[A vespiqueen is certainly not the sort of thing Lorenz would dare to get into a fight with but that's partially because he's also... well rather horribly unsettled by bugs alright. But he recognizes that voice and spurs his rapidash into a canter. Which... makes for a rather spectacular entrance, Safrano's flames surging brighter as he charges past the vespiqueen, using Fire Spin as they rush past. Conveniently, it's super effective.]

Ignatz! [He doesn't even check to see if the move was enough to knock the bug type out, immediately reaching out a hand, intending to swing Ignatz up onto the stallion behind him, a familiar move even if, for Lorenz, it's been years since he executed it.]

[The fire spin is a magnificent sight, as Ignatz has found many Pokemon's attacks are. But there's no room for his artistic eye to take extended notice of that right now. It all happens quickly, and Ignatz lets himself be pulled up, as surprised as he is grateful to see Lorenz.

He grips his classmate's shoulders, not confident that he won't otherwise fall off of their ride. Looking back, Vespiquen seems dazed and is staying down... Which the Combee don't like at all. They're in pursuit, and then Ignatz realizes so is Justice, or at least, he's trying to be. He has some questions for Lorenz, but first thing's first.]

Lorenz, wait! My Pokemon-!

[Lorenz nods, pulling Safrano into a tight turn and cutting back the way they'd come. He's pulling another pokeball from his belt as he does so, not slowing down until they're back close enough that he can engage the vespiqueen before she has an opportunity to get the jump on them while they tend to the combee. ]

Mister Whiskers, play rough!

[A sharp order as he tosses out that second pokeball. Before he really has time to try to look back over his shoulder at Ignatz there's a tiny Floette tapping at Ignatz' hand, gesturing to his own pokeballs, trying to indicate now is the time to recall his houndour, while their enemies are occupied by a raging ball of pink fluff. Is that... is that a skitty? Is that one of the old lady's skitties from New Bark Town???.

That... sure is a very grumpy skitty, made even grumpier by the trio of combee throwing one bug buzz after another at him.]

[Ignatz manages to tear his eyes away from the fury of the Skitty, and looks over to Floette - and does a doubletake, as Faith has evolved to this stage by now. Perhaps because Faith is also very communicative, he understands what this Floette is trying to say, and nods. Justice is recalled, and then Ignatz reaches for his Pokeballs again.

He has never been one to shy away from seeking help, but he wants to return that kind of gesture when he can. Justice may not have been able to battle further, but Ignatz isn't out of Pokemon yet. Sure, this is breaking the rules of the contest. He'll no doubt be disqualified, but that's hardly a concern at this point. He throws a Pokeball and out comes a Pachirisu.]

Chase, hit the Combee with Electro Ball!

[Sparks gather around Chase's cheeks, growing in size and changing shape until they've formed a sphere in front of his face. Chase unleashes this on one of the Combee, and immediately gears up for another attack before even seeing if the Bug Pokemon goes down. It seems like the Pachirisu was a good call for this fight, but one has to wonder why he wasn't sent out when Justice was first in trouble?]

[Learning the ins and outs of weaknesses and moves is a vast task in memorization, Lorenz can hardly blame Ignatz for not making the best tactical decisions right away. In fact he'd had every intention to make a run for it as soon as Justice was back in his ball but Ignatz decides to make another go of the fight and Lorenz looks to Mister Whiskers.

The skitty barely manages to dodge an Air Cutter and it's a good thing he does or there might be one unconcious skitty on the field. Lorenz nods sharply and Mister Whiskers unleashes another Play Rough.... which takes out the vespiquen, thank the Goddess.]

Ignatz? Can you handle the Combee?

[He asks as he calls Mister Whiskers back to his ball. The skitty needs to see a nurse before he does anything else but Lorenz has other pokemon that can help. Still, Ignatz must be very new here so he'd rather give his pokemon the chance to try.]
