[Frightened or no, he's definitely going to become frightened when Gregory realizes not only is he being chased by a giant bird(???) but also another person, probably another adult who has it out for him in some way. Doesn't matter if they're unaffiliated with the pizzaplex or the security guard, Gregory has no reason to trust them and therefore he won't.

So he picks up speed, stumbling as he makes it out onto the route. Unfortunately, said route is long and pretty open, meaning that the only way Gregory is going to be able to...theoretically hide is by throwing himself into the tall grass.

...which immediately ends with him being flushed back out as a flurry of Pidgey squawk and peck at him and his clothes until he stumbles back onto the open route, leaving him frazzled and exposed. He has no choice but to face Boober and his Swablu, realizing that he's lost everything from the pizzaplex that he'd taken to protect himself, too.]

L-leave me alone! Go away-!

[Boober's at a loss-- He knows his presence is upsetting to this child, but now that they're out on a route he can't just leave him alone. Even to someone as cowardly as Boober, the idea is too irresponsible to stomach.

He takes two small steps back, but he's not going back to New Bark. He knows what it's like to be afraid, so he tries to think about what he would have liked to hear when he'd first arrived.]

I know this is a scary place... I've been scared since I got here. [He pauses to scoff.] Well, longer than that. But I promise I'm not trying to make it worse.

[Gregory watches Boober warily, though mostly he's got his eyes on his Swablu to make sure it doesn't come any closer. His Teddiursa thankfully seems to be doing a decent enough job of that, having sort-of koala'd himself around Gregory's neck to keep himself front and center in the event that the other Pokemon decides it wants to battle.

The boy of course doesn't know about any of this, at least not yet. He's mostly concerned with the adult in front of him, and the only reason he hasn't kept running is because Boober hasn't come any closer.]

Then...then tell me who you are. And where DID you come from?

[He follows Gregory's line of sight to Swablu. He can't blame the child; Swablu endeared herself to Boober quickly but he'd been wary of her at first, too. He'd get out her Pokeball to recall her, but he has a feeling he shouldn't make any sudden movements.]

Oh, of course. Sorry. My name is Boober, and I come from a place called Fraggle Rock. It's a system of caves.

[Gregory sort of looks at Boober for a long moment, blinking slowly.]

Pffft.

[Then he snorts, unable to help himself.]

No way that's your real name.

[It's not the first time that's come up, and Boober crosses his arms over his chest with a soft sigh.]

Yes, it is. But what about your name?

[At the very least, Gregory straightens up a bit when his own name is asked for, sort of glancing away for a moment. As if sharing even just his name might be too much.]

It's...Gregory.

Okay. Gregory.

[Boober nods a little, curiously watching Gregory. Look, he's something of an expert on fear, right? And this boy's fear is hitting a note unique from that which his own usually does. Boober's worries are all about the hypothetical, the worst-case scenarios. With Gregory, and his distrust especially... It's different.]

...Are you in trouble?

[If Boober were anyone else, Gregory might be inclined to not answer. He's being cagey at the very least, but...well, they're not there anymore. And as long as he's not trapped within the walls of the Pizzaplex and being hunted, he's more or less safe. Or at least...he should be.

Maybe it would be better if others knew, others that aren't involved. At least they would know to keep a watchful eye out.]

Yeah. There's these...animatronics after me. And a security guard...and this weird bunny lady. They're all trying to get me.

[Boober doesn't understand a lot of that. He certainly doesn't know what animatronics are. It doesn't matter, though, because what he hones in on is that last sentence. He turns his head from side to side, making sure things are safe now - or, well, something close to that; is it every truly safe? - before looking back to Gregory.]

Well...no, not here. At least I don't think so.

[He looks a little unsure when he says that, though.]

I was stuck in a building, a big Pizzaplex. But somehow I got out of it...and ended up here. I guess maybe they didn't follow me...?

...I hope they didn't.

[Boober shudders, glancing around. He still doesn't really understand the details, but neither being stuck nor being followed are remotely pleasant.]

Well... I don't know. As far as I can tell, I'm the only one from Fraggle Rock here. But it's still important to be careful.

[Huh. He's pretty sure he can't mean rock as in glamrock, but...]
