[Committing the description to memory, Paul returns the smile. He's an unusual child in many ways, and in his world he has needed to grow up quickly. In many ways being pushed out the door by a complete stranger with a bag is more pleasant than what he's dealt with lately.]
I'll keep a watch out for him, and if I see or hear anything I'll reach out to you. This Network is a useful thing. It feels less isolating to know other people are in the same position as us.
[Being pulled out of your world is disorienting, no matter who you are. Paul and Freddy can't be the only ones who were separated from people they care about back home. At least the Network provides an easy way for people like them to contact one another.]
Apparently it's not unusual for young people to fend for themselves here. But we have our Pokémon to help keep us safe, so we aren't alone.

Thank you for your help Paul. [He offers the young man a smile that is both kind and somehow proud at the same time, not unlike a good father figure would have for seeing their charge do something good in the world.] It is nice to know we are not alone... loneliness is... unpleasant.
Knowing that, if he is here, Gregory also has a pokemon as well is a comfort. [He reaches up to give gentle scritches to the scorebunny on his shoulder.] They are kind, friendly things too. Full of life.

[Paul shuffles aside, and an orange Trapinch appears onscreen, looking at Freddy and the Scorbunny curiously.]
This is Hulud. He's a Trapinch, and my Pokemon partner. That's a fine Scorbunny you have as yours. Pokémon are fascinating creatures, you're right.

[He smiles brighter at the sight of the Trapinch, Scorbunny moving to get closer to the screen, even though for a moment he obscures some of Freddy's face with his ears.]
Hulud, is that a name from your home? I named this firecracker Bonbon, after a friend of mine.
[He gives the Scorbunny a gentle scritch behind an ear, making the pokemon give a happy little sound.]
