[ Romelle jumps and turns around to face the mysterious gift-giver. She's wide-eyed and frazzled but the friendly smile eases her nerves a little. There's nothing to do but take the advice, especially since the girl seems to know what she's talking about.

(Her Growlithe, meanwhile, noses up to the larger Pokémon before taking his own playful stance. His trainer seems okay, but he's always ready to leap into action if he must.)

Romelle inches forward, holding the berry high above her head for the Pidgey to grab. Her eyes are closed and she's bracing herself in case it doesn't work. But the Pidgey swoops in, grabs the berry, and flies away. Romelle lets out a sigh and turns to Sasha. ]
