[Look. The less said about the yelling and threatening that came from Mom's after Azul woke up in a place not his dorm at NRC and with a crying frog...thing nearby, the better. At least he was, in a way, prepared for this nonsense thanks to Yuu but still. It's never fun to wake up, magicaless and stuck as a human in a world that is very much not your own.

So let's just assume that none of that happened and a surprisingly sharply dressed young man just appeared in town with a still weeping Sobble clinging to his pants leg.]

At least these aren't dry-clean only.

[That is a terrible joke only he'd get.]

[Azul prides himself on keeping a cool head under most circumstances. He can take weird shit and just roll with it most of the time.

However. Even he has his limits.

Those limits are seeing an Espurr just staring at him with those soulless eyes. Time to find a way around this patch of grass!

[She is accompanying this speech with- a whole lot of posing and miming. There's something in there like the "I'm watching you" gesture, but that's the only thing easily identifiable as directly related.]

By walking past this cat and ignoring its challenge, you're not just disappointing one cat, you're disappointing all of human history and the bonds of shared struggle between humans and felines!

[Weird colored horses? That may be the most normal thing Azul's seen today.

That being said, he is but an unhappy merman who does not like most big land animals, so he's a little unsure about this horse approaching him and the Sobble.]

[When the Ponyta is addressed, she looks at Azul for a few moments... and then pointedly looks back to the Sobble and back to Azul.

Although, before Azul can answer, Marianne does finally notice the absence of her companion and makes her way over, sighing.]

... I'm sorry, is she bothering you...? [And then to the Ponyta:] Celeste, please don't wander off like that...

[He doubts he can speak Animal here but the language of "I am judging you for not handling this problem" appears to be universal. Azul just stares at the horse.]

I think she's taking offense to the crying...creature. [He glances down at the Sobble.] What even are you...

[Celeste lets out a noise of protest--it wasn't judgment, it was concern!--as Marianne kneels down to get a better look at the Sobble.]

Poor thing... [She tentatively holds her hand out to the Sobble, to see if it'll be receptive to her touch.]

I've tried, but I've never seen this type of animal before and I have no idea what it even likes. Other than crying and climbing me, anyway.

Little Lyagushka seems to like these ones a lot.

[Ashe came from his mom's house with an Eevee happily twittering next to his feet when he stopped at the guy with the crying Sobble. He reached in his bag for the pokemon food his mom gave him and held some out for the Sobble.]

[The Sobble just hides. The Sobble, it appears, is shy.]

That's alright, let me try something else. [Ashe pulled out a handkerchief and placed the food inside. He placed it down close to the Sobble and stepped back.]

It's right there for you when you're ready. [The Eevee next to him chirped happily and rubbed Ashe's leg. He bent down and rubbed their head.]

Don't worry, I have some for you too. [He reached in his bag and grabbed some food for Eevee. He placed some in his hand before he looked up at the guy next to him.] Everything is so new isn't it?
