[Even with having been to Tokyo back home, big cities were still on the more awe inspiring side. Though Tobio is not as vocal about it as Hinata would be, the radio tower was still impressive to look at and has him staring for a few minutes. His Murkrow is sitting on his shoulder and paying more attention to the people around him.

Anyone who gets to close will get a warning rumble from the bird. Approach this oblivious guy and his potential mean bird at own risk.

Otherwise he seems to have found the vending machines on top of the department store. Tobio seems to irritated at something as he scans the very meager options that they had. Where's his Murkrow? Nearby. Always watching. Always waiting.]

Radley hurries after her. That Murkrow does not look friendly.]

[Evie stops, tail swishing. "Vee?"]

[Between the clacking beak and the loud voice, Tobio finally pulls his eyes away from the tower to look at.......]

[Or a fox? These creatures here were still very confusing. His Murkrow lets out something like a sigh and somehow looks rather done with his trainers observation.]

[Radley chuckles and picks Evie up.]

She's an Eevee. Pretty much a cross between a fox and a rabbit. And a cat.

[Evie nuzzles him.]

[Cat-rabbit-fox. Who said Pokemon had to make sense. They certainly don't to him with an oversized crow with a weird hat. He does nod as this info is relayed since this Radley man seems to know what's up.]

[With the name Radley, this guy was some kind of English speaker... which is confusing since his English skills are not the greatest. How is he understanding everyone??]

And this crow thing is a Murkrow.

[Radley is Spanish-American and indeed speaking English. He does know some Japanese too.]

Yeah, I've seen Murkrows from time to time. I've never been this close to one, though.

[Evie tries again to say Hi!]

[In the future, Tobio will know another language. But for now? He's just a monolingual sort-of-idiot.

As for the Murkrow? He snaps his beak at the Eevee. About as close to a hello as she'll get.]

Do they stay away from people?

[Sounds about how crows are back home unless you feed them.]

[Evie's ears and tail droop. Radley pets her.]

Most of the ones we saw wanted to battle us, unfortunately. But that's pretty standard for a lot of the wild Pokemon we see, not just the Murkrows.

[First it was Atsumu freakin Miya of all people showing up a month ago and then disappearing while leaving his Thievul to take care of, now Tooru sees yet another person from home. And that just so happens to be none other than the crow brat... With his own crow it seems.

Yeah, Tooru doesn't fall for the intimidating rumble from the corvid, not when he has his own much stronger and much larger corvid of his own. Though his Corviknight isn't out of his ball at the moment, but unfortunately Kuroo, his Liepard and King of Cat Crimes is. Kuroo also doesn't care about the rumbling bird as he and Tooru approach, both with semi sour looks. But maybe Tooru will behave as his expression softens. Tobio isn't the insufferable brat that Atsumu is.]

What a nice surprise, seeing you here Tobio-chan~ cute bird too.

[That just sounds like a crow in general. Though he's used to seeing entire flocks, not just the one on his shoulder.]

Fighting an entire flock with that fox cat would be hard.

[Even Murkrows have weaknesses if this whole typing chart was to be believed.]

Is catching them the only way to make them stop fighting everything?

[Tobio-chan... Only one person calls him that, and it has Tobio look right at the person with the most annoyed expression. What was Oikawa doing here?! It was annoying enough to be stuck in a weird world that he's still convinced is just some very detailed and long dream, but now this.

His Murkrow seems to pick up his trainers mood as he snaps his beak at the newcomers.]

Oikawa. [What are they supposed to talk about that isn't about volleyball... The giant cat catches his attention and gives him something to focus on.] You're a cat person?

Fighting an entire flock would be hard with any one Pokemon! Unless maybe it's a powerful Psychic or something. Thankfully, we've only encountered one at a time.

[He ponders.]

Probably not, since all Pokemon have different personalities and some will still wanna fight.

A. Goldenrod City

[Bakura is used to keep falling on his feet, no matter how dire or absurd the situation he gets tossed in. As the Spirit of the Ring he has to be able to do at least this much, his not so small faible for Shadow Games notwithstanding. Still, this situation is bad. Really, really bad. He has neither access to his magic nor to the mind of his host, which is a damn nuisance if he's ever had one. Having to deal with all those idiots yelling about Team Rocket this and Team Rocket that kept him constantly on the verge of murder, the risk of blowing his cover be damned!

But in the end the pretense of being his host has paid off. He has been ranked as one of the candidates with the lowest potential at the end of their obligatory training and sent on a lowest of grunts mission just so that the higher ups will have him out of their heir. Nobody expects anything from 'Ryou', not do they care enough to check on him. Which is just perfect!

Bakura has spent the last three days scoping his new surroundings out, stealing what he needs and sating his curiosity, before he finally returned to his Rocket uniform and his act. So you get a confused-looking fluffy teen in a Rocket Outfit, approaching you with a sheepish smile.]

Excuse me, do you know if this is the shop where those Rotoms are supposed to be haunting? I'm supposed to catch one...

Okay, so why the hell do ghosts need to eat and what the fuck are you supposed to feed them?!

It can't be Bakura. He's far too smart to do something like this. So Marik hisses and pulls the other teen off into an alley, making sure no one has spotted or followed them.

He's only doing this because if this is Ryou, perhaps Bakura is in there somewhere as well.

And he doubts the spirit would want his host getting caught by the police for being so reckless.]

[Iwaizumi had been out for a run, training Keler when he'd decided to take a break. And by a break he'd taken himself to the department store and straight up to the top floor. There were vending machines there and seats where he could relax and enjoy the breeze.

What he didn't expect to see when he stepped up to one of the machines and shoved his money in, was to casually glance to the left and immediately do a double-take. It was damn near comical. Who ever expected to see someone they knew in such an unlikely of place? In a world that wasn't even their own.]

[There was a huge question mark there, because maybe this wasn't him? Maybe it was someone who looked like him? Really looked like him... Same scowl and everything...]

[Marik is lucky that Bakura is caught equally unaware. His eyes turn wide in surprise and his body goes stiff in expectation for an attack. He has just barely time to regain his wits and not let his aggression seep through before he's already being grabbed and dragged away.]

[His curse dies on his lips as he sees just how scandalized his former 'partner' in crime is looking. More like a fucking klutz getting between his legs for all the failure he'd proven at carrying his own weight in the end of Battle City, but oh well. They hadn't exactly been enemies before. That was before the idiot had decided to forget his pride and kowtow to the Pharaoh, of course.

But that reaction is hilarious. Maybe he should mess with the idiot some more, see how long it'll take before he catches on.

So he blinks, droops his shoulders lightly like a scolded schoolboy, and gives Marik a look that'll hopefully more confused than challenging.]

Ishtar-kun? Why are you- no, why would I be arrested in the first place? All I'm doing is asking a question about a monster that's supposed to cause some trouble.

[Marik is too busy freaking out to notice how Bakura himself reacts. Need to get this idiot boy out of sight before they draw attention.

[It's a good thing his Ring is hidden safely beneath his clothes. Though Bakura figures that it'd even make sense for his host to have it, if there's ever a need to explain. His landlord loves the thing.

He makes a noise under his breath as he tries not to laugh. Hopefully it'll pass as a reaction to Marik hitting a sore point with his host. After a moment where he has to lower his head to hide his grin, he manages a desolate smile.]

[The blonde is too focused on his own thoughts and anger to notice the facade.

He's about to smack him upside the head for being all self-deprecating (good lord, Marik. Calm down.) but his following statement gives him pause.

Marik will admit, he doesn't know much about Ryou or how much he's aware of when it comes to Bakura. But that last comment has him suspicious.

He places a hand on the alley brick wall next to Ryou's head and leans in far too close for comfort, violet eyes studying the boy's face intensely.]

How do you know who Shadi is?

[He leans back but doesn't break eye contact. Instead he narrows his eyes a little, furrows his brows and pulls a bout.]

Because I met him, of course. Yuugi told me about him too, he's one of... Well, not one of his other self's friends, but like. ...an ally? He has something to do with the items? I'm sorry, I don't know him very well. We only met once, when we all went to the museum to unlock the Pharaoh's memories, and ...well.... ....

We all wanted to help, but he used one of the items and said that I couldn't come. Only me. It's embarrassing, but I left right after.

[That episode had been both a lucky break for Bakura because it'd given him an excuse to split from their little friendship squad, but it had also made him want to kill Shadi once again. Ryou's hurt had radiated that strongly that even he had felt it as if it were his own, and it had royally pissed him off. Nobody but him got to pick on his host without his prior permission!]

[Color him impressed than Ryou didn't back down. The explanation is satisfactory for him as well. He backs off, instead crossing his arms as he gives the other teen another look over.

Gods, he looks ridiculous in that get up. Like trying to make a puppy look intimidating.]

He probably sensed the Spirit of the Ring. Don't take it personally.

[He clicks his tongue.]

We need to get you out of that uniform and figure out how to have you quit the organization. If there's even a way. Because they'll get you into more trouble than Yugi and his friends do.

[Success! He makes sure not to show his trademark smirk as he blinks up at Marik.]

You want me to undress?

[OH MY GOD RYOU. Marik's shoulders slump and his expression is just... one of both annoyance and pity.

This kid is hopeless.]

No, you fool. Do you have a change of clothes? What did you arrive here in?

[Okay, he can't hold it anymore! He starts laughing, although he still manages to keep the worst cackling out of it. Wiping a tear away from his eyes, he smiles at Marik.

Keeping acting was definitely the right choice! Now he only needs a really good time for the reveal.]

Relax! You were so tense that I couldn't resist trying to break the mood a bit! I understand what you want from me, I really do! I just fear that it won't be so easy as just changing clothes.

[He wants to pull his hair out at this point. Why did he even bother helping this git. Is it because he still feels some strange sense of camaraderie towards the Spirit? That's the only explanation that makes sense to him.

Marik inhales and slowly exhales, trying to calm himself down. No point in strangling the poor bastard over a weird sense of humor.]

Changing clothes is just a bandaid solution. You can hide with me while we figure out how to free you from... whatever contract there is.

[He purses his lips.]

The thought of you getting hurt by them is... like watching someone kick a puppy. I don't want that on my conscience.
