[Yeah, and then he has to go pick it up. But Shiro's never led him wrong in the few years he's know him. So Keith gives it a little toss, blinking when there's a light and it opens and .... a little black and orange kitten is there.]

Uh. Shiro? Shiro? [He turns the camera to it, crying out for Keith because finally!! It's out of the ball!]

[He'll wait. And break out in one smug ass grin once the Litten shows up. Luna, the Meowth, perks up again, pawing at the screen and chirping. HELLO FRIEND HELLO!!]

[He's staring at it, even as it moves to him and starts trying to climb up his pant leg. He helps it up to sit on his lap and looks back to the communicator, hearing little chirps and Shiro you got a thing on you.]

I get it. I fell asleep in the shack and I'm just doing that lucid dreaming thing.

[Yes, he does have a thing on him. His therapy cat. There's another thing looming behind him. It's... big.]

[He doesn't look all that proud of it either. He looks down at the litten instead.] It's been almost a year.

You -- why didn't you tell me!

[He'll calm down in a moment. Just let him have this... moment. In a second, he'll know there wasn't time for that. There wasn't the time or the place, and so many more important things needed to happen.]

[He pushes a hand through his hair, exhaling.]

Never mind. Don't... answer that. It's done with.

I'm sorry.

[Man this is a weird dream.]

Don't be. This isn't real anyway, right?

[Even with how warm that animal is against him and how hungry he's starting to feel, he'll still firmly posit this is a dream and nothing else.]

We're out in the Sevii Islands. It's -- a ways away from where you ended up. So it might be a few days.

You should head north -- toward Cherrygrove. There's a place you can stay there.
