[Well when you put it that way....yeah Sophie feels kind of bad. She's got this problem where she doesn't ever fucking think about anything she does before she does it. It's not that she thinks she's ABOVE consequences, she just assumes things can't get worse. She's wrong like 90% of the time. Remember how I mentioned she got shot in the head once? Anyway now she's in something of a bind.
She does feel bad. The kid's right, partially. But that still doesn't mean she wants to get innocent pokemon hurt because she's an idiot and this child is apparently a rage volcano. (Pot, meet kettle.) Sticking to her guns about not sending out her primeape makes it seem like she's defending all her other actions too. And okay, to be honest she still thinks that yelling at the kid that bumped into her, and then the sniping banter was...not the right thing but also relatively harmless. The parents thing was definitely over the line though. And she should apologize for it.
Uuuuuuugh.
The kid wouldn't believe her though, it's not gonna sound genuine. She's not great at expressing most emotions, and 'remorse' is so far out of her wheelhouse it's embarrassing. So she can't send out her pokemon because of Principles, but she can't NOT send out her pokemon because the kid's kinda right. This isn't really a problem she can scream or punch her way out of so she has basically no idea what to do.
So she just stands there glaring at her own Pokeball in silence. Congratulations Chara, you've done something very impressive. She's speechless.]
>_> casually retcons that mankey into a primeape
