Hey, me neither! Looks like we have something in common!

[Don't mind the abrupt interruption or the tanned pirate looking guy with a handlebar mustache and jodhpurs sliding into the seat across from him and dropping a Lotad rather unceremoniously onto the table. There's a rakish grin under the mustache as Argo eyes up his latest mark.]

So what're ya doing with it, boyo?

Uh.

[Arthur responds intelligently, gaping at the guy for a second. Which only happens after he initially jumped like three feet in the air at the sudden interruption. Luckily, his Dedenne is rather more sedate than her trainer, or at least better at recognizing what's a real threat.]

Just. Curious, I guess? [who is this guy why is he talking to him what's with the mustache]

[He's just your friend neighbourhood half-Genasi here to be a pal! What more could a guy want?

Probably not for Argo to lean forward with apparently earnest interest.] Well, what's it do, then? I've never seen something like it before, 'cept maybe a potion bottle or something!

[Arthur leeeeeeans back a tad, eyes wide and darting off to the side for a moment, but there is no one to save him! Not that...well, you know, this is probably just a totally normal social interaction and Arthur's doing an Arthur.]

W-well, it's, uh...I mean, some of it's pretty simple. Like, this is the mechanism that makes it pop open if you press the button. Or, uh, throw it. At a Pokemon...apparently.

[He guesses???? He presses the button to show, though - the ball is kinda disassembled, but a piece of it still moves when he does.]

And then there's, uh. A magic pocket dimension thing or something? I think this - [Indicating a different bit.] - is the part that talks to the PC, but I dunno about any of the rest of it.

So it's like a Bag of Holding? [what a weirdly specific example] Only they can only hold one Pokemon.

[He leans forward and grins, and stage-whispers behind his hand like he's trying to keep it on the downlow.]

But hey, if this thing can talk to computers, you think it'd mind us asking them how to get us home? [And he leans back to continue cheerfully.] Not that this place isn't great and all, but I've had my fill of this whole 'being human' thing!

Uh - yeah, actually.

[He gets that reference! Not...too comfortable with this, still, but he at least restrains himself from visibly leaning back as the guy leans forward. Which...might not last, because:]

Wh. What do - what do you mean, "being human thing"?

What, do you not have other races where you're from? [He grins, roguishly, and lifts a hand to tap off on his fingers.] Elves, firbolg, half-orcs and such.

[He leans back and plants a hand on his chest in a grandiose manner.] And water genasi like yours truly!

[please hold while arthur has a flashback to like, the entirety of lord of the rings and all its inspired properties]

...noooooo??? I mean, there's uh. There's...ghosts, and things. But those are like, mostly former humans, I think?

Oh, those guys? Ghosts are jerks. You steal their treasure one time and they never let you hear the end of it!

[Is he telling the truth? Who knows.] And don't get me started on skeletons!

[He rests his chin on one hand while his Lotad wriggles slowly towards Arthur.]

But seriously, that's all you have? No other races, or- or magic or anything?

[Like, Vivi would say yes. And Arthur can't really rule anything out, after the stuff he's seen. So maybe?]

I. One time I think I might've seen a plant lady? [Quick glance at the creeping Lotad.] But it could've been a dream, or - or a hallucination? It was right before I got here, and there was, uh...

[A lot of stuff?]

[The Lotad stops immediately when Arthur looks at it. And immediately starts again when the guy looks away.]

Wow. Your world sounds boring as shit!

[He says it with a gleeful, shit-eating grin.]

I mean, I'm not much of a magic user myself, but I can't imagine living in just- a whole world that only has scraps of it! How lame would that be?
