Kazuki is watching from a distance, slurping noisily at a cup of boba tea. He's never seen a Rocket (total assumption) that big, just standing out in the open like nothing was the matter. Was he new, or just really confident? Kazuki wouldn't put it past him, he had shoulders wider than a refrigerator.

His Raboot and Yamper were with him-- Pele had his own cup of Berry Juice, and Wiggles had a Pokeball shaped squeaky toy in his mouth. He squeaked on it relentlessly, but Kazuki was so used to that he didn't even register it anymore. Pele glanced up at Kazuki as if to say, What in the world do they feed that guy?

How uncouth, to simply assume Bane is a Rocket! It's not wrong, but definitely uncouth. Giant dudes with tubes in the back of their heads and luchador masks can be heroes too, you know!

The slurping just so happens to fall between Bane's serious discussion with his Machop, and catches his attention. He turns his head--and most of his upper body, look, being super buff sometimes means sacrificing neck mobility--and spots Kazuki. His eyes light up when he spots the bubble tea, and he straightens to his full, looming height and starts swaggering over. Goon the Machop follows in his wake.

"Is that a bubble tea?" Of course it is, even Bane knows that, and while he's not a bubble tea fan, exactly, he knows that places which make bubble tea often make smoothies as well. "Where can I find one for myself?"

Both Kazuki and his Pokemon take a startled half-jump as the hulking man suddenly targets them, and Kazuki looks frantically for some kind of escape route... Even though he's in the middle of a rather open street. But he can't find any excuse to flee, so he comes to a terrified halt, his fingers itching to grab one of this Pokeballs and throw out one of this level 100s.

What Bane actually approached him for is so unexpected that it doesn't even register at first. His mouth hangs open for a moment, and Pele stomps on his foot to get him to snap out of it.

"O-oh! They, uh, sell it right over there--" he points a shaking finger at a building with a Bouncesweet on the sign over the door. "They've got all kinds of drinks."

Bane waits patiently for Kazuki to snap out of it; he's gotten this reaction before, and some of the Legion of Doom are prone to just zoning out for awhile before interacting, so it's fine. Maybe Kazuki is assessing his power levels or something.

"Excellent!" Bane reaches over to take Kazuki's arm, hopefully not jostling him too badly. "We shall go! I demand razzmatazz!"

And the barista better spell his name right on the cup, or there will be a reckoning to deal with!

While Kazuki is a fairly athletic young man, he can't compete with biceps the size of tree trunks. He lets out an undignified yelp as Bane manhandles him in the direction of the drink shop, but his Pokemon don't seem particularly concerned. Pele looked at Goon for direction, and the Machop wasn't being hostile, so he wasn't about to make a fight out of it. As for Wiggles, he was still obliviously squeaking on his toy. Not the best definition of a guard dog, that Yamper.

Goon has no idea what's going on, but he's not getting interrogated anymore, so it's all good. He shrugs at the other Pokemon, although he does spare a longing glance at that squeaky toy. He wouldn't mind one of those...

Meanwhile, Bane has sauntered right up to the counter and slapped his hands on it, making the whole thing shake and the poor barista behind it jump. "Razzmatazz smoothies, please! One for me, Bane, B-A-N-E, and one for..." He glances down at Kazuki. "And what is your name?"

Kazuki is already an honorary goon, in Bane's mind.

Eventually, Wiggles realizes that Goon is a Pokemon with hands, which means that he can play fetch! He drops the toy and noses it towards the Machop, with those big wibbly eyes that no one can resist. Pele very pointedly ignores the two of them, because since once Wiggles gets started, the fetch never ends.

Kazuki's mouth opens to politely refuse-- he just had his own boba, after all-- but he immediately had second thoughts. It would probably be best to go along with things for now, lest he garner Bane's ire and have his skull crushed in-between his passive pecs.

"It's Kazuki," he answers with his voice a pitch higher than it normally is. He and the barista exchange a look as they both wonder if this is a hostage situation.

Goon's eyes widen at the offering of the toy, and he makes a pleased little sound in his throat as he bends to pick it up. He bounces it from hand to hand, then tentatively tosses it away. That seems like it's what the other Pokemon wants, and he's happy to oblige.

Bane notices the Pokemon playing, but he doesn't give it much thought. Goons like to hang out with other goons, after all, so if they're getting to know each other, they'll be better acquainted when it's time for a heist!

"Kazuki." Bane repeats it to the barista, although he doesn't bother trying to spell it. He fishes his wallet out of his belt and randomly tosses some money on the counter.

"Come with me now, Kazuki." Bane heads for a booth in the back of the shop. "Tell me about this place."

Wiggles romps after the ball with a joyous bark, his cute corgi butt jiggling like a jello mold. His namesake is rather clear. He returns to Goon and squeaks on the toy tauntingly, daring the Machop to try and take it from him.

"Uh... You're new?" Kazuki is genuinely surprised this time. Bane looks like someone that could be Rocket top brass-- Not your average troublemaker. "To the whole Pokemon thing, not just the drink shop?"
