[ She tips her head forward in a nod at his answer, filing away the information, as her dex doesn't have it. ]

Academia, you say?

[ She can see a certain sense in that, if only for what sounds like a fairly literal name and a society that supports what the name indicates. ]

It might be the same. My experiences where I'm from would say otherwise, but I don't know how information is traded here. Libraries at least usually hold on to public records that might have been forgotten, if research of that kind ends up useful.

[Welcome to Final Fantasy. Where things are named in the literal sense.]

Yes, that's how it used to be on my world but it changed and if it's even a little similar here, I would be able to rest easy.

[Still, a library would be the first to go. In any case.]

That's pretty much my goal right now. What about you, if you don't mind my asking?

It's a good question. What's her goal, here? She glances up, not quite skyward, since she won't fully take her eyes off him, but enough to show the bulk of her attention is again elsewhere, studying an atmosphere that has no answers for her, and never has.
]

I don't know. I want to say understanding what I can in order to dictate when I go home. Or be patient, and be sent back whenever I am.

[ She lifts her shoulders in a negligible shrug, one hand curling around the strap of her pack. There's only one other thing she can do to be still meeting her father's request. ]

Goals, then... Living. In whatever way's easiest, without being remarkable.

[ She's such an upper, really. ]
