That would make the two of us, I'm afraid. And I don't have much hope for reversing it to be so easy, I must admit.

While the situation is by no means identical, something... similar happened to an underclassman of mine back home, and they've had no luck throughout the better part of a school year.

The explanation likely won't help. They were apparently brought from an entirely different world from my own... The headmaster has supposedly been researching a way to send them back, but it seems he's had no luck.

[Of course, Dire Crowley is Notoriously Useless, so Riddle is personally taking that with a grain of salt.]

In other words, it may be more complicated to return than to be brought here ... wherever here happens to be.

[Dragon alien gods from space, living weapons made out of bones, traveling between worlds, sure, why not. All very normal. Everything makes sense around him always.]

Seems like you're a bit more prepared for all of this than I am. You nearby? I think I recognize that building.

Perhaps only somewhat. These--I hesitate to call them familiars, but that's what they remind me of--are rather new, as is not being able to use any of my magic.

Could you come find me? I'm by the entrance to the road out of town. Look for the big redheaded asshole sitting by the fire horse.

[He pans the camera toward his ponyta again, who spins around to show Riddle her butt.]

[And with that, Riddle hangs up. At least he's not far, so it doesn't take him too long to show up, Morpeko still clinging to his shoulder. He lifts a hand in greeting as he approaches.]

[Sylvain lifts a hand in return. The Ponyta turns to look at the newcomer with suspicion, ears swiveled towards him and her mane flickering a little higher.]

Careful with that one, she's sassy.

[She snorts.]

I'm Sylvain, by the way.

[Don't mind him, he's going to openly admire the Ponyta for a few moments now that he's seeing her in person--]

She's lovely.

[... And makes him miss Vorpal a little, but that's neither here nor there.]

Oh, she sure is. She knows it too.

[Ponyta tosses her mane and turns away from the boys, pawing at the grass and leaning down to sniff at it. Purposefully ignoring them. Sylvain can't bite back a smile at it. She's just a horse, even if she is also on fire.]

And odd they sure are! Did you wake up in a strange bedroom and get a bunch of things thrust at you by someone who is decidedly not your mother, also?
