CR MEME!
Another three months have come and gone, so it is time for another CR meme. This time, a warm and summery-themed one.
Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.
Like before, this CR meme will also include a template specifically geared towards Rocket CR. Please fill it in to let our Rocket members know how you feel about getting your characters involved in some crime.

Of course, we cannot guarantee anything, and if they happen, it might not happen for a bit as we have plans of our own as well, but we are always interested in hearing what you guys want more of, especially when it comes to helping you build CR!

It would also be cool if there were events that temporarily brought in battle mechanics or other game specific stuff it wouldn't be viable to have all the time. I know you sometimes do this after a game has been released, but it would be so fun to do it for things from older gens too. If we could have Z-Moves...... even just for one event. I would be forever in your debt.

So far, a lot of the events have been up my alley. The contests, festivals, the big Otherworlder tournaments, and this latest event where we could battle more. And even though Allura's a trainer, I think it's great you've been trying to give the other two groups more of a chance to shine!
Do remember this one event right before I came in, a Rhyhorn race I think? Just smaller competitions like that to give Pokemon and trainers a chance to shine, and it'd give players a chance to interact directly more often. Heck, they could easily be folded into events like the lighter festivals.

Cliffnotes: Allura is a space elf lion princess from a mecha anime reboot, currently takin a break from freeing the universe from a ten-thousand-year-old evil empire and suppressing the trauma of losing her planet to catch Pokémon and just enjoy being a space-elf-teenage girl… and only *slightly* suppressing her trauma. She and her husband Keith are currently traveling Johto and hopefully Kanto for the Gym Circuit (in between broken ankles), and possibly other adventures!
Looking for: Always looking for new friends for Allura, especially peers (girl needs more people her age to hang out and relax with). She’s very intelligent and interested in learning about VR!Earth’s and otherworlders’ cultures, but also a skilled warrior and wouldn’t mind a sparring partner. In VR she’s interested in field journals, shell collections, and makeovers including manicures, but you can never have too many hobbies. She’s spoken for, so no shipping please. Cliffnotes: Min-Gi and Ryan are still kicking around Kanto, though they mostly only have access to the more central parts of it. Maybe at some point they'll actually finish exploring it when there's a nice stretch of camping friendly weather. They're still going with the band and probably have a few places by now they play regularly at. A lot of the other ideas I've potentially got in the works aren't quite at the point of being ready to bring in other people yet, but maybe by the autumn CR meme I'll have some more solid stuff. In the meantime if you want a stuffy 80s nerd who likes to pretend he isn't that then Min is your guy!
Looking for: I have no specific thoughts for CR dynamics at the moment, but I have not been able to do as much with the age change event as I wanted to and I would love to backdate some stuff for that if anyone wants anything with a nervous six year old who dresses like a tiny grandpa. That's summer wear, gang. Like I said, he's kind of locked into Kanto for any in person threads, but if that doesn't work we could do accidental inbox threads or something.

Cliffnotes: Rockstar wannabe and slacker, Chai is a "go with the flow" kind of guy. He has a habit of bouncing back from almost anything with his positive attitude (and overall lack of awareness and knowledge). He's...fairly stupid, but he makes up for his lack of brains with a whole lotta heart. He loves music, especially rock music.
Right now, he's just casually traveling around Johto to explore and catch more Pokémon. He's very much a beginner, but with enough time and patience, he can...probably rise to become a great trainer. Maybe.
Looking for: Since Chai is still pretty new, I'm mostly looking for travel buddies and friends! Chai is really into music and is trying to teach himself how to play guitar--though, given his lack of funds, he doesn't have one anymore. So maybe someone who can help him learn guitar would be cool.
Additionally, I'd be open for anyone who's down to clown with stupid, ill-advised adventures. Chai has a tendency to be very impulsive if he thinks something seems fun, which means he's going to be putting himself in a lot of dangerous situations. He'll survive! I think.

Cliffnotes: Cliffnotes: Vinegar Doppio is a somewhat nice, somewhat meek and somewhat dim young man who happens to be in Team Rocket. He was also the right-hand man of a powerful mafia boss back in Italy. Oh, and he shares a body with that very same powerful mafia boss, whose name is Diavolo. It's sort of an anime DID thing but also literally two souls in one body. You know how it goes.
Thanks to his professional experience, Doppio seeks to climb Team Rocket's ranks, but he puts up an upstanding front as a traveling trainer - or at least he did, before his prestigious position in the Legendary Seekers (of which he became a member for the sole purpose of spying for Team Rocket, shhhh) began taking up more and more of his time. It sure is hard to juggle a double life!
Looking for: Oh god I brought this up in the last CR meme and I STILL haven't made it happen: an IC excuse for Doppio to go and beat Clair already. I have realised I don't like writing battle strategies, and luckily since Doppio is a Rocket I don't actually HAVE to, but I'd like him to at least wrap up the Johto badges, dang it! But it's been so long...
In more vague terms, I am always open to all kinds of CR, especially since Doppio, as his own one-body travel group, can be a little isolated! Unlikely friends worming their way into his heart are always great, and I loooove villain CR no matter what form it takes.

Notes: I'll be at Otakon at the end of July, the 27th to the 31st (I'm on staff, so I arrive on Thursday and come home on Monday). I'm Eastern time, and have classes from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. I also do physical therapy once a week, usually on Wednesdays, right now in the late mornings. Cliffnotes: Keith is the most recent Black Paladin (and team leader) of Voltron. Known as a troublemaker for acting out as a child, Keith had a temper and often used it to cover other vulnerable feelings. He's grown a lot since then, becoming a steady leader when it counts, but he's still a bit impulsive and reckless. He'll always be something of an adrenaline junkie, and relies heavily on his instincts to get him through. He's learning here in Pokémon World that he took a lot of his durability and endurance for granted since he didn't know he was half Galra until he was almost twenty years old. Go figure. So, as he travels the Gym circuit as a newly wed with Allura, Keith's been figuring out his new limits and just how far he can (and can't) push them.
Looking for: Keith is a little slow to open up to new friends, but he's a good friend if you can get there with him. I'm always looking for new friends, found family, mentors, mentees... Because Keith can be rough around the edges, I'm definitely open to some rivals and more antagonistic relationships. That said, though, I don't like negative CR just for the sake of negative CR. If it happens that way, awesome, but please don't force it.

Cliffnotes: Luna is dreamy and eccentric, yet very observant of her surroundings. She's an open-minded learner, always willing to absorb new information, and she's very likely to catch something you'll miss. She's wise for her age, but still enjoys the simpler things in life. She believes everyone deserves a chance and tends to pick the underdog or the overlooked.
Looking for: Pretty much anything at this point. I have to admit that I've been struggling with Luna a bit, and I really would like to keep her. So, I'm open to ideas on where to go with her CR. Ultimately, I feel like she'd make an excellent Pokémon Professor as a final goal.

Romelle | Voltron: Legendary Defender

Canon: Voltron: Legendary Defender
Cliffnotes: Romelle is cautious and not one for big adventures, but they certainly seem to find her. Having been raised almost in captivity, her world-view was rather narrow, but she's excited to learn more as everything around her expands now that she's out and away from the colony she grew up it. She just would like to do it in a somewhat safer environment. That said, she's willing to do what needs to be done, and can be a hard worker when it counts. She recently changed over to Breeder from Trainer and will be leaving the Gym Circuit to focus on a new goal. She wants to create a farm where she can grow berries and other agricultural needs for Pokémon and the like, and maybe even open her own Daycare for breeding.
Looking for: Romelle has a massive crush on Kazuki, and that's... kind of in the works. Between Romelle's shyness about romance and Kazuki being oblivious, it's been a tough go. But, I'm super open to find anyone else to integrate into Romelle's life at other levels. She and Allura could always use more spa friends to relax with, and maybe someone can come into Romelle's life to get her out of her shell a bit more.

I've been dealing with chronic illness issues that have just gotten very bad for the first time in my life but trying to keep doing what I love regardless. Timezone is US Central!
CHARACTER
Name Kazuki Hihara;
Canon: La Corda d'Oro and basically every canon piece of media it involves (which is more than you'd expect)
Cliffnotes: Canonically, Kazuki is a B-lister in an old otome game that I'm obsessed with. He's the cheerful one with endless energy that desperately wants to be the mature senpai, but secretly knows that he's really kind of a dweeb. I play him from manga/anime canon (mostly) where he more or less spends his entire college career pining after someone who's Just Not That Into Him. Thankfully he didn't go the incel route and is totally respecting of said girl's decisions, but he's kind of romantically traumatized from the whole ordeal.
In VR, he's like. 24 now? Yikes. His main bag is that he owns a inn/Pokemon rehab center called the Silver Horn. Literally anyone is welcome to stay or work there! He's also a musician (that's what his own canon revolves around) and plays the trumpet professionally. Someday, he'd like to get into teaching kids music on a public education level.
Looking for: I'm honestly open to anything with Kazuki, both good and bad CR. Some things he excels at are, taking in newbies while they get used to the Pokemon world, taking in people who just need a place to heal or chill out, getting together with people who do just about anything musical or performative, and being helpful in general.
I also admit that he's pretty damn easy to take advantage of. For one, he has a terrible habit of biting off more than he can chew and working himself to the bone, especially for the sake of others. He'd set himself on fire if it meant he could keep someone else warm. He's also just kind of a weakling, and awful at Pokemon battles. If you ever want an easy target, he might be your guy!
Honestly, right now, he just needs to make some new friends, and get to know some of the newer friends he's made already better. He's got a solid core of CR he can rely on but I really want him to be a more expansive part of the game. It might be difficult with my current mental stamina, but I think if more people knew him / he knew more people, I might be able to connect with things a little better.

A note: a couple of years ago, some rockets attacked the Silver Horn and stole a mother Meganium (not Kazuki's, just a wild Pokemon he was caring for) that was staying there. At least one of the characters that was involved in that is no longer in game, not sure about the other. If any Rockets would ever want to pick up that hanging thread, or if anyone wants to help Kazuki possibly rescue said Meganium, I would be totally open to that!

Radley would love to get to know Kazuki more. It's hard for him to visit some of his friends if he doesn't have the teleport pads available for their areas. He's always up for networking, and if Kazuki could visit Goldenrod or another city Radley has been to, they could meet there. Or we could do very backdated stuff about when Radley stayed overnight at The Silver Horn in the Spring! Radley would definitely be up for trying to rescue a Pokemon from Team Rocket, but he wouldn't want to put his own Pokemon in danger, hmm. Most of them probably wouldn't be high enough levels to take on Team Rocket.

I think if Min found out about it he would want to help Kazuki and he does have insider knowledge of Rocket stuff even if he's not about to tell Kazuki that.
It may be a longer term thing so feel free to grab onto opportunities that will help free the Meganium sooner, but! It's a possibility.

Cliffnotes: Grant is a werewolf from a modern fantasy setting; back home, he ran a small store specializing in books and materials for the practice of ritual magic, and was a single parent to an adopted child with some demonic ancestry. Basically an extremely normal guy by his own world's standards. He's been in VR for coming up on three years now, and has been somewhat absorbed into the FE3H cast-and-friends, living with them and the various kids they absolutely cannot stop taking in. He's been a little bummed lately since his adopted kid, one of his boyfriends, and a few friends have dropped, but he's trying to keep on top of things and not get too caught up in it.
Looking for: The two big categories with Grant come down to the fact that I'm always up for him Dad-ing at kids or teens, and he could ALSO always use more adult friends! He's a big nerd about magic theory and loves hearing about people's niche areas of expertise, or comparing and contrasting concepts or areas of study unique to other people's worlds with what he's familiar with. Even if it's not really someone's specialty, he loves hearing about Concepts and Things and rambling at people in turn! I'm also open to negative CR with him, though it can be hard to maintain since... well, in the event that he doesn't like someone, he'll typically just avoid them.
