[He bites back a sarcastic remark about television and propaganda. It's not like that's ever been a issue in their lifetime. Ever.]

Hard to imagine these little guys fighting though. It's not like watching some of the fights we saw when we reached Pulse.

Gran Pulse. [His only remark to elude to their other one-time companions.]

Figured she'd had help from her new god, being the Savior and all. Nice to see that Bhunivelze did something useful in the midst of all the rest of the crap.

I didn't want to be useful to him, Snow.

[Except he did, because it meant being at Lightning's side. But he had also been just a tool to be used and discarded. Had he nod been saved by Lightning, he would have been Bhunivelze's vessel. He was prepared to fade away, but he was sad to be gone.

He just had to remember that he wasn't anymore. He closed his eyes, they burned as he turned to scoop up his Pokemon into his arms.]

There's a lot you don't know.

I never said you did, Hope.

[Because no one in their right mind would have agreed to Bhunivelze just taking them from their life and being reverted to... this. No one sane. And while he's pretty sure that the span of time he's lived while not really living has done a number on him, he's still not crazy.

Not by a long shot.

Look, there's a lot I don't know, sure, but I've had time to learn a lot too. Five centuries worth of time.

[It was tough to think about now. When he didn't have his emotions, it was easier. Of course it was. But he also wasn't himself.

Now that he was, he sort of felt like the teenager he was so long ago, unable to control his emotions or unsure what to do about them. It's been so long. His breath shuddered.]

[Snow takes a step forward and puts his hand on Hope's head in a familiar gesture. The Vulpix comes over and places its paws on the smaller man's legs and lets out a soft mewling sound of sympathy.]

That Light will always show up when she's ready. And that you can only help people who want to be helped.

[A familiar gesture that only emphasizes how everything has changed. He didn't want to be 14, he didn't, but what could he do about it? Nothing was going to change that.

He sighed. He didn't have the heart to shove the hand away, instead looking up at Snow.]

I don't think Light's coming this time. If she does, it's not her doing.

[He musses Hope's hair before removing his hand to pick up the Vulpix. It's supposed to be his 'partner', right? Might as well get used to it.]

Yeah, well, nothing new there, is it? [He nods his head at Hope's Pokemon.] You've been here a while now, right? What've you been doing the whole time?

[He grunts when his hair is mussed up and he reaches up to try and fix it, until Minccino decided to go back on his hair and he sighed.]

Exploring. Made it to a group of islands called Sevii Islands to witness a Minior shower, but now I'm exploring the regions. I want to see what this world has to offer while I'm here.

[Look, you're going to have to get used to not having perfect hair all the time because now he's back. He thinks. Besides, signs of affection are still awkward for him after so long. And the Pokemon looks pretty comfortable there.]

No clue what a Minior is, but exploring places is interesting. So long as you're not running for your life. I'm guessing there's some town nearby, right? Or is it all about tromping through the wild with this weird music in the background?

[Hope pulled out his PokeGear and pulled out the video he recorded. It looked very much like a normal meteor shower, except the meteors that landed turned out to be very colorful little rock pokemon. One of every color of the rainbow, really. Hope studied a few, but didn't take any home. He handed the Gear to Snow.]

Some Pokemon can be dangerous, the ones in the wild anyway. So there's always a chance, but it doesn't sound terribly common given they let kids my age run around unaccompanied. [The only time he would refer to his physical age.] The music follows you even into towns. You'll get used to it very quick.

[Snow looks down to watch the video and takes the Gear when it's offered. It reminds him of the best parts of the fireworks in Yusnaan's constant revelries.]

Those are sort of cute. Reminds me of pot cats a bit.

[At the comment of it being dangerous, the corner of Snow's mouth go up in a wry smile.]

Well, it's good to know that kids can walk around without a lot of danger. It'll be a nice change. [Even in his own town, no one was safe without a lot of work. Not being able to age was not the same as not being able to die.] If I can get used to the cheering, this music isn't so bad.

In any case, we should figure out where to go from here. I've just been exploring, but I have no desire to battle in the gyms. You might like it though.
