[Unconsciously, his hand drifts up to where the very tip of his ear should be. Instead, it alights on empty air, and he has to remind himself to draw his hand inward. There's a faint, vaguely noteworthy point to his ears, but otherwise they are painfully short.
His hearing, of course, has suffered as well. Though perhaps that's just the incessant music in the background.]
I hail from a star called Hydaelyn. And yourself?

Toril, as it happens. I have never heard of Hydaelyn—still, there is much of the planar systems I know but little about. What sort of folk were you before this translation to human?—I myself was a dark elf, although one who only wishes to live a peaceful and honest life upon the surface.

And yet, on a Shard of his own home, the term "elf" had taken root instead. And though he has little cause to believe it related, he tucks this away all the same. If nothing else, once everything was said and done, he might have information to present to the Scions.

That said—just because we have a long natural span does not mean we often live it out fully. With dark elves such as I, it is a fortunate drow who makes it to the end of his second century.

T'would seem that, regardless of our origins, we have much in common Ser...

[Aymeric hesitates here. It isn't that he doesn't want to introduce himself, simply doesn't know how. It's clear that he's far from home, just as his companion is. And while he hardly expects this Drizzt fellow to have it out for him, he still cannot help but wonder if offering his full name is the best idea.
Never mind his motley collection of titles.]
Aymeric. Of Ishgard.
