CR MEME!

It's time for our winter CR meme. By now most of all should've received your Snorunt fortunes so why not use that as a jumping off point?

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Like before, this CR meme will also include a template specifically geared towards Rocket CR. Please fill it in to let our Rocket members know how you feel about getting your characters involved in some crime.

Cliffnotes: He's an overeager teen alchemist who gets in over his head very easily, once helped overthrow a kingdom, and has a lot of father issues. Right now he, Hunter, and Naeva are heading to Ecruteak.
Looking for: Varian definitely needs more friends, and I'm particularly interested in him getting to know other teenagers because in canon he had no friends his own age at all. So I'd love to experience more of that! I'd also like him to have CR with more battle-focused trainers, maybe sparking a bit more interest in that side of things in Varian. Also, for a longterm/midterm goal, I'd like him to open up to others about his past mistakes and bad choices.

Cliffnotes: Louie's a lazy schemer who loves the idea of wealth. Toward the end of canon (and expanded on over his time in VR) the greed kind of mellowed out? He's 14 in-game now. It's so weird. Anyway, he's traveling kind of wherever with Emporio and laying down some sort of plan for a breeding center with Rei.
Looking for: Anyone who can help Louie move towards setting some kind of goal would be great. He's done the whole trainer, gym battle thing before and enjoyed it but isn't into doing it all again. And right now, there's kind of this breeding center plan, so maybe people who can encourage Louie to go for that in a more determined, less drifting manner. Uh, they'll have their work cut out for them, though!

Looking for: I'd love for him to get to know people who share his interest in (and passion for) cooking, and - in his way - clothing? Boober is not remotely a fashion guy, but he has a lot of feelings about laundry and general garment care, so I think he could have interesting interactions with those who are actually into fashion.

Cliffnotes: Tragic backstory is an understatement when it comes to Sion, but if you want to you can read a monster of a summary here and be horrified. Beyond that, he's been in Johto over a decade and has been a gym leader for a number of years now, so he's mellowed a bit. Still a big ball of issues, though, it just hides under that friendly, all-loving exterior.
Looking for: MANY THINGS but most especially people down for first being good friends and then poking/calling out his issues. Because boy does he still have issues.

Cliffnotes: Shy kid sired by a fay who has huge hangups about his appearance. And being social in general. Has been improving on this little by little during his time in Johto, and is currently living with Sandalphon and Corrin. Sandy's pretty much adopted him tbh
Looking for: MORE FRIENDS. Shrike is still pretty shy but has been learning to be social, more people for him to hang out with/talk to would be great, since you can still count the people he's come to really trust so far on one hand...

Cliffnotes: Somewhat asocial old mercenary who thinks immortality's a curse and who's so deadpan good luck telling when he's actually joking. He has a lot of secrets and some very old traumas/emotional wounds he still hasn't gotten over, but if you need some hired muscle he's your man. He's doing the whole getting badges thing in Johto for lack of anything better to do/it's a good way to kill time. Because he's still kind of in the mindset of he just has to stick it out here for however long and then he'll be back with his friends at home, right?
Looking for: Things!! Really more people who will pester him or refuse to leave him alone are always great. People interested in hiring an experienced mercenary for.... things, are also more than welcome. Geddoe can be tricky to deal with sometimes because he doesn't emote much, regardless of how he's feeling, but if you do get through to him he's incredibly devoted to his friends.

-He's getting to the point where his team might be strong enough to start challenging Aurora League gyms soon. That'll be fun (and humbling, probably) for him.

Cliffnotes: Allura is a space elf lion princess from a mecha anime reboot, currently takin a break from freeing the universe from a ten-thousand-year-old evil empire and suppressing the trauma of losing her planet to catch Pokémon and just enjoy being a space-elf-teenage girl… and only *slightly* suppressing her trauma. She and her boyfriend Keith are usually traveling on the gym circuit- although right now they're wintering on Four Island, because winter on the road was not fun last year- but the cast also has a house on Four Island in Sevii that they visit decently frequently.
Looking for: Always looking for new friends for Allura, especially peers (girl needs more people her age to hang out and relax with). She’s very intelligent and interested in learning about VR!Earth’s and otherworlders’ cultures, but also a skilled warrior and wouldn’t mind a sparring partner. In VR she’s interested in field journals, shell collections, and makeovers including manicures, but you can never have too many hobbies. She’s spoken for, so no shipping please. Not interested in negative CR for negative CR’s sake, but a bit of friction might be okay.
Recent post: The Pony Attack on Voltron House recently hosted a Christmas/Grogory Day party for their current CR. I also plan on putting up a network post set in the Sevii Islands, detailing Allura's Snorunt fortune. Possibly guest starring a bad-tempered Pansear. Other than that, Allura will be spending most of the winter in the islands, training until Johto and Kanto start to thaw and she and Keith can start the badge circuit again, but she'll be willing to travel for things, and she certainly wouldn't mind visitors.

Cliffnotes: Min-Gi's mostly been in Vermilion since fourth wall weekend since that's where he and Ryan ended up and Ryan... can't really travel anywhere with all the snow. I think they're possibly going to try for Saffron and/or take a trip to Sevii at some point this month. They'll probably be travelling more in general once the weather clears.

Until then...

Thanks to some very good Snorunt luck, their band is getting recognition a lot sooner than they (or me) originally anticipated. They probably didn't intend to play too much through January, but they're not about to pass up an opportunity to establish themselves so Chicken Choice Judy will be playing regular shows throughout the month. Thanks to slightly less fortuitous Snorunt luck they're also picking up a private show that turns out to be a children's party. No, you can't come. But yes... there are suddenly going to be a lot of pictures of them in Torchic outfits online. They don't really understand what 'going viral' means, but that's okay because they're somehow learning twice in the space of a month.

Looking for: The Snorunts have given me some very specific needs for the month! Coming to the Poké World from the 80s, Min...... doesn't really get a lot of the modern way of things. I already have a few characters who've been offered to get them started on the socials, but if your character is techy pls help. He is an internet grandpa whose head hurts. He doesn't understand why he can't write to whatever google is called here to get them to remove unwanted images. :(

I imagine they'll also be looking for venues, etc... that are further afield once the weather improves enough to allow for travelling!

I would like to do more with Louie and Shrike and/or throw Varian Shrike's way, if you'd be interested! Louie talks a lot and I like how that can gel with more quiet/shy characters. Varian is more likely to overwhelm someone like that, he comes on strong and gets generally overeager, but if that kind of thing would be fun for you to explore, I certainly think I'd enjoy it!

Honestly more people who can deal with Shrike's shyness are great! He CAN get talkative if it's something he knows a lot about or has strong feelings on, but a lot of the time it's just. he doesn't know what he's supposed to say/do so awkward quiet shyness it is! So as long as it's not to the point of Shrike feeling overwhelmed/intimidated (which I think Louie is socially savvy enough to avoid) that could definitely be interesting. And hey, Louie could help him with his reading/writing/math practice, too.

And FUNNY THAT YOU MENTION VARIAN because I was actually looking at your comment and thinking huh, that actually has potential for an interesting dynamic, if they can manage to hit some common ground. :|a It doesn't come up frequently ICly but, technically, counting his time in Johto Shrike's now 17 (and will be 18 in a few months) which puts him closer to Varian's age range, and like I said, Shrike can always use more friends!

Cliffnotes: Queen of the Mom Vibes. Naeva's been here a few months and has thrown herself into pokemon collecting so she never has time to be sad about missing her husband and child. She's liked most people she's met so far! But there's a lot she doesn't know about pokemon, and she's still a little uncomfortable about battling.
Looking for: I'd love for her to interact with people she can be more of a sassy little shit with. She's been adopted unattended teenagers at an alarming rate, but some CR that's more teasing could be fun too.

I'd also like if there were some CR, new or old, that can help teach her to be better at battling, OR cr interested in helping her renovate a haunted-ass cottage in a month or two. They...might end up a little related.
