[The feed starts out pink. Very pink. Blindingly pink, actually. There's muffled giggling before the pink mass is pulled backwards and it becomes obvious what exactly it is--a Minior. There are hands holding it in front of the 'gear so the Pokemon's trainer is obviously there but apparently it's the Minior that's going to be doing the talking?]

Hello every body! My name is Dipper!

[The Minior is bobbed back and forth as the trainer speaks, the Pokemon looked delighted with the attention it's getting while it's trainer is trying hard not to dissolve into giggles. She--because despite the deeper voice she's trying to use it's obvious it's a girl--manages to contain herself, clearing her throat to keep going.]

I'm looking for mysteries because boy, I love mysteries! Mysteries mysteries!

[More bobbing and the Minior let's out a cheery noise that gets giggles out of it's trainers--"Dipper, shhh!"]

Anyone got a mystery they need solved? Call on me! I'm the Mystery Solver!

[The Minior is pulled backwards with a happy noise, the little girl appearing in full now as she giggle-snorts, hugging her Pokemon to her chest. Mabel grins cheekily, pressing her cheek to Dipper and nuzzling him.]

Who's the best detective ever? That's right! Little Dipper is!


[Action - Azalea Town]

Anyone wandering through Azalea Town will find themselves crossing paths with a young girl that is clearly very enthused by the sheer amount of Slowpoke inhabiting the town. So much so, in fact, that she's somehow managed to lure ten of them to her and is having a makeshift sort of tea party with them. Poffins are sitting before each one of her guests--and they're all slowing eating with those big dumb grins on their faces--while Dipper the Minior bobs about happily, floating around the party and genuinely just having the time of it's little life.

Mabel, meanwhile, is seated within the sort-of circle of Slowpoke, sweater sleeves pushed up to her elbows as she daintily sips from her water bottle.

"Oh yes, that sounds very exciting, Miss Knickbocker Puddingbot," she said with a sage-like nod, addressing one of the Slowpokes that had bits of Poffin all of it's snout. Mabel giggled, breaking her act, and reached over to gently brush off it's face. "For someone that eats so slow you sure are messy!"

Poffins. She smelled POFFINS.

A Glameow was sniffing around, tail bounding happily behind her as she seeks them out. Following her was a skinny Purrloin, trotting on all fours with nose sniffing at the air. Both their ears lifted when they noticed the tea party.

Poffins!

Both start trotting over. The Purrloin starts meowing loudly to get the girl's attention but the Glameow just shoulders her way in, sniffing at the poffins before starting to bite one. She growls at the Slowpoke she was robbing, paw pressing against it's face to push it away.

So much for the serene peace of a tea party. Here comes a screaming red haired girl with a robotic arm and a massive Metagross that she's riding on, chasing three guys in matching black uniforms and big red Rs on their chests.

"She's crazy man!"

"Let's get out of here!"

"Every man for himself!"

The red haired girl notices the Tea Party just in time and throws herself off the Metagross to tackle one thug into the other two before they have a chance to trample on the guests. Unfortunately Metagross is really bad at sudden stops so he promptly skids and trips flattening the entire lot of them.

So that happened.

I must admit, I am confused as to my current situation. I am... unaccustomed to this current shape. It was never in any of my model plans.

Hey! Hey you! [ So Network, you ever see those old ads for second hand car dealers or sham-wow style products? Cos this is sure to be a blast from the past if you remember those! Stan is wearing a winning smile, with his usual get-up and a staff with an eight ball at the top. ]

So, you're all looking for the greatest, rarest Pokemon, right? Well let me tell ya, I've found em! And I got them on display right here, at the Mystery Shack, just outside of Mahogany Town! Is that how it's pronounced? Ma-hog-ga-ny? Whatever.

Look here! We got this extremely weird Meowth! [ It's a common Meowth...with a dollar bill glued over it's coin. But it lifts it's paws adorably, playing up the cuteness. ] It's super lucky. Way luckier than the ones with spare change on their faces! This one brings home the real cash! And look at that face! Who can resist that face, huh?

You've all heard of them fancy Magikarp? Ya know, the big fish with pretty patterns and junk on them? They ain't nothing compared to THIS! [ It's a fish tank, containing a Magikarp! A golden Magikarp with a pearly white underbelly, like a koi fish. It's very pretty! ...but, it seems to be trailing glitter. ] Not only is this one of those, it's one of those shiny Pokemon things! That's like, double rarity right there! I could be tempted to sell him, but you better believe he's not going cheap! Call this number right now, or you're gonna miss out and some other schmuck is gonna get this beauty! Hurry hurry hurry!! [ The dollar bill Meowth popped up beside him, meowing insistently. HURRY HURRY HURRY! ]

Stan's doing some training today! And while he could just give them some orders and sit back...well he did that with some of his Pokemon. But with his Crabrawler, he was getting hands on with showing it a few things about punching.

"Right, here's how you do it. You hit hard. Then you build up yer speed. But how quickly you punch don't mean a thing if you're not hitting them hard! So let's go!" The Crabrawler punched it's fists together with a determined cry, mirroring Stan as he shadow-boxed. "C'mon, if I can do this so can you!" Stan swung a fist at one of the training dummies set up in their 'training grounds' (aka the yard), knocking it's sack-head clean off. The Crabrawler leaped up, copying the move and sending the target's body flying after the head.

"That's it!"

Who doesn't love a good show? Mabel sure loves a good show! And that's exactly why she's sitting nearby with her own cheering section while Stan and his Crabrawler train!

It might also be a good time for her to get some crafting done as well but hey! Nothing wrong with some multitasking!

Little Dipper is floating around as usual, carefree and content to just bob about like the world is all sunshine and rainbows, circling around Mabel like she's the sun that he must orbit. Mabel herself is seated on the ground giving the occasional cheer while also carefully covering the shell of her adorable new Turtwig with rhinestones. Said Turtwig was asleep. Dead asleep. Not a care in the world. Seriously she didn't care what Mabel did to her as long as she could nap.

"Go Grunkle Stan! Go Crabby Cakes! You can do it!" she cheered before pumping her fist and barking in an encouraging manner. (It's what people did during sports.) Beside her, a small, scraggly Meowth tried to mimic her, letting out a shrill meow that had Mabel giggling. "Good job, Tabby Puss!"

[Why is Dipper answering on the network if he's literally in the same house as Stan? ...WHO KNOWS. Anyway. Private because he's not that much of jerk to call Stan out in front of the potential customers/gullible people out there.]

Went to watch those Kimono Girls the other day. Really wasn't expecting a battle in the middle of a performance, but when in Johto I guess. [There's an amused little huff that passes for a laugh. He still can't believe this, all right?] Or maybe it's just a quick way to make a little more off of their audience.

[Nyx is just trying to fill the silence. While he can be social and outgoing with his friends, he's a serious guy deep down. This talking to a Gear is a little out of his usual comfort zone.]

I'm thinking of leaving the city in a day or two. So any suggestions on where to go next?

It's late afternoon and the weather isn't terrible. At least it's better than the arid region right outside of Insomnia. Make no mistake that Nyx doesn't entirely know how to deal with this recent development as of yet, even as he's taken to roaming around. The battles fought are for fun and he isn't even the one participating. There isn't an enemy for him to focus on. No job. No duty. It's quite an adjustment. There's no magic either and while that also throws him off balance, it's not like he can't live without it. A purpose, on the other hand is entirely different.

Right now he's near the lake, on the ground with his back against a tree. There's a drowsy Espeon on his lap, pleased from the idle scritches Nyx is providing her with. A Luxio and Riolu are by the water, playing with a Gredninja. Scyther, however, seems perfectly content to just stand guard.

It's peaceful. Nyx doesn't really know what to do with peaceful.

Yeah well, that peaceful feeling isn't going to last for long, Nyx.

A loud roar would break the calm silence of the afternoon as a Tyranitar comes crashing to the ground not far from where Nyx and his Pokemon have settled down, a Bewear on top of the larger Pokemon pulling some sort of wrestling choke hold on her? There's thunderous stomping before the Bewear is headbutted off the Tyranitar by a Tyrantrum who proceeds to stomp her feet and give a victory roar that is quickly cut short as the Tyranitar hauls herself up to grab the other in a choke-hold.

Wrestling match anyone?

An obnoxiously green Espeon darts over near where Nyx is, tail flicking about as the jewel on it's head glows softly while it dips into a play bow.

"Noct is going to be so mad at you guys!" he called out flexing his toes then hopping upright and turning on Nyx. "Sorry about them--you may want to leave though, Mr. Guy!"

[The view on the 'gear is zooming all over the place, a sickening blur of color and shape, and there are varying levels of noise--shouting--as it gets closer and farther away from the source.]

Give it back you shitty dragon! I don't wanna do this again! I'm not gonna give you extra snacks anymore if you're gonna take my shit like this!

[The 'gear moves around in a motion-sickness-inducing fashion for a little longer before finally it falls, and a view of a blue sky and a Druddigon's face from above before it scampers away. And then it's picked up, and a grouchy face topped with blonde hair that somehow manages to look sharp comes into view, and the owner of the face lets out a colorful stream of curse words.]

And of course it's recording! Ugh, how did you even do this? You don't have thumbs you big idiot!




[Action- Cherrygrove City]

[After so many long days of traveling, Bakugou is exhausted. He's been too stubborn thusfar to ride on his Druddigon's back, and so he's more than a little weary by this point. It's more than a little disorienting to be in a place like this; no opponents for him, only for the creatures. He's not really sure what to do with himself now that pushing his own physical strength to the limit isn't something that seems to matter as much as back home. Not to mention that he doesn't know anyone here...not that he's ever been particularly social to begin with. But it was nice to have that familiarity before!

Wandering aimlessly through the tranquil street, Bakugou takes in the sight of inns and places that seem to be geared toward travelers. Glancing at his Druddigon, he sighs heavily]

What do you think? This place seem too quiet to you, too? Almost feels like an ambush waiting to happen. I hope I get to kick a few asses. It's been way too long since I got a real challenge!

[Anyone traveling through Cherrygrove City will find him muttering to his Pokemon and trying to piece together some kind of future game plan.]

The critters in the scene are a disinterested-looking Doduo and a fidgety Farfetch'd. The Farfetched sits on the pillow twirling her leek while the Doduo squabbles with itself over one of the fake flowers.]

[As if to answer her question the Wimpod stops, showing off the fruits of its labor: a nice and shiny seashell. The camera holder gasps and reaches out to take it, eventually turning the camera on herself--surprise, it's Xion. She seems...well, quite healthy for having been gone and as of a few days ago very dead and in oblivion. Happy, even, as she turns her gaze back to the camera with a smile.]

Uh--hey! I'm back. I guess I forgot to say anything. It doesn't really matter much, right? [Click click click says Zoomba.] Yeah, I know, we need to find more shells right away. Don't worry, Zoomba!

[Xion can be found on any route or any place that there's water, of course. She'll be fishing or watching her Wimpod skitter around trying to figure out of it should swim or not. It's all very peaceful, and they both look content Gross.]

i just got here so i don't know where a good store is. someone on the route i was traveling on mentioned trying to get to Goldenrod? i guess that's a major city to check out...

[The camera of the Pokegear shows the start of Route 29, somewhat shaky, until the girl holding the Pokegear finally figures out how to get it to work.]

...Haven't had a cell phone in a long time. This thing should be on now.

[She doesn't stay in the camera frame long, pointing the Gear at a Rhyhorn who's sniffing the ground curiously. Madeline finally manages to speak up after a moment of silence.]

So...Does anyone else find this place weird? Pokemon are just part of a video game where I'm from, so waking up and finding this big guy staring at me wasn't exactly something I planned for.

[Rhyhorn snuffs, looking at Madeline who's hiding behind the gear camera. He's real and not fictional, thank you very much.]

While I've got this thing running: are there any good places to visit? Any good climbing spots? I guess if I'm stuck here, I should see the world... [She turns off the gear after that.]

[Action]

[Madeline can be found on any route, trying to rush towards a large tree or body of land, attempting to climb onto it. Clearly the world doesn't want her doing this, even if she has experience climbing, as she slides and falls back to the ground.]

...Guess I don't have any powers here.

[Rhyhorn watches, but every time Madeline fails, he walks over to her and nudges her lightly with his horn.]

At least I have you here, Rhyhorn. [She manages a smile and pats the Rock Pokemon gently on his scaled back.]

Okay, this isn't the ghost dimension, or a demon world, or hell. It's way too pretty here. Of course he's confused as to why he's here, and why this little floating thing (a solosis) is here and following him. At least it seems harmless, in fact helpful- and, okay, it's like a really cute version of Slimer.

He has dubbed it Squashy.

But there they go, he and Squashy are wandering, digging through the grass as someone who has no clue how to battle, looking for other pokemon to pick up and mess with.

He may have just gotten himself bitten on the hand by a ratata. Why, strange purple rat. Why. He has stumbled right back onto the path as the pokemon skitters away, holding his bleeding hand and being circled by his little green friend.

"Ow-"

Well, time to find a hospital so he doesn't have rabies. He barely notices the person he's fallen in front of, standing up and brushing off his pants with one hand before he notices the path he's blocking. "Oh- I'm sorry."

[That sure is a bleeding man who has fallen in front of him. A sight Boone isn't particularly surprised to see, if only because he's used to that kind of thing back home.]
