Pretty sure that's not a real thing.

[Then again he's seen a lot of stuff. So who knows.]

It is, trust me. A ton of bullshit red tape.

[Long pause.]

[This being the Pines family there is a 98% chance that official anything won't matter but he can try.]

Um, excuse, he is 16. What's Mabel? 8?

He stares at her, leaning just slightly away when she starts gossiping about the Slowpoke. What.. what was happening. Why was this happening.

"Miss Fancypan--what?"

Now he was completely keyed into what she was saying. He stares at her then grabs Potya up to hold her where Mabel could definitely see her and understand what he was about to half yell at her.

"Um, her name is Puma Tiger Scorpion! Or just Potya! Miss Fancypan--What even...You can't just..!!"

He said nothing about Mister Whiskerface.

[NETWORK]
[The camera flashes to... well. A young man with very intensely green eyes, and a broad grin. He bows to the camera with a little flourish, which ends up revealing the bored-looking green dog behind him. Sitting with its head cocked to one side.]

Greetings! A pleasure to meet the masses over the network. My name is Shadowmaru, independent Brave Police Unit 501.

[The electrike yawns.]

I must admit, I am confused as to my current situation. I am... unaccustomed to this current shape. It was never in any of my model plans.

[Which is hilarious, to maybe like six other people.]

Rest assured, should you have any information for me, I am more than happy to reciprocate.

"I TOLD YOU if I EVER see you near those Slowpoke again I'll SMASH YOU INTO PUDDING!"

So much for the serene peace of a tea party. Here comes a screaming red haired girl with a robotic arm and a massive Metagross that she's riding on, chasing three guys in matching black uniforms and big red Rs on their chests.

"She's crazy man!"

"Let's get out of here!"

"Every man for himself!"

The red haired girl notices the Tea Party just in time and throws herself off the Metagross to tackle one thug into the other two before they have a chance to trample on the guests. Unfortunately Metagross is really bad at sudden stops so he promptly skids and trips flattening the entire lot of them.

So that happened.

[OK, that actually is pretty funny. She'll offer a laugh.]

Alright Little How about the mystery of where your trainer went?

[This is the most she's ever played along with anything silly.]

You are so lucky you didn't say that to her face, mister!

Suddenly the Glameow is in her face and the handsome young man is telling her what it's actually name is and Mabel can't help but gasp, eyes going wide and yeah they are definitely sparkling as she slowly lifts her hands to her cheeks.

"Puma Tiger Scorpion?" she repeated, not even bothered by the fact that he had clearly been upset that she temporarily renamed his Pokemon. "That is the most amazing name I have ever heard in my entire life!"

He's not a pig, silly. How would Waddles Jr. make sense? And Star is lame, Dipper! That's so last year!

[She snorts at her own statement, grinning at her twin.]

I like Little Dipper so that's it's name!

He can't call dibs on a name our parents gave him!

[Well this is unexpected but Mabel isn't about to look a gift Pokemon in the mouth!]

Trainer? Do you mean the amazing and awesome Mabel Pines?

[Mabel wobbled her Minior around, biting her lip out of view to keep herself from giggling.]

Mabel isn't phased by the screaming, not like she probably should be. Honestly what sort of day would it be if there wasn't screaming and people running--

Oh. Right. This wasn't Gravity Falls.

The Slowpokes are ever so slow to respond but they attempt to get out of the way as Mabel hops to her feet and grabs Little Dipper out of the air, hugging him close just as the Metagross tries to stop, fails and flops over onto the group. She winces--"Ooh that had to hurt!"--before taking a few steps closer and bending down to try and see underneath the large Pokemon.

"...Are you okay under there?"

[That actually earns a snort out of Pacifica because...well she may consider them friends now but let's not push it.]

Amazing AND Awesome? I dunno...maybe we're thinking about a different Mabel Pines.

See the one I'm thinking of is goofy and weird, and everywhere she goes things get even more weird and usually louder and covered in glitter and stickers.

...also she can make sweaters out of like...thin air.

Yeah, that's right Potya really did have the most amazing name and she really was the most amazing Pokemon to exist in the world of ever and Mabel needed to understand that if she wanted to get along here in this world.

Yuri was.. distracted instead by the fact that Mabel actually liked Potya's full name. Usually people ... would make fun of him for that.

"Huh..? It is?" He lowers Potya down, the Glameow liquifying to get out of Yuri's hands and drop back. She had to go wash Pod's face.

"I mean, obviously it is. Clearly. And his names is Podlyy but I just call him Pod usually." He motions at Pod... well, he guessed Pod Whiskerface now.

I still say it's my name first so I have dibs. Little or not.

What if I named one of my pokemon Little Mabel.

"Help! Help us!"
" She's killed us! We're dying!"
"I'd like to go to the hospital now!"

The goons in the jump suits are groaning and moaning but the red haired girl is more aggressively growling and making anguished noises. The Metagross is flailing it's legs in the air trying to flip over.

"Fefe, return!"

It dissolves into glowing red light and leaves the four squashed trainers in the crater where it landed.

The Red head drags herself to her knees immediately, minus one arm while the goons are crawling the opposite way in a desperate attempt to get away from the crazy girl.

"T-thass what happenz when you mess with innocent pokemanz...jerks..."

Looks like the Red headed girl might need a moment to recover after all.

YES I CAN!

NO YOU CAN'T. Plus! Your name is Dipper! Minior's name is Little Dipper! It's different!

Uh, duh! I'd be honored! Oh my gosh, it has to be something a-mazing!

[Now she's just going to be a brat about it, Dipper.]

[And that gets a snort in return as Little Dipper is nudged to the side and Mabel leans in, squinting.]

I'm pretty sure that counts for awesome and amazing. Making sweaters is no easy feat, Pacifica!

It's the same! It's like Gideon and Little Gideon, he uses both.

And ...and you're just going to shorten it and call him Dipper anyway!

"Don't worry! We're on it!" Mabel says in a matter of fact manner before rounding on the Slowpokes as they attempt to scatter. "Citizens! Get help!"

Yeah. Good thing Gaige is able to recall her Pokemon.

Little Dipper let's out one of his strange noises and Mabel turns back towards the scene of the accident, eyes going wide at the sight of someone missing an arm.

"Whoa okay you are definitely missing an arm! Are you okay did one of those guys take it--HEY GIVE HER ARM BACK!" Mabel yelled, stomping her foot and throwing Little Dipper towards the group. The Minior just happily spun through the air, bobbing about as he caught himself and hovered above them. "Dazzling Gleam, Little Dipper!"

The Minior seemed to recognize that command and with a strange cry it hit the goons with a blast of bright, obnoxious light..and caught Gaige in the cross fire.

"..Oops."

[It's okay, he can be one in return.]

Fine. I'll just find the grossest pokemon out there. And then I'll name it Little Mabel.

Do you use Little Dipper? Is that what you want me to start calling you, Little Dipper?

[Do you really want to start having the height argument again?]

So? It's just a name, Dipper! Why are you getting so angry about it! He's a star and you have a star mark on your forehead! I named him after you because I missed you!

Well fine! I bet it'll be amazing no matter what! Because all Pokemon are amazing, Dipper!
