Allegedly he should be coming upon the light at the end of the tunnel any day now...but there are no shops to buy supplies, bartering with trainers after a battle hasn't worked too well, and he's steadily losing energy.
He's just going to curl up next to this boulder with Jet spreading her trail of slime beside him, attempting to recharge enough for one last push.
...there's a sudden rumble behind them as the boulder they're leaning on suddenly moves, and he finds himself scrambling to grab Jet and move out of the way. She makes a distressed cry, and he's now covered in slime, but that's how these things go. He sighs wearily at her. ]
Once we're out of here, we have a lot of prep work to do. We'll stay near the next center and train until we can crush our enemies.
