Aside from being back here and dealing with this nonsense again?

[He tilts his head, questioning. There's something off here...]

'Again'? You mean you've been here before?

[They do not remember hearing anything about Estinien falling off the face of Etheirys before...though in all fairness, it's not like it's all that easy to keep constant track of him in the first place.]

When did this happen?

[He thinks he might know what's going on here. He's experienced that before, too, thanks to this place--what was that other Warrior's name? Zinnia? No...]

First, I was here for near a year and a half.

[He shifts, awkward, as he tries to think of the best way to broach this. He's not exactly subtle but he also finds that he doesn't wish to cause undue harm, especially if they're to spend longer here than the other warrior had. Finally he just sighs and decides to be blunt about it.]

You are the Warrior of Light, are you not? You seem familiar with me, though I don't know you.

[They mirror Estinien's awkward shuffle, though they frown more out of confusion and a mounting suspicion of 'something is wrong again'. And sure enough--]

I--yes, I am? [Is he from before they had come to assist Ishgard? But--no, he's not acting right for that, none of that razor edge that had clung to him until Nidhogg was finally put down for good.] You don't remember any of--when we'd worked together?

[He grumbles and shakes his head. Of course it's this again. How many different variations of their world could there possibly be, and why is it only one person different between them? It makes no sense at all.]

I do remember, just not with you.

[He shrugs.]

It's an odd thing to say, I know, but this place defies most reason. The Warrior I am familiar with is a dark-haired Hyur man.
