Azula // ATLA
Good Afternoon peasants.
[Behold, a rather intense looking black haired woman, in her late teens to early twenties sitting rather casually on a stone that happens to resemble a throne. An equally serious looking Jangmo-o is sitting at her feet as if daring the camera with it's glare.]
It is I Princess Azula and I require information regarding your dragon and Fire type pokemon.
I'm rather drawn to fire types due to my heritage as Princess of the Fire Nation, and dragons are intriguing in their own right.
So come forth and tell me about your strongest and best Dragon or Fire Type Pokemon. I want to know what your experience has been training them.
[So that she can crib notes for later on which ones she should try stealing.]

[Battle]
While Azula did not consider petty thievery beneath her...it did somewhat annoy her that she was forced to answer to someone who thought themselves her superior. Alas her options were not more enticing so she opted to play along with these so-called villains.
For now at least.
"I'll give you this one chance to surrender and hand over a pokemon. I would like to point out I am only demanding one pokemon so you may choose whichever one you like least. Isn't that reasonable?"
She thought it sounded so. But she also had her pokeball in hand for when they inevitably tried to put up a pathetic attempt at a fight.
"The alternative is to lose a fight with me and all the pokemon you're carrying." She took an aggressive stance trying to project the sort of confidence and chilling certainty that used to have grown military men flinching back from her.
"Well? What's it going to be?"

[Training]
"You are so USELESS!"
With a snarl and a kick Azula sent her Magikarp flying through the air only to slam into a tree and knock loose a metapod which began to wriggle and writhe on the ground.
"Can't you at least destroy THAT?!" She demanded pointing at the bug type who instantly began hardening his coat. Her Magikarp attempted to comply with an aggressive display of flopping around and gasping uselessly.
It may not have had any effect, but the look in it's eyes made it clear this Magikarp was DETERMINED to kill that Metapod who did not seem terribly impressed.
"I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. Every other pokemon has attacks, why are you just so...pathetic?" She sighed watching the comical display.
Perhaps you could give her some pointers, or train a different one of her pokemon.
Training
It killed Cynthia to see somebody abusing their pokemon, even moreso because it was as 'pathetic' as Magikarp seemed to be. She'd seen the whole thing, and rushed over as soon as the thud of the pokemon hitting the tree had rung throughout their vicinity.
Skidding to a halt, Cynthia barely kept her balance as she stood between Azula and the other girl's Magikarp. "You can't just treat your pokemon like that! They're supposed to be your friends!"
Re: Training
"Oh yes, of course. How foolish of me. I should be treating these powerful, bloodthirsty creatures as a friend rather then something that thrives on combat. I'm sure that those who rise to the very top are always coddling and cooing at their pokemon rather then ensuring that they perform to the highest standards possible."
Her golden eyes were crackling with intensity despite the dangerous low tone of her voice.
"But more importantly, who are you and what gives you the right to presume to tell me how to take care of my property?"
Re: Training
If Cynthia knew what Azula had once been more capable of, she might have been frightened enough to back down. As it was, however, she narrowed the space even further between them, blue eyes meeting Azula's gilded ones.
"And as for what gives me the right, as a former Pegasus Knight of Ylisse, I spent basically all my life fighting side by side with an animal for a partner. If you want your pokemon to fight for you, you have to treat them with respect."
Re: Training
"Oh well if a former knight thinks that I'm being too tough on my pokemon then by all means! Get in the way of our training. But I think you'll find that the fish knows who's in charge here."
Sure enough the Magikarp had returned to trying to hurt the Metapod who...was possibly asleep.
"You see, where I come from? Princess is a more respected title then knight. Especially a former knight. "
Re: Training
She pointed rather dramatically at the other trainer. "But if a Princess is what you want, then you'll be happy to know that I'm both a knight and a Princess." Cynthia's smile widened to a grin, and her hands fell on her hips, a wide stance taken. "And as a Princess and a Knight, I challenge you to a battle! Loser has to admit the winner was right."
Re: Training
She might actually enjoy this.
"And as a Princess and rightful Firelord to my entire Nation I will show you just how naive you really are."
With a dramatic flourish she threw her pokeball into the air summoning forth her first pokemon, a burly looking Growlith landed with a solid thud on it's paws creating small craters in the dirt.
Much like the Magikarp (Which was still flopping on the Metapod behind them) This Growlith had a fire in his eyes, ready and eager to battle. Smoke seeping from his mouth with each breath.
Re: Training
Steely resolve in her gaze, Cynthia leveled her finger at the Growlithe. "Fury Attack, now!" Gliding with deceptive speed towards the other pokemon, Cotton took aim, hoping to strike Growlithe with a series of pecks.

Meanwhile Azula wasn't standing still herself. She darted across the field towards Cynthia. Either no one had told her that trainers aren't supposed to fight, or she didn't care. Best get ready for her first strike coming from down low with a powerful kick.
no subject
At least, right up until the time a foot came flying up into her gut. Staggering, Cynthia nearly collapsed before glowering at Azula. "What was that for! We're not supposed to fight, they are!"
no subject
The last word she punctuated with another swing of her powerful leg attempting to sweep Cynthia's out from underneath her. The Princess did not sound at all apologetic.
Growlith took the hit like a champ bracing against the strike before trying to bite Cotton while they were close!
Battle
She arches her brow and looks around for a moment to make sure this weirdo is addressing her. "Er, yeah. How about, no?"
no subject
For now she raises an eyebrow questioningly at Diana's response.
"This isn't a yes or no question really. It's more a matter of how much you're willing to lose. But if you're going to be difficult I'm more then happy to do things the fun way."
Popping open her own Pokeball to summon an impressive looking Hakamo-o which snarled fiercely.
no subject
She sighs, her own posture relaxed, almost bored. "I mean, are you sure you want to do that?"
The Sylveon twitches its ears and tilts it head at the dragon Pokemon.
no subject
"If we're honest? No. I'd rather you just give me the pokemon and save us both the time and energy of a fight. Sure it's more fun crushing my opponents beneath my feet, but I can get more done in a day if you just accept your misfortune and move along."
Clearly Azula hadn't encountered a Sylveon before or she'd know what a terrible idea it was.
She snapped her fingers to send her dragon roaring into action, rushing forward and leaping into the air. A graceful spin led into his first and favorite attack, Dragon Tail!
no subject
Diana still tensed and took some steps back, not wanting to be caught up in a fight. Isla bristled at the discomfort of her trainer and opened her mouth, unleashing a Disarming Voice while the dragon was in mid air to send it flying back from where it came.
A simple attack to be sure, but still Fairy type and beefed up by Isla's insane level.
no subject
Meanwhile poor Minion. Their glowing tail snuffed out by the attack as it went tumbling head over heel through the air to crash on the ground.
no subject
The Sylveon draws itself up to its full height, tendrils now lashing fiercely as she opens her mouth again. A loud Hyper Voice is sent screeching out, attacking Azula's ears.
no subject
Minion tried to get back in the fight huffing with anger and embarrassment. Surely if it just threw itself with all it's anger at the pretty fairy type it might be able to land an uppercut right?
It was unfortunate perhaps that Azula's training was lost on Minion the more he fed into his own anger.
no subject
Seeing Minion prepare itself, Isla shifts a little to face him properly and Diana attempts to stand somewhat straighter and actually do some instructing. Though she can't help worrying looking at Azula since the girl had literally tried to jump at her.
This time, before anyone else can react there's a flash of light originating from Diana's bag and suddenly there stands the hulking form of a Luxray.
It roars loudly and fixes its angry red and golden eyes on Azula, sparking flying from its raised, black fur.
"Caine." Diana says, relieved. Now Isla can stay focus on the Pokemon while Caine defended her.
no subject
Slowly, and feeling her stomach knot she raises her eyes from the ground to find herself starring down some kind of lightning spirit made flesh and fur.
It was around this point Azula had to accept that she may have bitten off more then she could chew with this girl.
"How could a cowardly girl like you have something so...
so...
Magnificent!"
And she was being honest, Caine was by far the most impressive and attractive pokemon she'd seen yet. It appealed to her longing to have her own powers back.
She would either find a way to steal this one, or catch one of her own and make it ten times as strong!
no subject
Diana rolls her eyes. "Caine, is now really the time?"
He huffs and Isla presses herself to Diana's legs, still eyeing up Minion.
Diana sighs and pets the top of her Sylveon's head, looking at Azula. "Are we done now?"
no subject
She was trying to play it off as if she had already determined she would lose and for the most part her delivery was flawless, but you can't bullshit someone who's on your level in that department.
Unfortunately her pokemon was not on her level at all and pouted hanging it's head in defeat. Once again it had tried and failed to impress the princess. With narrow eyes it glared at Caine in jealousy.
"Consider yourself lucky, unless you're somehow responsible for how strong these creatures are. If that's the case you should be proud as well."
no subject
"For someone so battle thirsty you could at least look up basic stuff, you know? At least I had an excuse of not giving a shit when I started." A smirk. "You attacked my Fairy type with a Dragon type. And Isla's adorable, I know, but she's also got at least 80 levels of your guy."
Caine shakes his mane proudly while Diana huffs a little. "I mean, they're my Pokemon. I did a little work. Otherwise we wouldn't have won those Gym Battles."
