[There's a clear moment, there, where he moves to try to get to her seat but it ends up being an awkward sort of dance of being in the way, briefly, and then dropping back into his own seat looking a bit embarrassed.

Thankfully she gives him a chance to redeem himself. She offers her hand and Lorenz takes it, not to shake but to hold as he leans down to kiss her knuckles.
