[ That was not his mother. He’d said so several times, but she hadn’t seemed to really pay his protests any mind. Now Junpei was staring at the door that had just been shut, absolutely confused beyond belief.

When he turned around to get a look at wherever he was, he nearly jumped out of his skin at seeing a blue tentacled creature mere inches from his face. He’s pressed against the door now, eyes wide in fear while the creature seems totally unphased by his reaction. It babbles on and on in its own language as he finds himself slowly trying to step around it. ]

I ... I don’t know what you want, but I can’t help you ...

National Park

[ A rest is nice. Even after some time in this new world, Junpei still feels a little overwhelmed by it all. He’s sat himself down on a bench, watching his Frillish bounce around and sing to itself, the polar opposite of his introverted tendencies.

He’d learned quickly the Pokémon was his, and that it was a more complex creature than Moon Dregs in spite of their similarities. He could command it as he had been able to do with his shikigami, but the Frillish could disobey if it so desired.

Someone had told him he should give it a name, but he hadn’t ever had to name something before, and found himself taking it more seriously than he’d expected. He’d gone through a few before deciding they didn’t quite fit. ]

... Bloop? No, that sounds dumb ...

national park

[Strictly speaking, Doppio doesn't need to pass through the National Park anymore. He has faster ways to travel between all of the adjacent cities, and most of the trainers don't really have Pokémon rare enough for Doppio to bother putting on his Rocket uniform and ruining their days.

But, you know... When he drops by Goldenrod anyway, and he needs to train his Pokémon the way any regular old civilian would... The National Park is just a really nice place. The trees, the flowers, the bugs... There's no reason for him not to come here either. He may be a man on a mission, but doing regular trainer things is also part of that, right?

And hey, gathering berries for his Morpeko so it doesn't fly off the handle at a bad time later? That's DEFINITELY important, and exactly what Doppio is up to when he overhears Junpei - and sees his Frillish.]

Huh?... Whoa! I don't see those very often.

National Park

Oh, for a name? You think so? I thought it was a bit cute! Although that's not always what people are going for...

[Elizabetta had just been going for a walk with her little Spritzee, especially to scope out the National Park... She's heard quite a few incredible Pokemon can be found around here, after all!]

[Instead, it looks like she's stumbled upon a curious little dilemma! Coming up from behind the bench, she leans down to get a slightly better look.]

[Arlo's sitting on a stump with his new Lotad. The Lotad doesn't move, basking in the crisp, cool morning breeze.]

I mean, it's really weird... being brought to a whole new place, being turned into a person, oh yeah, and I think I met my mom? But she wants me to go on an adventure with you. It's kind of overwhelming.

Route 29

[Lilith happens to be heading down the route as well, with her Murkrow finally in his pokeball - so there's that, at least. She hears Arlo's question before she sees the boy and his partner, and when she does, she stands at a bit of a distance.]

You're going to sing?

[The idea of bursting into song isn't exactly something common on the Boiling Isles.]

[There's a woman, appearing in her forties or so and clearly a new arrival, chasing a very energetic, bouncy Murkrow through town.]

Murkrowtio! [She calls after him in a tone that's firm, though she keeps her voice low and even.] You need to get into your Pokeball! The trainer's manual clearly indicates that--

[At this point, practically laughing with it's cry, the Murkrow turns around and starts bounding in the other direction, using Lilith's shoulder as a spring-pad for its jumps.]

[Union Cave]
[By the time Lilith makes it this far, it would seem she and her Murkrow are operating better as a team. While they're exploring the rocky caverns, Murkrowtio hears a peculiar, almost musical sound-- he finds it unnerving. His reaction is to start trying to nest into Lilith's hair, which gets a wry smile.]

I'm afraid you have the wrong Clawthorne for that... [But then Lilith hears the call, as well.] Hmm. What could that be?

Union Cave

[Good question! And yet one that won't have an immediate answer... Although someone certainly tries. Down through the tunnels of Union Cave, there's a couple of musical chirps - not the same sound from before, but certainly someone trying to imitate it!]

[And then someone else responding, voice echoing in the caves.]

Oh, I agree. It is a lovely sound, isn't it? Do you think we can find it?

Insector Haga / YuGiOh

New Bark Town

[Haga knows his mother and he knows her WELL. And this woman talking to him, despite her warm smile and calm voice, isn't her! Not even close! And what's with this room he woke up in? This is not his carefully curated room!

But it seems like no matter how much he tells this strange woman she's not his mother and this is not his house, she doesn't seem to be listening. She just gives him a packed back and sends him off on his way for a Pokémon journey?

He can't help but stare at the door once it's shut on his face. Just his luck to be caught in weird situations like these, hm? He sighs and turns to walk away when he trips and falls face first on the ground.]

Ugh... what the... [He mutters, then spots a small pink and green creature that resembles an insect near his feet. But it's much bigger than any insect he's ever seen. And very unusual.]

Oh... Looks like I tripped on you. Sorry lil' guy. [He's surprisingly nice to the small creature, and in return he gets some happy noises and the bug jumps on his chest, seemingly cheering.]

Woah, woah!! Why are you acting like you are my pet or something? You are cute and all but... [He looks around nervously. What are people going to think if they see him being buddy buddy with something so cute? They are gonna start making assumptions!]


Somehwere along Route 30

[After some careful reading of the Trainer Handbook, Haga doesn't feel as lost as before, but he's still very lost. He keeps Fomantis - now named Queenie - out of her pokeball so he doesn't feel so alone in his journey.

The only thing is... Haga quickly discovered that he isn't very good at this Pokémon catching thing. His aim is abysmal and every pokeball he throws misses the target. And honestly, it's starting to get really annoying.

If you are walking through Route 30 you can spot him trying - and failing - to throw pokeballs at Caterpies. He just wants another bug for his team! Why is that so hard? He seems to be growing more and more frustrated by the second. Care to help?]

Route 30

[Being able to just skip school and play around in the country side is so fun! Elizabetta is almost reminded of the Harvest Festival back at school, only with less of a goal to achieve, and the comforts of the city far closer. There's less things that want to eat her, too!]

[So she can just take her time, cradling her companion in her arms... and meet all sorts of interesting people in the meantime. Like the boy in the grass, tossing Pokeballs at caterpillars. Caterpies?]

Oh! Are you interested in those? The, um, cater...

[She's already forgotten the name, even as this six foot something girl comes over with a Spritzee in her arms.]

30!

[Did Sidon find himself in this place again? Oh my, he did. He's been in this land a few times now in short bursts, but these bursts were long enough that he felt he could gather information to keep each time. Why did this place seem to search for him so?

Not that he minded the detour in the end, because now he knew that this was still so temporary. After all, he stuck out like a sore thumb wherever he went. He heard many people dragged here for long term kept a "human" appearance. Which he gathered was another word for Hylian.

Him as a Hylian, or human, what a thought...Better not entertain that too much.

But anyway, returning meant he could play with his many Wooper friends again! Oh he loved them so! They followed him as he began to explore the woods and the lakes. He had gotten more adventurous here.

Oh my, that young man was having an issue catching Pokemon. He should help!]

Near New Bark Town: Action

It was so peaceful. Just a little town nestled among the pines, sleepy and close-knit. It reminded her a bit of Besaid, to be honest. There were no sea breezes, or salty brine, but the quiet was very familiar.

What was different was the way the residents held themselves. For most of her life, Yuna lived in a world grounded in fear. Even when she was young, during her father's Calm, there was an air of despair in people, a tension in their shoulders that belayed their constant anxiety. Anywhere that people gathered, Sin was not far off, waiting to enact punishment on the unfaithful. It could appear at any moment, without warning, without mercy. Just the memory of such a time could change someone for life.

These people had obviously never lived through such a thing. They were genuinely carefree and untraumatized. Everyone was smiling. Real, easy smiles.

She wondered if those born after the time of Sin would smile like these people did.

The little Jangmo-o that had been following her since she arrived butt its head gently against her leg. She laughed softly, and knelt down to give it some attention.

"Are you my friend now?" she asked as she reached out to gently stroke its head. It gave a happy bark, and slammed its tail against the ground to make a noise like a cymbal. "Thank you. It's a little lonely without a friend by your side, isn't it?"

Goldenrod City: Action

A great city, all lit up, even at night. People strolled in the wide main roads and mysterious back-alleys, as carefree and energetic as if it were the middle of the day. Advertisements blinked in and out on big screens, different songs played from the various entrances to dance clubs, good smells wafted from food carts. Everyone was having fun, close together in pair or groups, holding hands and bumping shoulders.

"This must've been what Zanarkand was like..."

Yuna felt terribly out of place, but at the same time, she was burning with curiosity. She wanted to get to know this place. She thought that if she did, she could understand a little more about him.

She was already learning what it was like to suddenly be in a totally different world, and now empathized with him on a whole new level. Some of the strange things he said at the beginning of their journey made more sense now. But she still cherished that time. Having someone around that didn't understand the sacrifice that was about to be made let her live in a pleasant fantasy, even if only for a little while.

Her mind wandered, and she took a step froward, nearly tripping down a small set of stairs. The Golisopod playing at her guardian reached forward and grabbed her shoulder to make sure she didn't fall.

"Oh, thank you!" Yuna turned to give a short bow to the big Pokemon, who continued to stand by her side like a silent sentinel. It reminded her a bit of Kimahri. She regained her composure. "I'll be more careful, I promise."

She wanted to explore just a little more. She'd never been up so late before, so she didn't think she could last all night, but she wanted to see what she could while she had the chance.

Cianwood City Beach: Video Post

[While she was using the Gears Net function for the first time, Yuna was still using it correctly. The feed was right-side up and there were no fingers blocking the camera. She even held it nice and steady.]

[The feed showed a Passimian and an Alolan Raichu playing together with a ball. Yuna cheered and clapped every time the managed to do something even a little impressive.]

I've heard that the game people play here isn't called Blitzball. They don't play it in the water either. But it's still pretty similar.

So these little machina are like CommSpheres, right? Other people far away can see this too, and talk to me? It's a wonderful thing. I like it a lot.

This world is full of friends just waiting to be made. Especially these Pokemon! [Yuna giggled softly.] But it's a little strange too. Suddenly, I understand someone I knew a lot better. It's not easy, suddenly being in another world.

There are people here like me too, right? Not from Spira, but from other different worlds out there. How have you been doing here? What were your homes like? I feel like I could listen to your stories for the rest of my life, and I still wouldn't have heard it all. But I still want to know!

This isn't how he pictured the Farplane.

If he was being completely honest with himself, Auron had never really thought about what comes after being sent. He knows the stories, certainly, but much like everything else about Yu Yevon, those stories could have been lies. He had assumed that when he stepped to the bridge of the airship and felt himself dissolve--there had been no pain, no fear, just a sense of everything he was gently coming apart--that would be it, and he would be no more.

Seeing Lord Braska and Jecht, and then Tidus, had been both a surprise and an honour he felt he didn't deserve.

And now he's here, wherever this is, and he doesn't have his sword. When he asked for it, the people at the centre had pointed out the little dagger next to him on the cot. When he'd touched it, it had moved, and it's apparently alive and floating along behind him.

The Farplane is a strange, strange place.

But it's peaceful, at least, except for that faint jangling sound. As Auron has nothing else to do--and what a strange phenomenon, finding himself without a driving mission in his life--he follows the sound, his little living sword floating merrily beside him.

He freezes when he finds the source of the sound.

Oh, no. No, no, no.

"Yuna?"

It wasn't supposed to be this way. They were supposed to have won.

I know this world is pretty fucking bonkers, but seriously?
They are all identical.
All of them.
What is up with that?
Magic isn't supposed to be real here, but that has got to be some sort of illusion magic.

[Today, we find ourselves in a park in a city. Which park and which city? Unimportant. It could be any park and city. What is important is the coffee kiosk -- it's one of those mobile ones, the sort that exists to sell okay-ish (at best) coffee to travellers on the go, in those little disposable cups that always seem to end up in the gutter rather than the trash.

The little kiosk is probably green. They are always green.

A boy is standing in front of the kiosk, frowning mightily up (and up; he's barely four and half feet tall) at the current bane of his existence. The boy is wearing a proper suit-and-vest along with a flat cap on his head. A Yungoos stands at his side, mirroring its trainer's frown, also wearing an identical (though even smaller) flat cap. You have a feeling they are definitely both gunning for a professional look here, but have both rolled a nat-one on this one.]

Seriously? You are not going to sell me a coffee?

New Bark Town

It took some time to get settled, but this is certainly not the weirdest place Auron has ever found himself. It's quiet here, and peaceful, and he likes that. This is a world where he can relax. A world where he can retire, so to speak.

Except he doesn't have time for retirement.

Auron has found a school for young Pokemon trainers, and has settled himself in the playground. The teachers were a little hesitant about the grizzled former monk at first, but quickly warmed to him when the kids started swarming him at every recess. So there's Auron, in the middle of the crowd of children and low-level Rattatas and Pidgeys, coaching them on battle strategies.

"That's a good start, but I would recommend more defence. Make sure you have a Potion in your back pocket."

I'm new here, and haven't learned all the customs of this world yet. However, I've noticed something that I would like explained.

What is the prejudice against Ghost Pokemon? Why do trainers shy away from them?

Is it because they're already dead?

For some, it may also be a matter of temperament. Many of the ghosts are mischievous, some outright hostile. That makes them harder to train. Others, as you say, may be disturbed by the nature of these creatures.

[Y'know, the parts where they're the spirits of dead children or they eat souls or whatever. It's fine, par for the course where Geralt's from.]

[It's a beautiful day. The Wingulls are calling, the wind is fair, and the ocean looks fairly calm. So, you know, that's clearly the best time for a man with a pink plastic bucket to hike down the beach, in boots. Boots, a button-down shirt, and... so many tattoos.]

[He makes a beeline for one of the tidepools on the shoreline, crouching down to ease the bucket's contents into the pool. Revealing a little Horsea, who looks around excitedly. Oh! The ocean! Wow!]

There now. Surely that's better than floating about in a bucket.

[Okay, this guy sounds vaguely like an old-timey pirate. Or, he would, if he weren't speaking so gently to the pokemon. The Horsea trills, splashing in the tidepool. It's obviously happy to be there, but when the man nods, turning on a heel, the delighted trilling turns to frightened squeaks. He stops in his tracks, turning back to the pool, expression creased in concern.]

What is it? You can't... [But the pokemon is trying to flounder its way onto the sand. So the man sighs. And takes a seat on a rock beside the pool.] You belong to the sea, little one.

Then again... 'spose I'm the same, eh? Stuck ashore and without a bucket of my own.

[Horsea, mollified for now, decides a nice hearty Splash will be helpful. Regardless of anyone passing by. Oops.]

[Yeah, he still sounds like a pirate. And the face on the screen is literally covered in tattoos. Lines, whorls, dots. They're just not on his eyelids. Somehow. He's even got an ear piercing.]

[Auron's Honedge--Masamune, as it has decided it is called and is refusing to answer to anything but--was floating merrily down the beach, with Auron trailing after it, when it got splashed! Splashed! It squeaks with dismay and ducks behind Auron.]

[It doesn't hurt to have a bulky guy in a red coat between it and the offending Horsea, Masamune decides. It peeks out above Auron's shoulder and shakes its wet sash in indignation. Splashed! Can you imagine!]

[Auron takes in the other man, and if he's shocked by all the tattoos or the boots on the beach, it doesn't show at all on his face. Hey, he's wearing boots too, and a long coat. it's fashion, baby]

[The video opens up on the image of a man that may be familiar to some people in the world of Pokemon. Redheaded, dressed in old fashioned collared shirt and looking a little rumpled and confused is Sylvain. He has to adjust his hold on the 'gear, making his face move around a little at first.]

So uhhhhh this lovely woman whose house I just woke up in his definitely not my mother, this crazy little thing I have is nothing like I've ever seen before, and apparently I'm responsible for this flaming filly?

[He turns the camera and a ponyta comes into view, pawing at the earth and looking at him with reproach. He holds up his burned hand to illustrate how well his previous attempts at touching her went.]

Someone wanna tell me what the hell I got dosed with and how to reverse it? Thanks.

Route 29

Even more baffling than the fact that this weird horse doesn't seem to like him at all is the fact that it keeps following him anyway. Some trainers along the road taught him about "starter" monsters and pokeballs. He does manage to recall the ponyta to the ball, but she pops right back out, lowering her head menacingly at him.

"Woah, hey, all right, no more ball, got it!" He holds his hands up in the universal sign of surrender.

Cherrygrove City

So he lets her follow him around like the most tsundere lady he's ever met. He gets the lay of the land of Cherrygrove and decides to take a rest on the beach. He's got his shoes off and his pants rolled up, sitting in the sand and watching the light play on the water. Ponyta is nearby, nosing through the sand and watching him warily. Whenever he turns to look at her, she snorts derisively or kicks sand at him.

[The first thing Sylvain sees on the screen with this reply is a shiny Tsareena with huge wide eyes that are filling with tears - though they seem to be glad tears, as she's wearing a broad smile, too. She makes a few trilling noises that seem like happy ones and then the view is dizzying as she clearly grabs the Gear and starts running full-speed.

Felix is mid-training with Assal and Andre when Inda careens over to him and urgently holds his Gear up for him to take; Sylvain can hear the clash of steel on steel until Felix pauses to look down. She wouldn't be acting like this unless it was an emergency, so he doesn't bother wasting time with asking questions. He just takes it and peers at the screen with a concerned frown, slightly red-faced and sweaty from exertion, hair mussed and falling a bit out of its tie.

What he sees makes his eyes go wide, too. He feels like his heart has stopped and he's forgotten how to breathe. He can't make any words come out before he sinks down to sit in the grass, not bothering to try to seem cool or collected. He just lets go of the Doublade in his hand, which floats up to hover behind Felix so it can look down at the screen, too.

His voice is tight with barely leashed hope. He can't...assume anything.]

...Sylvain. Where...where are you?

Wang Baixi | DC Comics

Action - Cherrygrove

[ Wang Baixi has wound up in some far-flung places, in unexpected circumstances, more times than he would like to count. But never has he been anywhere this far-flung or unexpected. He woke up three days ago in a house he didn't recognize, where a woman he also didn't recognized claimed to be his mother shoved a backpack into his hands and unceremoniously ushered him out the door. Nothing in the pack was familiar... So he's had to make do. Without any of his gear, his tech, his links to his teammates back in China, he isn't entirely sure how he's going to get home. So, instead he chooses to focus on just getting by.

He takes the road to the nearest city by himself, not trusting the unfamiliar red and white ball in his pack enough to try opening it. He notices right away that the animals here aren't... right. There was a man with a giant purple rat who said he wanted to battle— which Baixi might have been down for, if it didn't seem like he wanted his rat to do the fighting!

He walks all day, and at night he does his best to get himself up to speed on this locale, using his Gear to research whatever information he can find. So, the strange animals are called Pokemon, and people here keep them as companions or trained fighting animals for some kind of sick bloodsport. Dog fighting is legal in China, so such a concept isn't unheard of, though Baixi does think it's somewhat distateful. Still, that seems to be the primary way to earn money around here, which Baixi is going to need if he's going to find himself food and shelter. Looks like he'll have to get himself one of these Pokemon and start training it to fight. ]

Excuse me, do you have a second to answer some questions from a new transplant?

[ (Little does he know, there's a Snivy inside that Pokeball in his bag, just waiting to come out.) ]

if I must take a guess, the same who or what that brought us here, and they stay unknown. but I didn't know what you expected from a being/thing that transplants people across realms without consent. not exactly the paragon of sense of humor.

[Honestly, it's rather lonely being in another timeline, but this former God was far too stubborn to ever admit it. Even when Loki was in the TVA, there was at least people who knew who he was. But here... it was nothing. All you must do is learn to fit in the crowd of fellow humans with their pokemon. In this case with him, another grunt of the Team Rocket bureaucracy.

The stars that fell from the sky were beautiful at least, a reminder of home. Although... Can he return home? There was enough damage from New York, and the branches of other timelines have all been managled. It would be hard to even come close to finding some place he'd might be comfortable to even settle down in.

Loki took in breath as he glanced down, holding an empty pokeball in his hand. Watching the reflection of the shining star lights glitter on the top cover. Getting lost within his thoughts.]

(B.) [Viridian City] Action

[After asking around, Loki managed to find out where the place is to do research. Walking into the massive library, the mountains of books took him back to the tiring hours of reading he did while at the TVA. Giving a winded sigh.]

Here we go again.

[Hopefully no one will interupt his "inner" thoughts while reading. But sure enough Loki had picked out a book about some of mysterious sights. Coming across the information about the Ruins of Alph, a soft voice came from his lips as he muttered out loud.]

Those who wonder too long might not realize how far they've gone... A strange radio signal can be heard... What kind of connection could one make out there it-

[Well... waking up in the strange house alone had been unnerving, to say the least, especially with the woman blithely claiming to be Allura's mother... Too many fresh wounds involving her own parents, or too-cheery simulacra of parents... But at least this almost-mother wasn't trying to make her stay, or drive a spaceship into a supernova. In fact, it was almost a relief to be shoved out the door.

At the very least she should check this network, see how much of this is a dream or illusion, how much a hostage situation. She means to start composing a text message (at least she can make out the keyboard, thank goodness for the PokeGear's translator function), when a tiny white nose presses a different button, and the first thing people might see is an intense close-up of a white Vulpix face before humanoid hands start to pull the body away from the camera.]

[ The problem, you ask? He's been in this cave and divebombed by Zubats for nearly a week. Allegedly he should be coming upon the light at the end of the tunnel any day now...but there are no shops to buy supplies, bartering with trainers after a battle hasn't worked too well, and he's steadily losing energy.

He's just going to curl up next to this boulder with Jet spreading her trail of slime beside him, attempting to recharge enough for one last push.

...there's a sudden rumble behind them as the boulder they're leaning on suddenly moves, and he finds himself scrambling to grab Jet and move out of the way. She makes a distressed cry, and he's now covered in slime, but that's how these things go. He sighs wearily at her. ]

Once we're out of here, we have a lot of prep work to do. We'll stay near the next center and train until we can crush our enemies.

[ Jet makes a mournful noise, and Kaiba passes a berry to her in an attempt to reassure. They're running low on those too, but they need to scrape up some strength here. ]

[Everything about this situation is wrong. This is not Senjuro’s home, that was definitely not his mother, and then there’s the matter of what can only be a possessed candle following him. He’s fairly certain that it’s odd for it to survive the daylight, but he’s been trying to avoid it nonetheless.

What is he going to do when it gets dark and the demon undoubtedly controlling it can come out? He doesn’t have a sword to defend himself, and even if he did… well, it would be useless. That strange woman won’t even let him back in the house, either.

It takes a good while, but the young boy gets worked up enough that he finds a corner of the small town to plop down in and just... cry. What else is there to do at this point?

The little Litwick that found itself with him has learned to keep its distance, but hasn’t given up entirely. Should anyone else appear or pass by, it will hover over and try to direct their attention to the distressed child.]

[It may have taken a little while to adapt, but reading through the guides has been a relaxing process. Senjuro still can’t push down a look of mild upset, but at least he doesn’t feel quite so helpless anymore.

As he opens up the Gear, he adjusts the angle of the video to include the raggedly costumed creature sitting calmly on his lap. Mimikyu is definitely more indifferent toward the whole situation than its trainer.]

That has to be on purpose though. [He looks over to his Pokemon.] Y'think someone caught them to spell that? Or maybe they figured it out themselves.

[Finally, his Pokemon point him in the direction of what is now much louder and more obvious rumbling - a quite dense stampede of Stantler.

Now, he knows how Pokemon battles work, and that he could probably ask his Pokemon to use something to shoo them elsewhere. But his first instinct?

[It's been merely thirty seconds since having been thrust out the door of 'Mom's' house, but Penny's already accidentally dropped the one Pokeball she had and is marveling at what's popped out. Her puzzled expression breaks into a full-on smile and she beams.]

Oh, you're just the cutest little thing, aren't you?

[The Magnemite chirps and hums while circling Penny.]

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand. You're my Pokemon? [It makes up and down motions like it's nodding.] You mean like... traveling buddy, maybe? [Small pause... but then nodding again.] Well, then! We'll just have to go on an adventure together, won't we?

[The Pokemon seems quite happy and bounces around some, before suddenly getting a little too close to Penny and sticking to her arm. She pauses, and then starts waving her arm around trying to get it off.] Oh no! I'm so sorry, friend, I wanted to warn you! Ah, how are we going to get you off....?

[Her waving around like a madwoman is likely to get someone's attention. Some assistance might be in order.]

[ It had taken quite a while for Fluttershy to really understand what was happening, and even longer for her to calm down once she realized she was in a strange new place by herself. Well, not quite by herself exactly. She had...what had her mother - not her mother - called it? Her partner Pokémon?

It had taken a few more minutes, once letting her partner out of the Pokéball, for her to understand that the creature didn't want to hurt her. The opposite, in fact, this...Audino, was it? Was here to help. Which did make her feel a little better, though she couldn't help wondering what sort of creature it was. It certainly was unlike any kind of animal she'd ever seen.

But apparently that was normal here, she discovered as Audino encouraged her to explore the surrounding area. She could see some bird-like creatures, some rodent-like creatures, some bugs and various others...but there were also some that looked like plants? And even some egg-like creatures.

Well, if she had any more doubts about being in another world, she didn't anymore.

But eventually the edge of panic slowly faded, as she encountered more of these Pokémon along the route. Her curiosity and excitement over getting to meet and learn about new animals was taking over, and eventually she found a spot on the side of the route to settle down and sit a while, surrounded by a large group of Pokémon that were all buzzing and chattering around her while her Audino stands nearby. ]

Oh, thank you all so much for staying with me a while. I was feeling so anxious before, but getting to talk with all of you really has helped me feel better, and I really appreciate it.

[ There is a very nervous-looking girl onscreen, who seems to be hiding behind her hair as she avoids looking at the camera. After a moment of the girl simply fidgeting, an Audino appears beside her, patting shoulder her and making encouraging sounds. Another moment and the girl finally sighs, pushing back her hair a bit as she swallows nervously. ]

H- [ It comes out in a bit of a squeak, so she clears her throat and tries again. ] H-Hello...I-I've, um...just arrived here, and I'm...looking for my friends. I-I'm not...sure if they're here too, but...i-if anyone has heard of...Twilight Sparkle, or Sunset Shimmer, or Rainbow Dash, or Applejack, or Rarity, or Pinkie Pie...I-I'd really appreciate it if you'd let me know.

[ The Audino then speaks up again, a bit more urgently, and she glances back at it before nodding. ]

O-Oh, you're right, I'm sorry. [ She turns back to the camera and clears her throat again. ] S-Sorry. My name is...F-Fluttershy. If you know any of my friends, p-please...let them know that I'm looking for them.

[Alberto wasn't sure what to make of waking up in a strange place where a stranger called herself his mother, but when he saw his Totodile and started to learn about Pokemon training... Well, it was pretty cool, right? And if he was going to do this whole gym-battling, league-challenging adventure, why not do an amazing job of it? So by the time the teen is on Route 29, he's feeling pretty confident - or at least, making a good show of feeling such. Same thing, right? Sort of.

He's looking for Pokemon to add to his team when he sees a girl surrounded by Pokemon, and he can't help staring. He's impressed.]

Wow, I've never seen so many of them with one person before. [Of course, he did just get here...] Are they all on your team?

[As much as he would like to go home, one thing that isn't bothering Bakura is the fact that his starter is a ghost Pokémon. Specifically it's a Galarian Yamask, which is currently floating along behind him as he wanders the town.]

At least you're not the worst ghost I've ever met. [Then again, it's not hard to be better than the spirit of the Millennium Ring.]
