This place gets great cell reception!

But you know, the whole kidnapping thing is kind of a major downside. Does anyone know where the hell I am?

Now she’s hopping from rooftop to rooftop in Violet City. It does in fact look like she could fall and break her neck at any moment.]

Yeah, the cell reception is one thing this place has going for it.

Honestly, no one's really sure where this is. It's a world filled with animals called Pokemon. We're expected to work with them to get by here.

Oh wow. Those are cute as hell! So you've got like a bunch of pets and they're called Pokemon? My parents have a bird. He's a pretty cool bird, doing his bird things.

Yeah, they can be pets. Mine are. Pokemon love to battle each other and some people like indulging them and getting prizes for that called Gym Badges. I don't really see the appeal myself! But since the Pokemon like it, I can respect it.

Birds are nice. I never had any pets until I came here.

Battling? Isn't making animals fight like illegal or something?

Oh yeah birds are super cool! I mean mine doesn't but hawks and shit? Super effing awesome. Don't mess with hawks.

Not in this world. I still have trouble getting used to that.

That's a good philosophy. Yeah, birds of prey can be pretty dangerous. I see hawks flying around back home sometimes. Owls too.

I don't know how to feel about that actually.

Oh man owls are cool too. We've got lots of owls in Possum Springs. I like the sounds they make. Hoot hoot! Just hanging out at night and eating mice. That's the life. I mean I don't wanna eat mice but hanging out at night and making hooting sounds and flying around would be pretty cool.

[If Radley wasn't already familiar with the very first games from back home, he was sure he would have completely freaked out coming here.

My friend Scotch loves owls. He likes anything that's spooky, or that's often associated with spooky things.
