[Romelle nodded.]

I have heard that many of the Blades were forced to do unpleasant things in the name of maintaining their cover. I am sorry you had to experience that. It was good then, that they were finally able to meet you. Their alliance together helped them a lot during their battles, even if things were still difficult.

[She remembered how distressed Krolia and Keith both had been when they found out many of the Blades had been taken out by Macidus and some of the other Galra Druids in their attempts to get back into Haggar's- Honerva's good graces. But she did smile a little, albeit a bit sadly.]

Yes. There is an entire colony of us. The point in time I am from back home is difficult. We're working to save them. Honerva, or, as you might remember her, Haggar, has taken them under her control. We're attempting to find them now. We had been under Lotor's control all this time, hidden away from the rest of the universe. If Keith and Krolia had not found that day, we'd likely still be there.

[He nodded] They were and they couldn't show one tik of regret or hesitation for it or they would be caught. My position was as a medical technician, specifically on the ships where slaves were kept.

[He would not go into more detail. She could probably imagine enough anyway if she was at all aware that the Galra Empire had considered very few races even comparable to their own]

Sounds like it has been quite difficult, first with Prince Lotor, and then the witch. I do not envy anyone having to fight against her. She does not truly care about most things unless it benefits her. I hope that you are successful in retrieving them from her.

[Oh, she got the hint alright. She knew enough about the things that had happened under the Empire by now.] I am sorry.

But, yes... it was definitely not easy. But people know about them now, and what's happened. And we're going to find them again wherever they've been taken to from that colony, and we're going to help them. I'm sure of that.

That is a good attitude. You will surely be successful in your endeavor.

[Positivity counted for something. After all, Blades who went into missions assuming they were going to die probably would. Even if the odds were against them, believing they would be successful at least might help the cause overall]

[Romelle smiled a little and nodded.]

I certainly hope so.

For now, though, we're here, and we should enjoy any respite we can have.

Yes, I agree. It has been so long since I have been on a planet and not another ship in space.

[He might have sounded a bit nostalgic about that]

And I have a companion.

[Romelle smiled at that.]

It's true. The Pokémon do certainly make good companions. I've started to enjoy traveling around this world with them.

[Poochyena lifted her head, stood up and stretched before turning to look at Romelle. Hello, new person]

I still only have her, but I feel that I would enjoy having more as well.

[Romelle chuckled a little and reached over to pat the small pup on her head.]

I wasn't sure about a lot of this place at first, but I do enjoy having the companionship these creatures offer.

[Aww, new person gives good pets! Poochyena was happy]

Yes, I think that is the thing which will help the most. That and being able to spend sometime on a planet again.

Do you prefer being on a planet over being in outerspace?

[She knew some people had preferences.]

It has been so long since I had the chance to be on a planet that it is certainly novel to me. It is a good change of pace.

[He reached over to pet the poochyena who flopped against him, very happy]

I suppose I was never really on a planet before I went with the Paladins, either. The colony was... Well, it wasn't what I thought.

[Romelle looked down at her hands for a moment.]

I've never really thought about it all that much before, though.

A colony? Then it just looked like the outdoors?

We were on some sort of asteroid, I believe, inside a very large structure that held an ecosystem inside for us to reside in. It felt like a planet. It had gravity, and wind, and weather, and there was a sky with clouds and stars... day and night hours. The person who created it did a lot of work to make it as much like a planet as possible.

But we were still captive there, unable to leave on our own. We were being "kept safe" from some Galra who were still hunting Alteans after our respective worlds had been destroyed.

[She looked down at her hands.]

It wasn't... terrible. But, it also was still a prison, in a way.

I see. I can't say that I am surprised unfortunately. The Galra and those who work with them sometimes have very strange ideas. I can't disagree that they wouldn't have been hunting Alteans, but neither option was particularly good.

It was also almost ten thousand years ago that the Alteans all went into hiding. I was born on the colony. I doubt there are many who are still alive from that time, Galra or Altean.

[So, no... she wouldn't have expected Ulaz to be able to speak for what was happening with the Galra back then. At least, not in a first-person perspective. It would just be what he knew from his people's history, same as her.]

But, I am glad to have met some of the Blades over time. Back home, I met Keith, Krolia, and Kolivan... and here I've met Thace, and now you. I know that you've overcome so much and worked very hard in very dangerous situations to try to undermine what Zarkon was doing. I appreciate all of that.

That is very true. I imagine there wouldn't be many who could remember that. Even if it is only because of the in-fighting amongst the Galra themselves.

[He'd witnessed too many times various commanders picking fights with each other and either having it out amongst themselves or dragging others into it with them. Frowned upon though it maybe, there was still an air of acceptance that violence was normal]

At the time that I met them, no one was aware of the Blade of Marmora outside of our group. I am pleased to hear that knowledge of the Blades has spread and they are doing more in the fight against Zarkon. I spent too much time being eyes and ears on a Galra ship.

[Not that it wasn't important, but frankly speaking he was too old for that. But his legacy was still that he had assisted the paladins in connecting with the Blades. He would take that]

I know that there was a lot of waiting for a long time for all of you, hoping for the right moment. It seems Voltron brought you that moment and gave you the ability to act.

[She smiled softly.]

Something like that must have been hard to do.

[Ulaz nodded, reaching over to pet his poochyena again]

That is correct. We spent a long time in the shadows. I felt that we could have done more working with another ally rather than working alone.

It was difficult. One has to behave fully as though you accept what they do. If you falter where it can be seen, it could be your last. It was not a task for every Blade.

I imagine it wasn't. [She looked a bit concerned for a moment, wondering just how many times someone might have almost slipped up and been caught. It was a sad thought.] You were right, though. Working together helped everyone make so much more progress.

It was not something that Kolivan liked to consider. He is rather set in his ways, but it sounds like that he was eventually willing to accept the assistance.

[Romelle smiled a little.]

Keith and Krolia care for Kolivan a great deal. They respect him.

That is good. He has been the leader for a long time and he has been very good at it.

I imagine he would have to be to have been able to keep the group running for so long.
