[ Some time later, a massive Corviknight soars into view, landing several yards away with a loud 'Crawwww!' Byleth slips off it's back. He's wearing modern clothes and he has a satchel slung over his shoulder. Lifting his hand in greeting. ]

Hello! Are you hungry?

I'll be waiting Professor~

[Yuri was messing with Aria's bowtie wanting his precious little spritzee to look extra cute when Byleth arrived only for his own hair to get tusseled by the wind from the giant bird. Byleth surely knew how to make an entrance and whatever weird clothes he was wearing seemed to work for him. Yuri wasn't going to complain.]

Are you here to whisk me away to some romantic date? Perhaps some desserts?

Ah...

I see you are in good spirits, Yuri.

[ The flirting, the teasing, it's how he knows Yuri is well. ]

Well, I was going to take you home to the rest of the Fodlan denizens... but if you want dessert then I can't really say no to that.

Come.

[ He offers Yuri a hand up, to assist him in climbing onto Mac and Cheese who dips low to accommodate his trainer and their guest. ]

Don't worry. It's like riding a Wyvern.

The rest of us? I take it there are many here than. I wouldn't mind visiting them later after I get some alone time with you

[He's examining the beautiful bird pokemon, petting it on the head before he takes Byleth's hand, a small smile on his face]

Oh I'm not nervous with you by my side. You're going to have to tell me where you got this beauty later. I want one.

[He hops onto the giant bird, fitting snug between the dark feathers and Byleth. He's totally leaning back against the Professor for extra support, no other reason. Aria finds a spot between Yuri and Mac and Cheese to snuggle into.]

Indeed. Many of the Blue Lions reside here, as well as Claude and Lorenz.

[ Once he's certain Yuri is comfortably seated against him, he pats the bird who crows once before taking off into the sky. It's a fairly comfortable ride! Mac is well trained to keep a stead flight path. ]

I wouldn't mind helping you catch one... though it may be easier to encounter the pre-evolution, Rookidee.

I'll have to find them all later.

[Oh he is very content in the sky's. It's an added bonus that the Professor is holding him even if it's just for safety reasons]

I'd like that. I think I'd look rather majestic with one of my own. Don't you agree?

[ Aria chirps in agreement and closes her eyes to take a nap]

No doubt you will find many wonderful companions here. As I have. It's an incredibly peaceful place.

I'm glad you'll get to experience it. I don't think I've ever been so at ease before.

[ The landscape below rushes by them as they fly. It's going to be a bit of a journey to get home, but one that he's made time and time again. ]

Let me know when you feel hungry or if you want to take a break.

I don't think I know how to take it easy, Professor. However for you I might try.

[He leans back into Byleth's hold. Its warm but...still. Odd. There isn't enough clothing between them for him to not feel a beat. He's going to have to ask about that later.]

I'll let you decide where the winds take us.

[ He leans forward just enough, and Yuri can actually feel a faint heartbeat there now. Even more curious. He was quite surprised to find that he did have one when he arrived in this place, but pleasantly so.

He takes a leisurely route, showing Yuri a lot of the more scenic countryside, where various species of Pokemon can be seen below, some even closer flying near them in the sky as well. ]

Pokemon are wonderful creatures. Different than the animals back home... they have amazing intelligence. Some can even speak!

[ He takes the time to point out various species and landmarks as they go. Eventually setting down in a small town for lunch. ]

I know a nice stir-fry place around here. [ He explains as he helps Yuri dismount his corviknight. ]

[It's all very interesting as he exams this new world from this different vantage point. It makes him think that maybe when or if he returns home he might take up some classes in aerial combat just to experience home like this.]

Speak as in speak our language? Not just make noises?

[He enjoys the embrace, feeling a soft beat. He must not have leaned back far enough before but he finds this embrace is very pleasant and he misses it once they descend.]

Any bit of food sounds good right now. I trust your judgement.

[He grabs the still sleeping Aria carefully and cradles her against his chest as his free hand takes Byleth's hand as he descends.]

Indeed! My partner Breakfast has learned to communicate in such a way, though he doesn't speak with his voice, but with his mind. He is a "psychic" type.

[ He leads the way into town until they end up at a small food stall. The smell of everything is wonderful. They really only serve one thing here; vegetable stir-fry, which he orders several portions of, along with some fresh berry juice.

They find a small picnic seating area not too far away where they can settle down. Byleth setting out the food for everyone... and subsequently releasing his team from their pokeballs to eat.

Breakfast the Meowstic is first, given a small plate. Followed by Mac and Cheese who takes a much larger serving. Soup the Absol, Snuggles the Minccino, Clippy the Null, and Swordie the Doublade are all also given portions according to their size. ]

Would your partner like to try some? Or they can have some berries if they prefer.

Your partner breakfast....speaks with it's mind.

[Yuri shouldn't be surprised that Byleth would name at least one of his pokemon after food. He wonders if there is one named just 'fish' yet. If not he isn't going to suggest it. He's just going to pretend he didn't hear about a pokemon using telepathy to talk either. He's suddenly very happy Aria can't do that.

The walk through town was pleasant and the food did smell good. Yuri couldn't ever hope to compete with Byleth's appetite but he was indeed a bit ravenous right now.

Yuri makes a point to sit close to Byleth, his leg gracing the others as Aria sits in his lap]

Berries for her please. You have a lot of pokemon already, should I be concerned I don't have enough?

Yes.

[ He answers very simply. He offers no further explanation, in his very Byleth-way. Instead focusing on doling out the food.

Aria is offered three oran berries. ]

No, you find them at your own pace really. I wouldn't worry about how many you have. Every Pokemon I have caught I have done so through forming a friendship with them.

Except Bitey. He just kind of came with me. I'm not sure why.

Ah I see. I suppose I can use the power of friendship to make allies.

[ Just saying that out loud is ridiculous, he doesn't believe it honestly. How could friendship be the key to victory, that's literally the stuff of fairytales.]

[At least aria is happy and eating]

Bitey? I think we need to work on your naming of your pokemon.

It's the best way, to be perfectly honest.

[ Oh he is 1000% serious. ]

[ Do you really have the heart to say his naming sucks to his face Yuri? DO YOU? ]

[Well of course he isn't cruel enough to tell the Byleth his naming abilities are awful, not when he is giving him THAT look]

Ah..um..nothing. It's just a unique name?

[Yes Unique, he will go with that over weird]

Anyway, is there anything of note that's happened without me Professor? Perhaps something I should know for my own journey?
