[Jack grins. Because Rhys sure is standing under a sprig of mistletoe. That's just hilarious. He kind of can't believe this tradition has apparently persisted on so many planets, it seems like it's just a socially sanctioned way to allow sexual harassment in the workplace, but whatever.]

[He can't let this opportunity go to waste. Yeah, sure, he's married and everything else, but it's just Rhys. He can do whatever the hell he wants with Rhys, if Nisha ever pops up again, she'll probably want to hear all about it. And the guy is basically inviting it. That's literally what mistletoe is for.]

Walter would have thought there'd be no mistletoe in the Rocket base. So hopefully, he could avoid the awkwardness of that tradition at work. He didn't even celebrate Christmas...

He was in the middle of a report in the labs when he went to take a break and stretch his legs - and came across Felix outside. He tried to avoid the other man, only briefly meeting his eyes before trying to pass.

Walter hadn't met to catch Angel under the mistletoe. He just meant to pass through, but as he stepped under the door he found Angel ont he other side, looking straight up. He blinked a few times before following her gaze. Oh. Oh...he lowered his gaze down again.

"Have you not seen mistletoe before?"

[She'd been avoiding Jack with good reason. After their last legitimate conversation, she'd wanted nothing to do with him. And with Jack appearing to want the same well... she wasn't going to look a gift diamond pony in the mouth.]

[But still. He'd gotten married. Good things (and good distractions) were happening in his life. She at least owed him a little bit of courtesy, right?]

[She approached quietly, hoping maybe to take him by surprise (it certainly wasn't because she didn't want to look him in the eye as she did it). When she drew close, she pushed up on her toes and pressed a kiss to the side of his face.]

After the last time, Walter was being hypervigilant in avoiding any mistletoe at the Rocket Base. He kept checking doorframes for any of the offending sprigs and almost refused to walk under any that had some, as far as he could anyway. There was some over the cafetera doors that he couldn't avoid, and it was as he was walking through those that he ended up bumping into Manaka.

Privately he just hoped she didn't notice it herself and bring attention to it. "Excuse me."
