On purpose, by accident, accidentally on purpose...either way, you're under the mistletoe and you're going nowhere until there's been a kiss. Blame social standards, peer pressure...or magic. Pokemon magic. Of course it just be a peck on the cheek. Or not...winkwink~

Walter shook his head. When he was younger he liked to imagine that maybe his mother had kissed him once, before she left after he was born. But he had no way to know.

It didn't help that he had bad experiences in trying to approach people and his cult upbringing had included a very warped idea of sexual education, focusing on keeping the orphans terrified of sins and preventing them (especially Walter as the chosen Conjurer) from forming strong bonds with each other. It was easier to break an isolated, lonely child than one with a network of friends.

At Rhys' suggestion however, he shyly nodded. He did want to know. And he trusted that Rhys wouldn't be taking advantage or trying to humiliate him. "I don't know what to do." He warned, as if that wasn't already obvious.

Ooh, this guy. This poor guy. Rhys offers him a smile and a shrug, lightly bumping shoulders with him. "Don't worry about it. Honestly I've kissed like..." A few people. Y'know. Girlfriends. "some people and you don't really know how to do it! It's like, you got these things shoved between your lips so what do you do, right?"

Rhys.

"Okay. So just...close your eyes. You don't even have to do anything."

So he'll wait until Walter's done that, and he'll lean in and press his lips gently against the other's!

Things shoved between lips? That only confused him slightly - was Rhys talking about tongues... - before he was told to close his eyes and that made it seem so simple. Walter only hesitated for a moment, searching Rhys' face before closing his eyes as instructed.

At the touch of Rhys' lips, he had to remind himself not to bite his own or jolt back from nerves. After a brief moment he tentatively pressed back, holding his wrists - he didn't know what to do with his hands so it seemed safest to hold himself back from doing anything wrong.

[ Rhys maybe instructed Walter to keep his eyes closed, but after a second or two he opens his own to take a peek. He looks so...nervous. That's not fair. Everybody got kissed; it was just part of how things went! How could you hold a guy back from even the simple pleasures of life?

He deepens the kiss, just a little, holding it there enough for him to gently take Walter's wrists and wrap them around Rhys' waist. ]

Walter had been about to pull away when Rhys took hold of his hands, tugging them around him. And the deepening of the kiss made him gasp - as much as one could mid-kiss.

Carefully, he gently rest his hands against the small of Rhys' back. He would have opened his eyes but he'd been told not to, so he did his best to seem calm. Despite his heart thudding and his face heating up as the kiss seemed to continue on, longer than he thought it would have.

Rhys would honestly be okay with letting this draw out a little further. It's unfair, all of it is; Walter's a nice guy who's been isolated in every sense of the word, not even knowing what a little kiss is. Apparently he was from the past, like, way back in the earth days. And he's damn happy that earth is gone now, because people who treated Walter like they did don't really deserve to smell the flowers, honestly.

But he pulls away, and offers a smile. "See? Good?"

Thoughts of 'unfair' were the furthest thing from Walter's mind. He needed a thoughtful moment, face still flushed. "Yeah. That was really...thank you."

He hesitated from taking his hands off Rhys. He liked the contact and Rhys had put his hands there, so it was okay. At least, he would think so.

Oh my god, okay. So that's pretty dang cute.

He's also noting that Walter hasn't really moved yet.

"Do you...uh. Want another?"

Walter didn't even try to hide his surprise. "Is that okay?" He didn't mind kissing at all, not with Rhys at least.

"Mm-hmm." He offers Walter a smile. "Why wouldn't it be?" He can't help but hold Walter a little closer. "Forget whatever those Order guys said. You do what you want to do."

At the mention of the Order Walter lowered his eyes, clearing thinking deeply. After a pause he raised his head again and leaned forward to gently kiss Rhys. It's wasn't very confident or as impassioned as most acts of defiance typically were, but Walter still didn't know what he was doing when it came to kissing.
