances that enjoy debating which human fashion is the weirdest.
- For existing CR, I'd like to work up to a situation where Loop ends up with a Pokemon from them! Intentional trades? Accidental swaps? Eggs? I don't care, I just like it as a source of additional CR and sentimental feelings...
- This one is a Stretch because I'm not sure how many characters are even doing a Pokemon Journey at this point, let alone in the same region... but I would still love to get Loop a Johto travel buddy. ;v;
- Would you like a witness or participant in Your Character Drama/Plot/Goal? Someone to work for a week in your character's business/gym/whatever? Something else?? I am waggling a Loop in your direction

We don't have CR yet, and you want to handwave some simple encounters to kickstart CR before threading? Absolutely! In the past few months, Loop has been around: Ecruteak City, MooMoo Farm, Olivine City, Goldenrod City, Mt. Mortar (and routes in between). In January they're taking a side trip to Kanto so will be around Saffron City & the general surroundings/nearby cities. Let me know if you'd like to handwave:
- a plain old not-very-memorable Pokemon battle
- your character helping Loop with their Pokegear (mostly before ~December)
- Loop bumping into your character at their job, or your character running into Loop doing odd jobs
- just kind of seeing each other around town/routes
- passing Pokemon interactions that neither of our characters noticed... but the Pokemon Remember Each Other

I haven't looked at the movepools they'd produce yet, but looking at their rosters there are definitely some possibilities if any of these were ones you think might be fun for Loop's team.
Alfinse could pair with Min's Azumarill, Alolan Vulpix, Gogoat, Alolan Sandslash, Skitty, HA Fuecoco, Mabosstiff, or shiny Eevee . Burnoît also has the same options minus Azumarill.
Fleuirk's only option is Min-Gi's Eastern Gastrodon, but! That's something.

Confession, I wanted to tag your album post but Loop not understanding half of what they were saying made it... tricky... Commercial music in their setting would probably have been at the stage of sheet music.As far as the breeding options: I'm open to any of the above! I honestly care more about the CR than moves/etc, so it's really just if there's anything you're interested in! If I have to tiebreak I'd probably be picking based on type coverage and not much else, haha.
That said: Alfinse is the non-battler so he probably won't be contributing much, unless you specifically want to try for a Buizel. Burnoît and Fleuirk are at least leveling up, and I can justify Loop grabbing a TM for one of them before Suddenly Eggs!

I know I was curious about the Legendary Seekers... realistically Loop would most likely only seek out the group to find out how to Avoid All Legendaries, they want absolutely nothing to do with any of them. But I would be interested in getting Loop involved, so I'm sure I can find a way to make it happen :3c Doppio only being in there to spy makes it even funnier to me, honestly

Originally from 1974 (with a pitstop in 2007) he's settled in the futuristic land of Johto quite well. He likes to think he's calmed down with the help of Rose, but JW can still be pretty prickly if you ruffle his feathers or inconvenience him. The man holds grudges like it's his hobby. Unemployed.

While his team isn't the best, he's very competative and not above steamrolling a lower-leveled trainer if they get on his nerves. Or sometimes just for no reason. Cliffnotes: On the outside, Henry is very very normal. During his long run in Johto, Henry has let his hair grow to his shoulders and now he's working on a beard. He's one of those horror game survival protags so of course he's traumatized but he has all his Pokemon and his little found family to ground him. He's a pretty shy guy but makes an effort to be polite. His main hobby is photography. Henry doesn't battle much, though he keeps saying he's going to eventually go after a badge or two. His Pokemon are glorified pets. He works on the warp circuit as a Pokemon Center receptionist. He also sells poke'weed so if you need a hookup, let him know.
Looking for:
Friends - Henry almost exclusively hangs out with his housemates. I'd love to give him some buddies to meet up and chat with or battle.
Rival - Henry is like...the least confrontational person I play but I think it would be funny if he had random beef with someone. Nothing overly serious but it is enrichment in his enclosure.

Cliffnotes: Min's been here for over two years at this point. He's settled. He's happy. He very much considers it home, though that's a largely subconscious sentiment. He's an adept trainer with some strong teams, but his big passion is his two man band. Chicken Choice Judy have a decent following in Kanto, and now they've released their first album should probably start working on winning over Johto.
Looking for: Deeper relationships! A lot of his close CR are gone now, and I've admittedly not been the most active in recent months. I'm open to positive and negative CR, and I've tried to think of a few starting points to spark ideas.
- If your character is any type of musician or has a big interest in music that's always a good starting point!
- Min-Gi is allegedly a breeder. As a fraud he's no good for helping get your shinies or hidden abilities, but he can maybe help you out with TM/egg moves.
Alternatively, since he does have a good amount of HA Pokémon and shinies by now he could collaborate with another breeder. Here is a list of his public team! It's very out of date. Sorry. I do need to add a female shiny Eevee and shiny Lunatone, though for now at least they will not have any interesting moves or abilities. Honestly, I'm thinking Lunatone is likely not even hatched yet, buuuut maybe a future possibility for a breeder with a Ditto?
- Longer term I think it's more than time to start work on outing him as a Rocket. I'll probably use the bulletin board quests as a way to start forcing his hand in more participation, and having him become more nervous about his role. Even though I've lagged on this already I don't want to rush it so may look at building up to this to happen around mid-year?

Cliffnotes: Vinegar Doppio is a somewhat nice, somewhat meek and somewhat dim young man who happens to be in Team Rocket. He was also the right-hand man of a powerful mafia boss back in Italy. Oh, and he shares a body with that very same powerful mafia boss, whose name is Diavolo. It's sort of an anime DID thing but also literally two souls in one body. You know how it goes.
Thanks to his professional experience, Doppio seeks to climb Team Rocket's ranks, but he puts up an upstanding front as a traveling trainer - or at least he used to, before his prestigious position in the Legendary Seekers (of which he became a member for the sole purpose of spying for Team Rocket, shhhh) began taking up more and more of his time. It sure is hard to juggle a double life!
Looking for: I am always open to all kinds of CR, especially since Doppio, as his own one-body travel group, can be a little isolated! Unlikely friends worming their way into his heart are always great, and I loooove villain CR no matter what form it takes. I'm really interested in doing quests, Rocket or otherwise, so hopefully it'll be easier for me to find excuses to throw him at people now!
(Also, I said "travel group", but realistically, Doppio has probably spent most of the last year going back and forth between Ecruteak, Goldenrod and Saffron City. It sure is busy, being a Rocket Alpha on spy duty!!!)
Oh, and this year's going to be the year. He's finally beating Clair. I HAVE to make it happen.

Cliffnotes: Romelle is a judgmental bundle of nerves who tries to be the voice of reason among a group of crazy risk takers (Voltron Paladins aren't known for playing it safe unless they're Hunk). She doesn't like fighting, but will do what needs to be done in tough situations. She enjoys learning about new things and isn't afraid to ask a ton of questions. She sometimes jumps to conclusions, often assuming the worst possible scenarios with everything. Her goals are to cultivate a breeding service and eventually create a berry/apricorn farm.
Looking for: People to even her out. Romelle needs people who can calm her down when she panics and balance her doom-and-gloom tendencies. Canon: New Mobile Report Gundam Wing
Cliffnotes: Outgoing and happy-go-lucky late teens. Casual attitude and loves to give people nicknames. He has a kind of dark sense of humor sometimes and is a typical mecha anime tortured teen with a tragic past and trauma. He deals with it by burying it, because that's clearly healthy, and pretending he's a-okay all the time. He's open and friendly, and yet still manages to not disclose anything about himself until he gets close enough to someone. He's very loyal to and protective of those he considers friends, though. He's currently a reluctant Rocket trying to figure out how to navigate suddenly being the "bad guy" in life.

Cliffnotes: Grumpy and reluctant leader of Team Voltron with a secret soft center revealed to his friends and found family. Bristly exterior and lots of walls to get through, but loyal and protective once you do. Keith's been moping since Allura left and dealing with his grief in lots of mildly unhealthy ways, like overtraining, spending long stretches of time on camping trips, and pushing his humanized limits (he's half-Galra back home, so being humanized in VR has affected things like his endurance and durability).
Looking for: Keith needs someone to motivate him back into doing things again. He's kind of put life on hold, and stopped doing the badge challenge. He needs more CR again as many people he was close to have gone. Cliffnotes: Luna wants to work on her Dex. To her, it reminds her of Newt Scamander's book, Fantasic Beats and Where to Find Them, and that's one of her favorites. She kind of wants to do a little offshoot of the Dex focusing on "less popular" Pokémon... the ones that aren't traditionally cute, and maybe aren't super powerful for battle. And, she'll probably call it something silly like, Fantastic Pokémon and Why You Should Have One. As a breeder, those are the Pokémon she wants to focus on, and possibly even start a little shelter/rescue for them.
Looking for: Just about anything, even negative CR if things roll that way. Though, I'm not a fan of negative CR for the sake of negative CR.
