[He grins, though, watching the little guy try and help.]

Nah, they're always like that when they're small. They use it for the fire thing -- Like I said.

[At least this is one cat that actually likes him without him nearly dying.]

What about the ball it came out of.

[So he may not be thinking consciously about the 'this is a dream' scenario, which means he's going to ask a million questions about how it still doesn't make sense. But at least he's on his way.]

It's an easy mode of transport. You don't have to keep it in there, and a lot of people don't.

What does it eat?

Specialized food, for the most part. There's things like berries or treats. But they've all got their own special food.

Unless they're Kuro, and they occasionally eat hubcaps. Or chew on my arm.

[Just. Gonna give the big guy a LOOK.]

[So not people food and not just stuff he can find in the wild without knowing what it is first. Great. More stuff he'll have to remember.]
