Kuvira | Avatar: The Legend of Korra

[personal profile] metalbinds 2017-02-28 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
A - action

[ The first thing that strikes her is that she is alone. No army, no weapon. Kidnapped? Unlikely. Something else, then. Potentially spirit activity. It would explain the lack of bending, from what she's read on spirit projection. The entity that greeted her claimed to be her mother, and was certainly not, and this... thing she's been given, well. If it isn't a spirit of some kind, she's hard pressed to say what it might be. ]

Aron!

Yes, I've gathered that your name is 'Aron,' but I want to know what I'm doing here.

Ar?

Literally anything else besides your name?

Aron, aron-ron!

[ Kuvira rubs her temples, because of course she ended up with the least helpful one, and turns to another human arrival. ]

Do you have any idea what's happening?

B - text

[ The key to successful reconnaissance is, of course, stealth. Which is next to impossible on voice or video here, but... ]

Hello. My name is Fei, I'm a new arrival here. You'll have to forgive me - I'm a little less used to grand adventure than some of you seem to be from what I've read! I've barely journeyed outside the Earth Kingdom, myself. Though, of course, I'm sure that doesn't mean anything to you.

I have a lot of questions about Pokemon, of course, but I have no idea where to start with them. Any tips for a new trainer out there? Or, failing that, what are your homes like? We all seem to come from very different worlds.
torching: (i've got the scars from tomorrow)

hi friend; b

[personal profile] torching 2017-02-28 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
[ he's a new face, too, and obviously just as lost as "fei" is. yet, when he hears something familiar, something that sounds like home, he feels inclined to answer back. ]

You said you're from the Earth Kingdom?

[ if he's not the only one from home, then he has to know. even though the little torchic on his lap is driving him nuts. ]

Does the name "Republic City" sound familiar at all?
metalbinds: (10)

oh boy oh boy

[personal profile] metalbinds 2017-02-28 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
[ Ah, a bite. Excellent. Now to sort out which one this is. ]

Of course. Are you from there, then? It must be rare for people to arrive here from the same world.
torching: (i'm in the details with the devil)

this is fine

[personal profile] torching 2017-02-28 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Lived there all my life. We got lucky, then.

[ then it's settled: someone from his world is here. he doesn't ever remember hearing of someone named fei, but he'll help anyone he can. ]

Are you a bender?
metalbinds: (08)

totally fine

[personal profile] metalbinds 2017-02-28 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
I am. Or I was, before coming here. It's alarming, to say the least, but not exactly a feeling I thought people replying could relate to. How about yourself?
torching: (i'm just dreaming of tearing you apart)

friendship bracelets

[personal profile] torching 2017-02-28 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
I guess they really have stripped us of our powers.

[ he opens his palm again, hoping that by some miracle, a flame will pop up. alas...nothing. ]

It's probably because of the...Pokeyman? Is that how you spell it?

[ no, mako. ]
metalbinds: (15)

[personal profile] metalbinds 2017-02-28 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
I think the proper spelling is "Pokemon". They're certainly strange, aren't they?
torching: (and besides in the meantime)

[personal profile] torching 2017-02-28 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I'm not even sure how they can fit in those little capsules they came in.
fluidsea: (Madison: Concerned)

[personal profile] fluidsea 2017-02-28 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
A- Action

As Madison was no stranger to weird developments (she did periodically turn into a giant robot mermaid after all) she wasn't too freaked out about the current situation being transported to strange world. What she was concerned about was the weird woman claiming to be her mother and the blue sea lion called a Popplio. (which she gave the name of Mira)

Popplio!

"Look I know we're lost but why are you still refusing to go back in that ball? It's safer in there than out here."

The Water type just responded with a cheerful 'Pop!' and Maddie just sighed, felling the start of a long day.

George Sewell | Silent Hill: Downpour | Animal Abuse CW?

[personal profile] sortasorry 2017-02-28 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
A- Rocket Base, Action

[George Sewell did not do chain of command. He'd worked painstakingly hard to drag himself up from the lowest ranks in Ryall. He'd stabbed more backs than he could count, both figurative and literal, in order to situate himself in a comfortable life. He was able to get his hands on the best shipments, to get prisoners alone and make them squeal, and to get troublemakers out of his hair in the cleanest way, all because of his hard work.]

[To be back on the bottom made his palms itch, made his vision turn red.]

Can you believe this bullshit? [He spoke to no one in particular, yet anyone who would listen. Sewell was not the friendsmaking type, but contacts were contacts. He didn't want to drag his ass back up from the bottom, but he wasn't about to lay down and take it.]
B- Video

[It isn't hard to figure out the device, nor how to make it record. While normally Sewell might have avoided extended contact with random strangers, he needed to get a feel for where the hell he was and how to continue.]

[First things first, he needed to work on advancing in the ranks. Part of working his way up to the top meant playing the role he was assigned. If stealing Pokemon was meant to be his game, then he'd have to figure out the best way to play it.]

This thing working? I was hopin' to find someone to help me out. Can't quite get a handle on this whole Poke-a-mun thing. Everyone's saying there's something supposed to be in these balls, but I can't get it out. I'm in a city -- Goldenrod.

Mind helpin' an old man out?

C- Goldenrod - Action

[Caring for small animals was the sort of hassle that Sewell hadn't expected upon waking up. It wasn't that he didn't like animals, only that he preferred ones that didn't squeak when they barked and could fend for themselves.]

[The thing at his feet, a Zorua someone had told him, was the biggest pain he could have wound up with. While his Skorupi was perfectly self-sustaining, this piss-for-brains dog seemed incapable of functioning on his own. He'd lost count of how many times he'd kicked it by now, though he considered it a point of pride that only a handful of those had been intentional and out of frustration.]

[This, however, was one of those times. He'd been in the midst of coercing a kid to hand over his pokemon ("I've got a better one, kid, right here" he'd said, gesturing to an empty ball) when the creature had ran up and pissed on his victim's shoe. He'd ran off in disgust, leaving Sewell empty-handed and furious.]

[The resultant yelp and cries from the creature were certain to draw attention, and so Sewell quickly reached down and clamped its mouth shut.]

Ya wanna wind up at the bottom of the pond just outside of town, huh? Then quit your yelping.

[The thing was worse than Pendleton.]

Hey...buddy....... [ ROCKET BASE ]

[personal profile] 11121_assumption 2017-02-28 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Walter paused, slightly turning his head to observe after Sewell's outburst. He'd survived throughout his life by watching and listening, keeping low. Unfortunately he'd found that people seemed to address him quite often in the base - the labcoat must attract them. Disregarding the fact that the two children who'd followed him (and had since attached to him in a sense) had done so before he'd been approved for lab duty.

At his side was his faithful lab assistant and bodyguard; Chaos, the fully grown electric lioness. She enjoyed 'discouraging' Felix away from him, who was he to deny her some fun while he went about his work?
sortasorry: (Default)

shows up two weeks late with this asshole

[personal profile] sortasorry 2017-03-09 11:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Sewell leaned toward the man, brows pulling tight over already narrowed eyes. A hand lifted, fingers snapping in the face of the blond. The at his side, though close in resemblance to a lion, bothered him little. Whatever fantasy fuckfest this was, he had his own creatures to defend him. The dog was effectively useless, but the scorpion, a Skorupi, seemed like it might prove to be useful yet.]

You some kind of fuckin' idiot? I'm talking to you. [Another snap, and another step closer.]
11121_assumption: (Default)

LET'S PRETEND that didn't happen...

[personal profile] 11121_assumption 2017-03-09 11:52 am (UTC)(link)
Walter gave him a carefully blank look, letting Chaos growl and swish her tail threateningly. He kept his hands loose beside him. Yes, Sewell had Pokemon too; but he seemed new. At least, Walter didn't recognise him around the base. While Chaos was the Pokemon beside him, he now had a team that he thought of as his 'Rocket duty' team.

"What are you referring to as being 'bullshit'?" He asked calmly.

Jean Grey | All-New X-Men

[personal profile] internalflame 2017-03-03 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
    ACTION; all bark, no bite
[ Wandering around New Bark Town is a young girl with fiery red hair and a fiery chick hopping after her. Seems like she's trying to ignore it, but unlike the music (which she has tuned out already due as though it were second nature), it seems to be a little more persistent in getting its trainer's attention. Needy little chirps escape from it as it hops around in her footsteps, trying to not get left behind.

The trainer herself doesn't look malicious. In fact, she may be completely unaware to the desperate state of her Pokémon as she wanders around, taking in the rest of her surroundings. Was she surveying it for a reason? She seems experienced in that much, as she keeps an eye out for any possible threats.

It's why she's ready with a greeting whenever she's approached.
] The fire bird is a message, isn't it?

[ Because of course she would be paranoid about that. ]

TEXT; at least she's a quick learner
This PokeGear thing is pretty neat. I can dig it.

I'm Jean.
[ Just Jean. Bad things seem to happen whenever she gives out her full name or someone recognizes her, so she's kind of hoping for a fresh start here. ] Looks like I'm another fresh face in the world of Pokémon. Pretty rad, if you ask me.

Let's train together sometime. If you're hanging around in the newbie area, that is. It'd be a pain to have to travel all the way back here just to show a novice like me up.

PS: Is the special symbol over the e necessary? I see it used in everything. Kinda annoying to have to type it out every time though, you know?

Ardyn Izunia || FFXV

[personal profile] maledictus_semper 2017-03-06 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
Action; New Bark Town-

[Ardyn felt confused. One minute he had been within Insomnia, hoping to meet Prince Notics for his final battle, and now he was somewhere else entirely. A green and pleasant village it seemed. Lots of small houses and what was that at his feet, looking up at him? A small Demon? No, it looked friendly. Ardyn went to touch the creature and felt it warm to him. It didn't bite him either. Odd. How could such a strange creature be so tame to someone it hadn't met yet?]

Aren't you a friendly one? I don't suppose you can tell me where I am, hm? I appear to be lost.

Text-

[Ardyn switched the Poke Gear on and hoped that someone was on the other end of the screen, otherwise he would rapidly lose hope.]

Greetings to the folk of this green and pleasant land. I am Ardyn Izunia, Chancellor of Niflheim, and I am indeed very lost. If someone could tell me where this is and what I am doing here I would be very grateful. Also, I seem to have acquired a new friend. A strange-shaped dog who keeps following me wherever I go.

[That would be his new Absol, currently watching what he was doing calmly. Ardyn narrowed his eyes. What was he doing here? Was this just a dream? Was he dead? Had Noctis dealt the final blow in the Beyond, ending it all for him? A strange afterlife indeed.]

I would appreciate assistance in my current predicament. Thank you.

[Shutting the feed off, he realised that someone also gave him this machine. A Poke Gear. That's what the guide book had said once he realised he had a backpack full of goodies. It was almost as if someone had set him up with it all. A test? Perhaps.]

Burgeoning Bellossoms

[Alongside Route 5, there are bunches of very distinct leaves growing. They don't match anything around them and it doesn't take much to notice that them. As someone who has had a connection to her own planet and plants in general, Aerith's curiosity is piqued.

Carefully, she makes her way through the grass with no sound, despite the fact that her boots look to be at least two sizes too big for her feet. As she gets closer, the red and white ball at her waist begins to shake violently.]

OH!

[With very little trouble, Aerith has the Pokéball open and is greeted by a little flower-like creature.]

Bébé!

What? [Her attention is caught between both her Flabébé and the strange leaves.] I'm fine. I swear. They're just... strange.

[Too bad she doesn't see the setting sun and the plants starting to pop up out of the ground.]

Text

Hey, everyone! Aerith here with a question. How many Oddish would you say is too many? And would you include any of its evolutions in the "too many" equation?
