You won't get anywhere hitting it.

[At least, Iwaizumi didn't think so. He was pretty sure.

Reaching for the strap across his shoulder, he pulled his backpack off and dropped it on he ground. Then he crouched down, pulled out his PokeGear and aimed it at the critter to find out what it was called.]

Huh... It's called a Cubone. Now you know.

[kingcat]

I ain't hittin' it I'm knockin' sense into it. [He levels his very best 'I'm going to eat you right now' glare on Iwaizumi, watching him and his backpack closely, like he expects there to be weapons in it or something.] The fuck did you do? An' it ain't a whatever-bone it's a hollow. Can't you see it's mask? [He knocks a knuckle on the bone snout, and the poor little thing starts wailing. Again, apparently, if Grimmjow's heavy sigh is anything to go by.]

[See now, he gets that. However this little Cubone was an innocent animal so knocking sense into it seemed cruel. The glare he got though? Iwaizumi was unphased by it as he shoved his 'Gear back into his pack.]

It's called a Pokemon. And it's name is Cubone. If it's yours you can give it a name. But keep knocking it's head and you'll just make it run away. So good luck with that.

[kingcat]

It's a hollow. [Grimmjow repeats it slowly, like Iwaizumi is stupid. He picks up the Cubone, so he can see the pokemon's face.] Got a mask. And a hole. [And he turns the Cubone around to give Iwaizumi a look under the poor thing's tail, for just a few seconds before putting the Cubone down again.] Stop cryin', or I'm gonna eat you.

[The Cubone did not stop crying.]

[He was all set to argue... until the weirdo actually did it. He officially became the strangest, craziest person he had met in this strange and crazy place and he was done with it.]

You're making it cry and why're you showing me that? What's wrong with you? Are you some kind of dumbass? Did you fall and rattle your braincells or something? Do people go around abusing animals where you're from?

[Iwaizumi decided to hell with it, he darted forward, quick as you please, and snatched up the Cubone before darting out of reach.]

Stop bullying it!

[Grimmjow grins in that big, toothy way he has, about ready to kill Iwaizumi with a scathing comment of some kind when the little bastard swoops in and grabs his fracción.] It ain't an animal any more'n I am, you stupid human. [Apparently that is a very, very vulgar insult where he's from, if his tone is anything to go by.

And then he jumps up, and launches himself at Iwaizumi in a way that screams both experience and a very different level of strength than he's used to, because as he does get some ground clearance, he is very confused about how he just. Drops back into the dirt, landing lightly on his feet.] The fuck? The fuck did you do?! [Yeah, he's blaming everything on you, Iwaizumi. Your bad luck for being there when he discovered he has been reduced to human. And since he can't just pounce, well. He can still run, and that's what he's doing, aiming to tackle with no regard to the safety of anyone or anything.]

[Ichigo sees Grimmjow getting ready to charge at some guy holding a pokemon. It looks like the guy holding the pokemon is the victim, which isn't surprising. So he runs, drops his right shoulder, and tries to side tackle the arrancar.]

[Grimmjow does not see it coming. He doesn't even sense that Ichigo is remotely close by, and he has not yet realized just how severely his senses have been dulled.

So Ichigo connects almost perfectly, and the sound Grimmjow makes is far from dignified as all the air is forced from his lungs and he tumbles across the ground. He is discovering in real time that his Hierro is gone, and his pain tolerance? Nonexistent. He's gonna be down. For a minute.]

[Iwaizumi straight up has no idea what's going on. This weirdo guy must have been really low in the IQ department to not understand the things he was being told. And even getting to the point of trying to attack him.

That was fine. Iwaizumi's eyes narrowed and he was more than ready to smack a bitch. He could have dodged but what was the point in that? No way. He was going to deck him. Amusing his Pokemon was a perfectly good reason for knocking this weirdo on his ass.

Before he could make a move someone got in his way. Iwaizumi had to pull himself back so he didn't hit the stranger instead. And somehow he was irritated by this. He watched as the Weirdo was knocked down and stayed there, then shot a glare at the new Weirdo. If he was expecting gratitude all he got was a grumpy frown.]

I could have handled that.

“Mm, doubtful. He and I are from the same world, and he hasn’t been human in who know how many centuries. He doesn’t know his own strength, and I’m not even sure how strong he is here.” Ichigo doesn’t say it to be rude, and he honestly isn’t even looking at the person he just saved from being tackled. He’s looking at the vulpix in his apron and making sure she’s still comfy after that tackle.

[Oh he was going to hurt this guy too.]

The hell're you talking about 'hasn't been human'?

I don't care who you are. Get in my way again and I'll kick your ass too!

[He was angry, justifiably so. Seeing a guy hurting a poor, defenceless animal and then go to attack him, only for some random guy with a hero complex to come swooping in like he was a damsel in distress. He could defend himself just fine on his own.]

"I mean that he's a cannibalistic ghost in our world. He's used t' things being a different way, and he thinks that little Cubone is the same kind of creature."

Ichigo knew Grimmjow was wrong, but they were the same, and he wasn't going to let someone bully the arrancar.
