Anthy Himemiya | Revolutionary Girl Utena
[The weight of one of the creatures she'd been given by the "Rockets" (Aipom, they said it was) is much heavier than Chuchu, of course, but that didn't stop Anthy from likening them immediately. He sits patiently on one shoulder, his tail draped over the other, as the second creature (Vulpix, she's sure it's called) trots right at her heels. Not that Anthy's moving fast, by the way, she's taking her time walking along the sidewalk, stopping at most of the storefronts to peer into them. Perhaps you've been walking behind her and are getting annoyed with how slow she's been, and how, by coincidence, there's been no way to get around her. Or maybe you're in the store she's looking into, and you lock eyes with her - if so, she gives you a smile and a wave. Either way, you run into this strange, quiet young lady. What do?]
[There's a slow panning shot of a bushy part of the park, where not a lot of people go rooting around for bug Pokemon in, and a soft gasp can be heard when the feed stops on a bush in bloom. The quiet crunch of light footsteps on winter grass brings the view closer, and a hand appears to tilt up a white flower.]
Oh...this is hellebore, isn't it?
[The voice is even, and the words inflected like they should be disappointed, but the tone is more of vague surprise.]
I had hoped it was a rose...but it's not quite time for a real rose to bloom, is it? [The hand strays to another flower, not yet open.] I'm surprised they let these grow in a public park. Hellebore is supposed to be poisonous...hm?
[The hand has strayed from the flowers to an odd, light green bulb, lighter in color than the surrounding foliage. With the care of someone who has spent time working with delicate flowers, the hand goes to cup the side of the bulb, only for it to push forward, a Budew emerging.]
Oh - !
[The Poke'gear falls to the ground in a clatter, turning off as it catches a glimpse of Anthy's wide-eyed, genuinely surprised expression.]
[Oh my. The surprise goes both ways, as Rakka watches everything tumble around before finally ending.
Who knew people could be surprised by flowers, huh?]
Um, is everything alright?
I...think so?
[You don't sound so sure, Anthy.]
I must have wandered into these creatures' home. This part of the park isn't very busy, so maybe they came to live here for the peace and quiet.
[Well. That's something then. No sooner had Rakka started to worry about whoever wasn't replying to their gear, did this reply come in... and what a reply it was. Although, after a moment of just watching, she can't stop herself from letting out a few short giggles.]
I-I think you did. Don't worry about it, grass type pokemon usually don't want to hurt you.
[...usually. unless there's poison involved.]
They like to live in parks around flowers. I think, uh... it's good for them somehow.
That makes a lot of sense. If they're more inclined to be like plants, then they might need some of the same things plants need to survive. [She pats the bud of the Budew in her lap carefully, and it smiles, scrunching its eyes.] But did you know that it's good to talk to plants, too? I wonder why these would hide away instead of find people to talk to them.
She nods thoughtfully.] I do! I learned about that back when... [It was back in her own world, on any other nice and sunny day. The thought sours her expression for a few seconds.] ...Uh. I think... it's because some pokemon are shy. Especially when it's little pokemon like that.
I guess that makes sense. But why wouldn't they run from me, too?
[They are doing the opposite of running and rubbing up against her instead. That Aipom on her head looks more worried by the second.]
Maybe you're just really good with plants?
[She brightens, eyes closed so you can't see how that brightness doesn't reach her eyes.]
I am good with plants! I take care of the garden at my school, and it's very lovely!
Re: [Video]
[And here she thought she was just pulling that thought out of... ahem.]
Then I wonder what kind of flowers might bloom from these Pokemon. They wouldn't have buds unless they were meant to bloom. Do you know?

[Not that most of these little pokemon creatures seem very dangerous. Still, it is better to check.
Utena's Honedge pushes against her, as if trying to see what is going on, and with a soft huff, Utena elbows him --gently, mind-- out of the way.]
What was that? It looked like some sort of flower.
no subject
I'm fine, Miss Utena! I think they are some sort of flower. This one in particular is very friendly. [She holds up the first one, the one in her lap. The likelihood that she'll be catching it isn't even a likelihood, it's a certainty.]
Isn't this place wonderful? There's so many nice little animals, and now there's ones that are plants.
no subject
Well, I guess if you can have animals like this [She nods at her Honedge for a moment. It's not that she doesn't like him, she just isn't sure how a sword, even a sentient one, qualifies as an animal.] I guess that isn't so weird.
[She smiles a little.]
It looks pretty friendly.
[Of course Anthy will be keeping it. It's harder to convince her not to keep some kind of animal, and at least this one looks pretty cute.]
no subject
It really does! Have you made any more animal friends, Miss Utena?
no subject
[Utena reaches for one of her pokeballs, releasing a rather intimidating looking Luxio onto the field. The cat-like pokemon glances from Utena (a somewhat familiar face) to Anthy (unfamiliar) to the budew lap (also unfamiliar, but probably not a threat), holding her ground. There is something regal in her bearing. Regal and wary.]
I'm working on getting her to trust me. She still needs a name though.
no subject
Maybe you just need to spend a little more time together. How does she act most of the time? [She points to the Aipom on her head.] Junior reminds me so much of Chuchu - that's why he's Junior Chuchu.
[Not even Chuchu Jr, just. Junior Chuchu.]
[ Action ]
"Hey, wait up Danny!" He shouted, touching Anthy's shoulder and smiling apologetically to her. "Sorry, mind if I get past to nab him?"
[Action]
...Oh - no, I don't mind. Go ahead.
[And she steps back, clearing the way for him to go past. She looks...a little lost, actually, as if she hadn't noticed anyone had been behind her, or that anything had tried to get past until her Vulpix reacted. When the little fox comes to her feet, she scoops it up in her arms, holding it with care. Her Aipom regards their partner sadly in Anthy's stead.
Said to the Vulpix,] Are you alright? What happened, hm?
no subject
"Ah damn - he didn't hurt your one, did he?"
no subject
Mm...no, I don't think so. She's just a little scared. [Anthy begins to pet her slowly, from the back of her head to the base of her shoulder blades.] But thank you for asking.

Danny looked between Ash and Henriette before shamefully holding his hands together and apologising to her. Ash smiled and pat Danny's head. "Good!" The trainer straightened and turned his smile to Anthy. All better!
no subject
It's okay. After all, it was an accident.
