[ Wow, that lady sure is fancy as all hell. Rose feels immediately, severely underdressed in her band T-shirt and torn jeans. Having been told about the ferry to another place, the blond wanted to check it out but... Hm. ]

I guess it's a choice between what risks you wanna' take. [ Rhea wasn't talking to her, she knows, but Rose has a habit of butting in to conversations like so. ]

Potentially drowning at worst, seasickness at best. Or, y'know, into the woods where kami knows what is waiting. [ On the blond's shoulder rests what looks like a bug poking out of an ice shell. It peers at Rhea and the Ralts curiously but doesn't make a sound yet. ]

[How... very optimistic in terms of input. At first, Rhea isn't even certain she's the one being addressed. Her attention turns from the ralts who quickly hides itself in Rhea's skirts and onto Rose, taking more than a few breaths to really assess her. She's an informal sort, isn't she? It's not an idea lost on Rhea. Only one that she has rarely had the self-perceived luxury to partake in. Yet, even if she should have had such things available to her, she doubts she would have taken them.

Her attention turns onto her own companion for some moments before returning it to her more immediate companion.]

You seem well-informed. Are you local here?

[Although one has to wonder if that's the right word for it. She certainly does seem as though she fits right into the scenery. Rhea stands out. It wouldn't take a real deep observation to point that out.]

[ Rose doesn't mind the brief pause of assessment. Honestly, she expects it. Rhea doesn't look like the type to get out much. No offense intended, of course, just... That outfit doesn't lend itself to someone that's out and about. ]

Pft, me? Nah. Glad I already seem like I know what I'm doing though. [ Her adaptability works in her favor yet again. ]

I know enough to get around though so, y'know, if you need any help- I'm here.

[Rhea could have been fooled, she realises in hindsight, even in the face of Rosalina's truth. Of course, in a word that is foreign, it is important not to swallow all things as gospel. As such, the archbishop comes with a healthy dose of scepticism at best.

Local or not, she seems to be a fount of knowledge. It would be a shame not to use that to her advantage.]

It seems you did not favour either route—sea or its alternative. [She smiles kindly before she continues.] Although that may be the case, which would you choose, given what you know of this place and its... unique characteristics?

Honestly? The ocean's fucking terrifying.

[ She's just going to lay that out there. Also, uh. It only occurs to her belatedly that maybe she shouldn't swear around the pretty, gilded lady. Oops. Too late now! ]

So, I'd rather take my chances in the tall grass and woods. At least I know how to navigate those.

['Fucking terrifying.' What an... expressive description. Rhea has, undoubtedly, been around a variety of people. Those with elegant tongues. Those without. Whatever her true feelings on such informal language, she remains at peace on the exterior. As if to imply that so very little can touch her.]

You must have quite a history with the ocean to feel so strongly about it. [A personal history, perhaps. A fear...? Rhea declines from prying too deeply into it. After all, Rosalina has been kind enough to provide an answer. She finds her attention turning back into the direction of the route opposite the docks. Perhaps that is the way to go then.] I appreciate your input. I remain undecided, yet I suppose I have no real preferences either way. To me, they are both foreign directions in a foreign world. I suspect my travelling will be much the same, regardless of which path I take.

Not the ocean specifically, but water in general kind of freaks me out. [ A fear. She doesn't want to get into it much more than that though. Not right now, not with a stranger. ]

Yeah, I think they're just kind of giving us the illusion of choice? Like, if it feels like we have more say in it things won't seem as awful. Or something. Not that I do think things are awful, just- Weird.

[Not awful. Just weird. Not the word choice Rhea would use, and yet effective nonetheless. She nods along slowly, dropping her gaze onto the ralts at her skirts. It might be a bit easier if it would provide her some direction as well. The only thing it seems inclined to do at this point is to stay near her.

Truthfully, Rhea is a bit relieved for the companionship. To be truly in solitude... Such things do not bring her comfort. At least in Fódlan she's had her brethren. Here, she has no such luxuries.]

You have been most helpful. [She begins kindly as she folds her hands together once more.] For that, I am appreciative. If I may, are you normally making visit here to help some who have only recently arrived? [Or can it be that this chance encounter is truly... by chance?]

[ Similarly, Rose only had her snow worm as company and... It isn't the most talkative sort! None of them appear to be, really, but since they're more akin to animals than people, well- It's not surprising. ]

Me? Oh, yeah, I've been kind of circling back this way now and again. It kind of helped, at first, to know I wasn't going it alone? Or, like, not the only one super stupid lost about everything. If I can help people get used to things, then... Why not, right?
