Hey, more then fine - we're meant to bond the most with our... starters, right? I haven't caught any others yet, either.

[ not because he finds pokeballs a bit creepy and scary

But there he is, kneeling and taking the picture with a smile. Afterwards, though, he pauses and then smiles, reaching a hand for the Stufful. ]

Do you know how our first companions were chosen, then?

[ Flashing Prompto another smile for the picture, he keeps his Stufful in his arms afterwards. ]

Maybe, but I think we're supposed to share that sort of feeling across the board. They're meant to be our partners while we're here, don't you think? [ He sees what you're doing, Prompto. Which prompts (mehoyminoy) Chris to flash the guy another smile, albeit wary, but preps his Stufful for the unwanted touch by scratching it behind an ear. ] As for the professor handing out our first starters, I've got no clue there.

[ Thankfully, Chris' pokémon doesn't swat or thrash when Prompto gives it a few pets. As it's more preoccupied in the meantime by the sort of affection its trainer is giving 'em, and the fact is evident in the weird squeaks it makes. ]

So, has anyone taken your picture yet?

They are our partners! But you know - maybe it's just me, but there has to be a reason we got these ones. [ It won't stop bothering him, okay. Who could have known about-- why did he get Null? ] You got any ideas about yours, Mister...?

[ He just. Stops at that last bit, though, smile fading for a moment as he pulls his hand away from the cute-ass plush Pokemon. ] No? [ There's the slightest of pauses, before he lets out a laugh to mask his confusion at even being asked that. ] I mean, I've taken selfies. It's pretty much the same thing, right?

Chris. No need for the 'mister' either. And as for Stufful being my first pokémon, maybe it's the fact we both enjoy hugs?

[ Chris barks out a short laugh at his own joke. In reality, he had no clue as to why they were given their respective starters. Appearance-wise Chris and his Stufful hardly complemented each other, and the same goes for their personalities as well. Perhaps their strength was similar or the fact that his weird moving plush was slow to trust when it came to touch and affection. Regardless, he does feel bad for not being able to seriously answer the question. Since he's not about to make any assumptions as to why Type: Null was Prompto's starter either. ]

Selfies count. Though the reason I ask is that usually the person taking the pictures is hardly in 'em at all sometimes. It's your journey, too, isn't it? [ Chris speaks from experience, but doesn't touch on it any further after gauging Prompto's reaction to it. It's different being a subject in a photograph rather than just taking a quick self-portrait, but Chris keeps that to himself. ] Anyway, those are just my thoughts. I apologize for any off-the-cuff remarks.
