[The weirdness with his mouth and face are interesting, but he's just. Not going to mention it. He's seen weirder. His closest friend in this world has a mask that moves with his face.]

New Bark

[By now, this routine has gotten a little... old. She recognizes the music, even remembers the smell of the bedroom that isn't hers. There's even a Pokemon by her bed, waiting patiently for her to wake. She offers the creature a small smile -- this icy little thing with scattered spines isn't anything she recognizes, but there are so many creatures in this world that she knows it isn't so strange.]

[She moves quickly, with the sort of confidence of someone who has done this song and dance plenty of times over. She greets "Mom" with a wide smile -- she's glad to see that the woman is still doing well -- and then quickly makes her way out of the door.

She's got a lot of ground to cover if she wants to find her friends, and that's assuming they'll still be there. Nevertheless, she's never once hesitated to lend a hand. And if she spots any straggling newcomers, they will be approached with a careful smile. If they're not too tall, she'll even offer a ginger touch to the shoulder.]

Don't worry. It's strange, but you're safe here. I promise.

[All things considered, Angel is almost hesitant to make a post. This world has been so finicky with allowing her to stay in one place, that she almost doesn't dare risk getting any of her friends too excited.

But even if her disappearance has only been but a blink of an eye for her, she still misses her loved ones dearly.]

Diego nods and opens his own pack, starting to sort through things he had, setting aside what he could see that Jonathan also had. He frowned for a moment as he pulled out his own sleeping bag, and even giving it a sniff. "I'd almost call it a bedroll with an oil canvas cover... except it is far too light for that, and smells nothing like one." He admits. "But I think we can both agree it appears to be some kind of bedding." Setting the bag aside with some gentleness he reached back into his bag and pulls out an odd looking thing... his PokéGear.

"What do you think this item is?" he asks, looking to Jonathan as he turns it over in his hands, looking for any sign of what it was or did. He manages to press one of the buttons and receive a cheerful sound in response, which makes him hold it further at arms length, as if it might suddenly become dangerous. "What in heaven's name-?"

[The man makes an angry sound, can be heard heading back toward the device, his face showing in the camera from upside down.]

Are you inside this thing?

[His voice seems to have dropped into a dangerously flat state, no longer the red hot fury, but now an icy anger.]

That's probably as close as you're going to get, [Steven admits. Since Diego can't see him, he also can't see how he flinches a little at Digeo's tone.]

On the plus side, this city is so much like where he grew up that he's acclimating pretty well, all things considered. And his Pokemon are pretty neat. He was a Pokemon kid as a kid.

Houndour and Natu aren't the ones he would have picked personally, but they're what he's got now. The Natu sits on his shoulder, watching him kneel and pat the Houndour that barks happily at him ruffling up its face and smooshing its cheeks up in a big scrunched up smile, before Tyler lets go and stands up straight, and makes a hand gesture at the canid Pokemon.

To which the dog sits.

A new gesture, and the dog stands.

Finger guns, and Houndour barks loudly as it lets out a burst of fire, and Tyler stumbles back in surprise. He's gotta get used to that.

Oddly, though, if anyone should try and call out to the trio, Tyler doesn't immediately respond; not until the Houndour or the Natu swivel sharply around to fix their sharp gazes on the source of the noise.
