[Ryou is also on the streets of Goldenrod, Banshee the Hisuian Zorua by his side as he navigates the city. He almost passes right by Kisara, only to overhear her words and stop to see if she's okay.]

Hey, you alright? [Banshee watches carefully from beside Ryou, not approaching yet.]

[Unfortunately it's Sadiki that's noticing Ryou and Banshee first and is moving forward and looking ready to fight already. Which is, well, not exactly unusual. Though it gets Kisara's attention properly and she's looking towards where he's moved, blinking slowly at the two.

Huh. Well, now that isn't an appearance you see every day, is it?]

Sadiki, it's fine. [The absol in question doesn't seem to listen for a half moment before returning back to her side, though still keeping a close eye on the "intruders" of the conversation.]

A little lost still, but it could be worse, I think? Getting my bearings and what everything is, though that seems to be... normal, here? [She's only guessing by how people seemed ready to help her with any questions so far.]

[Banshee bristles right back, unafraid despite the type disadvantage, and only stops when Ryou shakes his head at her.]

Banshee, no. We're not battling. [Banshee huffs, but settles down.]

Sorry about that, she likes to fight. [Ryou smiles awkwardly before continuing.] But you're new here, then? I'm still a bit new too, but I guess so many new people means the locals and the people who have been here longer are more willing to help someone in need.

[It's weird, but certainly a good thing so many people are willing to help.]

[Sadiki seems just about as willing to fight as he's bristling in turn, but at least not moving from his spot. Though when she's called off, he looks up towards his trainer again before returning to defensive. It's fine, it's perfectly fine.]

Ah? That's fine, Sadiki just wants to be protective. [A little too much in her opinion, but she can't say she doesn't appreciate him doing so. It's been... helpful up until this point, since she certainly wasn't sure how to deal with a creature attacking her that she hadn't seen before. It wouldn't have gone well for anyone.

The awkward smile is returned in kind, her free hand not on the Pokemon pushing a bit of hair out of her face and behind an ear.] I'm not going to complain about it, I prefer them like this than how people used to be. [What with... everything, but she's quickly brushing past it.] It's so odd to see so much vegetation everywhere, but refreshing! Even if it's a little chilly.

[What were people like before? Ryou wants to ask, but it's brushed past too quickly, so he just moves on.]

Oh, where are you from? This is kind of similar to where I'm from, but a few decades into the future compared to my time.

[It was a bit of a surprise to go from 1999 to 2022!]

[In theory he could ask, but she's not really one to press her problems onto someone else unless they specifically ask. It's, honestly, probably better for everyone this way.]

I suppose the easiest way would just be to say Egypt? [Easier if someone doesn't know about specific places, even if she doesn't really know how to classify herself outside of just "Egyptian" at this point.] Decades into the future? We didn't have anything like... most anything I've seen here back home, I can't imaging that it's easier on anyone else.

[Well then. Based on what she's saying, Ryou's starting to think she might be from ancient Egypt, which would be a coincidence considering all that's happened.

He can't assume though, this could be someone unrelated altogether.]

[Man, she's lucky if she knows where anything outside of Egypt is in relation to anything else, much less anything that far East.

She pauses immediately on hearing his name, that...

That is kind of oddly familiar and not in the best of ways. But he doesn't look like that one and he's claiming he's not from Egypt, so it just has to be a coincidence, right? It should be fine, he's been nice enough so far.]

[He thinks he recalls that name, from what his friends told him about their trip to find out Atem's name. He was told a lot about that though, so it's not immediately coming to mind who Kisara was.]

Japan is way to the east of Egypt, it's an island country.

[Should he mention the massive time gap between Kisara's probable time and his own?

...Well, it'll probably come up at some point, so there's no point in not mentioning it.]

...I think my time is actually several thousand years after your time. It was 1999 where I'm from.

[If only he knew all the details of it, but it's probably better this way that it's only a passing familiarity and little more. She's rather keen to move on from most of the things attached to her past at this point.

To the east of Egypt and an island country? That sounds like it'd be almost impossible to get to...]

Ah, that would explain why I'm not familiar with it, then. [At least her geography knowledge is being expanded a bit, better than she could have asked for.

She pauses on the time. She... knew how things turned out for her. That it's very entirely possible for time to have passed like that. But several thousand years? And she feels no different than she did before arriving in this place...
