The last one was in June, and with it rolling into September (and maybe spoopy plans in the future) it seems we're about due for making some new CR/friends!

This form has a special (optional) addition for interactions with Rockets written up by our own Armin-mun (snagged with her permission). You don't have to fill it out, but for Rockets that want something to work with it could be helpful!

Cliffnotes: Cheerfully perky permanently optimistic lady who happens to be Death in her own world, yes really. Lowkey sad sometimes but hides it well, loves taking care of people and is happiest when doing that. Also adopts kids without even realizing it. Botan runs a sweets shop in Goldenrod called Honeyed Soul which often makes deliveries and is looking for workers of all types! Botan is also an active breeder, her post about that can be found here.
Looking for: Friends are nice, she likes friends. I'm generally up for everything with Botan, she's very flexible

Any Rocket characters coming after Botan for...whatever reason might find themselves being killed with kindness 'cause she would argue why try to steal her Pokemon when she freely gives eggs (literally for free). And also dear you look skinny here have something to eat.

Xion is generally reserved but always willing to give a helping hand and share with other people. She's sensitive to manmade Pokemon since she's...well. A clone herself. Hellbent on burning down Silph to get her Null back. You thought I was kidding about the clone thing, no, I wasn't she was literally a doll made for plot reasons also don't call her poppet. In text posts she spells her name "Shion" even though she's likely still listed as "Xion" the X is very important in canon and signifies ownership to her, I am also not kidding about that.

Has equally serious abandonment issues and is a child soldier BECAUSE TEACHING KIDS TO HUNT AND KILL IS FUN, RIGHT GUYS (trauma related to that might come up but only very rarely and through her actions rather than words)? She's the type of person that needs something to DO (or else she'll just read all day and neglect everything else). Maka is my babbiest character at 14.

She'd really like to go try for one more badge before the cold sets in, but we'll see if she gets the motivation to travel.
Looking for: I'm actually thinking about opening up Homestuck House to boarders/roommates! Since Jane's living there on her own, I think she'd be more than eager to not be alone, so if players are traveling through Goldenrod and need a place to stay for a while that's not an inn or a Pokemon Center, she can guarantee hot, tasty meals and cozy beds. I'll try to get a post up at the beginning of September for her to start asking around if anyone is interested IC, but if you are interested OOC then please let me know!

She'll be unconsious until SEPT 3RD, but for now, she just placed 3rd overall in the Pokemon Contest, which is pretty amazing in her eyes, and she's beginning to rethink her relationship with her Octillery, which is a big step forward.
Looking for: I would very much like for Thida to have roommates! She, like Jane, ended up with an empty house in Goldenrod and it'd be better if it was full rather than empty.

Starting a few years back, Heather started taking her career as a Pokemon trainer seriously. She's pretty well-known in the Goldenrod "scene" since that's where she's settled down whenever she's not traveling. Still has a taste for mischief and (when warranted) destruction, she's just not an edgy teen about it anymore. Will still proudly describe herself as an "edgy twenty-something" instead. Works part-time at the circus as a trick-rider.
Looking for: I know saying "open for anything" isn't helpful, but she really is. Heather's good for found-family CR-- at this point in her life, she makes a great "cool big sister" who can both be a shoulder to cry on but also be like "hey. watch this" right before backflipping off of something. She's also still a brat though so negative CR is also A-OK. Given that she's about to be on the road for potentially SEVERAL WEEKS, most of her interactions will be through the 'Gear for awhile.

Cliffnotes: Angel's been away from Pandora (AKA dead) for two years now, give or take a few months of being out of the game. In that time, she's grown quite a bit. She loves making friends and exploring, and she's gotten a lot more confident in her own independence. She's also never too far from Krieg, so if your character has gotten to know him of late, there's a perfect in to talk to Angel right there.

She has a relatively amicable relationship with Jack, at least as long as she stays as far away from him as possible. If you're in his cabal, she might be a little bit wary of you.

Looking for: Give Angel more friends! But also, anyone who's willing to possibly argue with her about Jack because he's been pretty good about currying favor here in the Poke-World. People that are willing to teach her or take her under their wing would be great too.

He's a 71 year old with twelve phds and an unfairly good physique from spending the last 30 years trying to not die on alien planets. He's also a silly dweeb who collects malformed jellybeans and plays tabletop games. Most recently he got his final gym badge and he's getting ready to face the Elite Four. He's also something of a meme on the pokenet. Ask anyone for their Ninetales Guy macros.
Looking for: Honestly Ford is good for so much. He can be a mentor, he can be a foil, he can be a workout buddy, he can argue with you about how Pokemon work (he has a lot of theories). If you're looking for negative CR, he can be Petty and boy can he hold a grudge. I'd also love more battles for him, friendly or not! And don't worry, I love it when he loses.

Cliffnotes: Matt was a space adventurer... and then he took a Shiro to the knee. No, really. His best friend saved him from a gladiator arena by slashing his knee. Now, at home, he's one of the leaders of the rebel forces, but in his heart, he will always be a space travel and space exploration nerd.

Here, though, Matt has mostly taken over the observatory on the Sevii Islands. He can be found there most nights, giving stargazing presentations, or little quasi-informal talks about space. During the day, he's doing research in the observatory's archives, but he can be easily pulled away to talk to people about space or space pokemon.

Looking for: Matt needs more friends. He has his sister, his boyfriend, and all of his sister's team in their beach house, but he needs to branch out more. Anyone wanting to befriend this space nerd is aok. I have no idea why anyone would want to be a rival to this dork, but I'd be open to that as well!

Cliffnotes: Armin's defining feature is his boundless curiosity and drive to learn. Even when hailing from a world where such things were outlawed, Armin still relentlessly pursued his passions. However, while analytical and intelligent, Armin's physical skills have always been lacking which left him with some self-esteem issues. Though he has been working on that, he'll also be the first to play down his own achievements. Coming from such a harsh world has left its marks on Armin: not only has he witnessed three massacres, but he has been in the army since he was twelve (he'll be turning 18 in November), and has been known to hold uncompromising beliefs (such as the belief that sometimes you need monsters to fight monsters). While kind and emphatic, Armin isn't much of a social butterfly and can get awkward around new people. Armin is also a thoughtful person, so don't expect rash actions or words from him. He's the type to always carefully think over what he wants to do and say, which can lead to critical cases of overthinking things and keeping a lot of his thoughts close to his chest.

This September marks Armin's two year anniversary here in VR and also another big change: he'll stop being a trainer and start being a breeder! Not that he will be a very frequent breeder. (It's mainly for the Lapras Project, really) He's still primarily interested in research. In fact, he is still working for the Marine Research Centre on the Sevii Islands. He's also recently bought a laptop and is going to start following some online classes because he hopes to enter poke-university some day. Another thing Armin spends a lot of time on is the Lapras Breeding Project he inherited from Newt. Currently, he's the happy owner of eleven (11) Lapras. He doesn't have any concrete plans for releasing any of them yet, but he'll start working on that, cause he sure ain't gonna do that on the fly.

Looking for: Really open to anything. Now that Armin is going to be a breeder proper, some more breeding related friendships with people would be great. Hook him up into that Network. Also, man, if anyone got any experience with research or animal conservation, that'd be something he'd be very down to talk about. Actually, he'll gladly learn about anything new you can introduce him too. He's very big on travelling and learning about new natural sights and animals. So any characters who did a lot of that back home is going to find him very interested. I'm still hoping to nudge him into cleaning up the Sevii Island reef guide he wrote for Newt Scamander's birthday and publish it for everybody to see, but that is more of a long-term plan. BUT ALSO, hook me up with any just normal teenage shenanigans. Poor kid never got any of those back home, and he won't understand some of them, but that's half the fun.

Also, related to his Lapras, I might have him start looking into some sort of GPS trackers for the Lapras he intends to release, so he can track their progress. So, anyone who has the skills for that, plz help him.

Cliffnotes: A genuinely nice (and charismatic) young man with a troubled past and the issues that go with it. His time in Johto has definitely affected him quite a bit (in a good way!) which means he's far more open to people now, rather than being highly closed off under a friendly facade like he used to be. He both dreads inevitably returning to his world and the problems he has to deal with there, and feels that he has to go back or he'd never be able to live with himself, so he's quite determined to make the most of his time here while it lasts!
Looking for: I'm good with just about anything! He can always use more friends though, he loves to help people/make sure they're happy.

Cliffnotes: Newt is a kid from the Alien franchise so she has seen some things. She is also adapt at surviving, hiding and hiding to survive. She’s getting to know people more and is starting to trust that this world won't kill everyone on her. Which is important because she's making friends now, outside her pokemon group/let's be real here - family.

Her over arching goal is to get all the badges because she feels it will make her safer here, based on things people have told her in the past. She's also been doing the scavenger hunt because it seemed like fun.

Newt has a fear of eggs and can’t look after them herself and also is afraid of most bug pokemon or anything that resembles any stage of a Xenomorph. She’s alarmingly upfront about a lot of stuff that happened to her, so. Everyone died, is a normal response to asking what her home was like. The private, emotional stuff is what she keeps to herself. Everything else is just facts.

Also Newt is seven.

Looking for: Anyone who wants to adopt a child from a horror movie. Severe baggage included. So family like characters. People who will not treat her like a kid are best if you want to get her to like you more.

I’d like at some point for her to actually have to come to terms with her grief and complicated issues on her families death and her seeing two of them as betrayals. So, people getting close enough, so that this can be discussed (someone help her) would be nice.

She likes learning new things so anyone willing to teach her stuff. Any kids her age or close to her age to befriend are always welcome as well. Friends are nice.

Dark and troubled past stemming from the cursed eyes he was born with and the (literal) stigma surrounding them, though closing in on eight years in Pokemon Land have started (started) to teach him how to actually have some iota of motivation, not that he has any idea how to make use of it.

Cliffnotes: VR's resident crazy man grows significantly less crazy the longer he's here. He's far less likely to scream about blood orgies and nipple salads now than he was two years ago, which is probably a good thing! Spending time with normal people ("normal" is defined here as a person or group of persons who do not and have not ever made their living carving a bloody swath of death and chaos across an entire planet. What? Borderlands is an FPS, it's built into the gameplay!) has really improved his diction and his self-expression.

He spends a lot of time every day training with his Pokemon...literally, he's up in their grills, punching, kicking, and throwing down. It keeps him in shape, and is pretty good exercise for his 'Mons, too.
TLDR: For anyone curious about the nitty-gritty that makes this guy tick
Looking for: Friendship! Always friendship! I think I mentioned this on the last CR meme, I'm always down for new CR but I also hesitate to throw this asshole at players I don't know because he can be kind of off-putting and I don't want to surprise anyone with that.

Cliffnotes: Local college grad went to space to study ice, got abducted, became a dorito-shaped walking PTSD machine, came back to Earth, met and adopted a bunch of teenagers and then became the literal head of the universe's last defense against evil space furries. Also there was a lot of shit with space gladiators and science experiments. His life was pretty terrible, to be honest.

Looking for: He has an alarming tendency to adopt people. Or just fork out advice, to try and help wherever he goes. He's working on collecting the Gym Badges, and just got the Mineral Badge from Olivine. I'm open to friendships and rivalries both! He's super into space, and currently living in the Sevii Islands. Stargazing is definitely a hobby of his. It's him, your new dad. He's dating the current curator of the observatory, and may or may not start journeying again once a castmate wakes back up.

He can't cook to save his life, though.
